Ravens receive grant from The Kent People's Trust
Kent Ravens Rugby League Club has recently received a grant from The
Kent People's Trust. The Kent Ravens have received this grant
because The Trust want to invest in the Junior Ravens and youth
rugby league development in what is a traditional rugby union and
football area of Dartford.
The Kent People's Trust is a registered charity that has been
established with the support of Kent Police. The Trust helps to
provide financial assistance to groups that are working to improve
community safety and reduce crime in Kent.
This willingness to invest in youth rugby league development in
Dartford goes along with the aims of The Kent People's Trust. These
aims are to prevent crime and protect people and property from
criminal acts, and to advance education in all matters relating to
crime prevention, community safety, alcohol, drug or solvent abuse
or any matter affecting crime and disorder in the community. This
grant will help to give children in Dartford and Kent an opportunity
to take part in organised sport and learn a new discipline.
Hopefully the grant will also ensure that the Ravens can develop
more quality young players that will one day play for the Ravens
first team.
Also in partnership with Dartford Borough Council, 7 of the Kent
Ravens coaching structure successfully completed their emergency
First Aid training this week including Club Director, Vicki Bacon.
