I have created a hash directory under the "database" tab of the menu.

Please voluntarily enter your information so those hashers that
constantly lose their phone, and with it all their contact
information, can recover at least some of their lost numbers!

Click on "database", click on "telephone directory", and then click on
"add contact", enter you Name, Hash Name, email, and phone number(s).

Summer time, being as f%$#&ing hot as it is, the trails are considerably
shorter. Walkers trail
should be no more than 4.5 km. Runners trail can be longer, but are usually no
more than
7km.

Sunday Runs are adult only runs, as are the rest of our summer time runs.

Family runs resume with the 33rd Anniversary Run on September 3rd.

So, no need to worry about getting caught out in this heat on a horribly long
trail! (Unless of
course the hares do not follow these rules, in which case they will be punished
accordingly)

Kaohsiung hashers from the 90's era will be saddened by the news that
Rupert Bale (Duncemaster) was killed in a skiing accident in Canada
recently. Rupert had over 200 runs with KHHH, 18 of them hare runs.
His wife, Alida Droppert (Bear Back), can be reached via e-mail at:
alidadroppert@...

Lets wish Rupert an 'On On!' to wherever he may now be destined.

In these dark, cold and wet Wintery days, it is understandable that
we may get the blues from time to time. The stresses and pressures of
work add further to our gloomy disposition. It is only natural that
we seek the warmth and comfort of whatever light we may find.

Sometimes the light comes to us – as it did recently to the Hash. And
the Hash, being the solid citizens that we are, feel it is not right
that we hog all of this light ourselves, and therefore endeavor
below, to share with you some of the warmth that this shaft of watery
light has brought us.

Lets call it: Hares fleeing and granny's peeing.

On a recent night run, through an area of Kaohsiung one might
describe as rural-urban, the trail crossed over a few rice paddies,
and then came up a short slope into an alley - dead-ended at one end
by a warehouse of some description. The elaborate security measures
of the aforementioned warehouse included a motion-activated security
light, the wattage of which seemed to roughly equate that of a WW2
searchlight. So it was that four hashers – Spam Jammer (not a tiny
new Yorker), Not your Normal Knockers (be it day or night, they a not
normal), and two other Hashers of the expat variety, moved through
the rice paddies and up into the alley, thereby triggering the
security light.

While the four hashers, mentioned previously, were obviously startled
by their sudden illumination, their surprise was Lilliputian compared
to the degree of angst that suddenly befell the poor granny, who was -
up till that moment - enjoying the relief and pleasure one derives
from peeing in a darkened ally. The startled octogenarian's degree of
consternation was further multiplied, as her furtive glance over her
shoulder revealed the presence of four foreigners, standing virtually
in her rapidly spreading puddle.

In a hormonal frenzy that would impress many a kinesiologist, the
fight or flight reaction set in and she took off down the formally
darkened alley, in a manner which may just put Marion Jones to shame –
bearing in mind her drawers were still around her knees. She
appeared to also provide commentary on her progress - at maximum
volume. Last but certainly not least; in an admirable display of
fortitude and a determination to get the job done, she did not stop
peeing either!

The mind boggles with the possibilities:

· Possibly a cure for constipation.

· Possibly a demonstration sport at the next Olympics – The
squat/pee/sprint (or Splash'n'dash for short).

Ah! Another of those Hash moments.
