Dear Students and Parents,
Instructors and Board Members,

On the 17th of November we are going to have our Chop and Shop. We
will be teaching all the students how to break boards and giving
everyone a chance to place their orders for Christmas through our pro
shop.

We are going to be closed Wednesday the 21st – Sunday the 25th for
Thanksgiving Holiday.

On December 1st we will be going to the Pikes Peak Championships at
Coronado High School. Please make sure you pick up a registration
form from your Sensei and register early.

Black Belt Excellence and the Law of Expectation

The average person is apathetic about language; he throws it around
as if it were cheap and harmless. The warrior on the other hand, is a
linguistic warrior and understands the consequences of each word and
converses, as a general would lay down a battle plan. Knowing that
all actions and words have consequences, he methodically thinks three
or four steps ahead, knowing exactly what the results of his words
will be. He uses the power of language to help create his future, by
gently shaping his own, and other's behaviors and attitudes. He
appreciates the power of language and uses it as he would a sword,
with profound respect. As a prime mover of human knowledge, language
shapes nearly every dimension of our lives. Words, whether they are
external or self-talk, direct our attention, our perceptions and
consequently our behavior.
A true warrior learns to use verbal and non-verbal communication to
neutralize conflict before it ever gets to the physical level. He
knows that positive self-talk, allows to him achieve more than
negative talk will. He learns to surround himself with positive
people, places and ideas; while at the same time avoids negative
words, thoughts, or actions.

A winner plans to win, prepares to win, and expects to win.
