Disappointing Ravens have tough time

Kent Ravens 6 vs. 76 St. Albans Centurions

After the Kent Ravens stunning win last weekend ex-national three outfit brought the Ravens back down to earth with a bang however it was a catalogue of errors from the usually reliable Kentish side that handed the Centurions the momentum and a lead that was untouchable. With the Kent Ravens being the only club that got promoted into this league through the off-season and the St. Albans club moving the opposite direction a tough match was also expected, the only highlight for the Ravens was a fantastic solo try from Dane smith down the wing dragging a number of the opposition over the line with him and as usual the consistent Thomas Claridge added the extra points from a difficult angle.

The Ravens reserves were also on the wrong end of a St. Albans battle as they took on the centurion second team, Stuart Molloy took man of the match for the ravens by controlling from scrum half and also adding a try and two conversions to his tally for the season, final score Raven 18 Centurions 70.

Next Saturday at 2:30pm will see the return of Kingston Warriors at Acacia hall who after last weekend will be looking for revenge and a chance to take the Ravens sixth spot in the RLC Premier south table.

If you’re interested in joining the Kent Ravens please get in contact by emailing alan@... calling 07707 852 952 or by seeing our web site at www.kentravens.co.uk otherwise you can just turn up at training at 7:30pm on Wednesday for seniors and the Junior Ravens (ages 7 to 16) train on Thursdays at 7:00pm.
