Kent Ravens bid for more silverware
After the Kent Ravens women won their league plate a few weeks ago, this Saturday it is the turn of the men's set up. On Saturday 6th August the Kent Ravens will take on Feltham Eagles in the London League Plate final, as Feltham try to get revenge for 47-26 score line that the Ravens gave them in eth league just a few weeks ago when club captain Andy Munro scored at hat trick, but he'll be cruelly robbed of his chance to lift the the Kent Ravens 8th piece of silverware this week by injury.
Director of Rugby, Alan Bacon said "This could be a great weekend for a club that has only been running for 14 months now, eventhough it's great to get one step further this season, to get the plate while applying for the National conference in 2006 would be a great end to great start for the Ravens".
With the women's team already holding their Plate and the Under 11s of the club holding 5 trophies from the past 14 months to start to the Kent Ravens has been a happy surprise for all involved at the club.
Though the Men's team will be away from the club this Saturday in the final, The Eltham Palace Road ground will still be hosting rugby league with the under 11s taking on Kingston warriors at 1:00pm and then the Kent ravens women looking for revenge over Coventry Bears who narrowly beat them a few weeks ago with a late try, this kick offs at 2:00pm
As usual Adult training is on Wednesday night (both men’s and women’s) while the youth are training on Thursday, for any further information please see www.kentravens.co.uk or call Alan Bacon 07734 082 754.
