I will actually start the race at around 7:45 - 8pm. (This is to accomodate all of the normal lolligaggers and poor, lost souls). You will definitely need your light on the way back, and will (probably) need it on the singletrack section in the middle. We run the course there every Thursday night at 8 p.m., and the singletrack section is always dark.

Since the race Friday evening starts at 7:30 and should be say an hour
and dusk is about - what 8:50 - I'm wondering if night lighting is
really a prerequisite for this race. I guess I'll see how quick it gets
dark tonight and if I believe light is not going to be a big issue - I
may run this one after all.
