Kent Ravens join Sport 2006

The Kent Ravens Rugby League club have taken up a fantastic opportunity to promote Rugby League in the South-East by being the sole representatives from the Sport at the “Sport 2006” exhibition this weekend (Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th August), the Ravens will have a massive area consisting of a main promotion stand and also the Powergen skills zone that’ll take any children wanting to have ago at Tackling, kicking, passing and much more.

 

The Sport 2006 show is held at the scenic Groombridge Place in Groombridge Village which is situated just west of Tunbridge wells on the B2110 (Junction 5 of M25 then south on A21 then onto the A264), gates open at 10:00am and each day goes on to around 6:00pm and you’ll find the Rugby league area in the central area next to Football and near the display arena.

Sport 2006 will be the most exciting event of the summer holidays in the South-East. The whole family will be able to try over 30 different sports in one day amid the stunning backdrop of Groombridge Place, Each sport from Athletics to Rowing, Football to Rugby LeagueLacrosse to Fencing will have a dedicated purpose built area where everyone can ’have a go’ in a safe and professional environment.

In the main arena throughout the day there will be demonstrations from some of the best sports people in their field. An exceptional choice of quality spectator sports will entertain and inspire you. You can also 'star in' the central displays of Cheerleading, Aerobics or 'show your strength' in the Tug of War.

Why not Try your hand at Karate, test your skills at Canoeing, kick a conversion in Rugby League, experience a wide variety of new sports, and compete in one of the events. Or simply relax and enjoy the atmosphere with great food and entertainment while your family enjoy a fun active day out at Sport 2006.

Live Music, Children's entertainers, inspiring displays, take a family stroll through the Award winning Enchanted Forest and Formal Gardens relax in the specially created restaurant and bar area and browse the exhibition stands including Land Rover, Adidas, David Lloyd and Sencio Community Leisure. All this as well as over 30 different sports to try.
