Rugby League is a sport that can be played by anybody and there is
no better time to start playing for the Junior Ravens than now! The
anticipation surrounding the new season, for both the Junior Ravens
and the senior teams, is growing by the day and everyone is looking
forward to the new season starting. Also with the rugby league
season being in the summer, it means that the sport is a great one
to keep you fit throughout the summer. Also, new skills will be
learned, it is fun and you'll make new friends.

Tracey Northam, one of the Joint Managers of the Junior Ravens
explains a little more, `Rugby league is a fast, action-packed game
and we are hoping to build on our youth sides' previous achievements
over the coming season. All you need to be is keen to join in, learn
new skills or improve on those you already have, so if you are 7 to
16 come along and give it a try we promise you will have fun and get
fit at the same time!'

The Junior Ravens are going to be playing in curtain raiser games
for the men's squad in the new season so therefore there is also the
chance to play at the very impressive Princes Park Stadium in
Dartford!

Tracey goes on to add, `And maybe like some of our other youth
players winning a place at the London origins training camp to
represent London. You will also receive a free season ticket for
Harlequins RL when you become a registered player.'

The Junior Ravens training sessions will start next Wednesday 5th
March at the Leigh Academy in Dartford. These training sessions are
split into two sections:

The minis (ages 7-11) will be starting at 7pm, and the Juniors (ages
12-16) will be starting at 7.30pm. Training sessions will then take
place every Wednesday onwards from the 5th March.

The Junior Ravens league matches do not start until after Easter but
there will be festivals for the young players to participate in, one
of which is likely to be hosted by the Kent Ravens, before the
league season kicks off.

So why not come along to a training session and give it a go, and
learn new skills and make new friends at the same time?!!
