Hi Students, Teachers and Parents,
Sorry it has been a few weeks since my last letter, but we have been
swamped with everything going on.
Tournament
We have a tournament at Coronado High School this Saturday, which
begins at 9 am. Registration needs to be in by the Thursday the 16th.
If you are interested in helping by scorekeeping, timekeeping or as a
referee, please let your Sensei know. We have also been invited to
represent Colorado at the America's Goodwill Championships to be held
in Mexico in January. Anyone interested in going please let your
Sensei know.
News on the building:
As most of you know, we are actively looking to buy a building for our
home dojo. We have been located at the present location for over 10
years and are looking forward to fixing our operating costs instead of
dealing with the constant rise in rent. We currently have a contract
on a building located at 1581 York, which is just off Academy Blvd,
between Dublin and Woodman. Being only a mile from the existing dojo,
we figured it wouldn't be a problem for our current students. We are
currently waiting for financing approval, and are hoping to be in the
new location by the first of the year. We will keep you updated as
things materialize.
We will be closed Wednesday the 22nd through Sunday the 26th for
Thanksgiving vacation. Please make up those training days on another
day of the week. Have a safe holiday.
Congratulations to all those that tested for their new belts. Also
want to wish all our students the best at the up-coming tournament at
Coronado. Go ABBA!
Respectfully,
Terry Bryan, Kyoshi
