Re: [kalis-ilustrisimo] Get Tony Diego to travel overseas for workshops

Hi Serge,

greta to hear from you.
Your view on not opening to variants of Kalis Ilustrisimo is noted.

This is a Kalis Ilustrisimo discussion group where we chat and discuss things intrernal to Kalis Ilustrisimo. I agree.

Warmest regards,
John Chow

Hello everyone.

I have already planned for a few months to invite Tony next summer to France
the small group i have settle there really want him to join us for a while. We are preparing a special trip with him. I have involved in the process a friend of mine who is the head and heir of a famous chinese schoool. He is well aware of the seminars process and business and will help organise things in France. I plan to discuss that matters with Tony in a few weeks.

As far as i am concern opening this mailing list to variant of the Ilustrismo style is not a good option. I notice that in the past many tensions arose around our style as it became fashionable. I despise these attitudes and i fear that for many people, Martial art is just a business like another. I have often encounter people like that and i became more cautious about people year after year.

On the matter of helping Tony. I will continue to do what i always did : send him money on a regular basis, or bring him money whenever i see him. I have to arrange things in order to have this done on a regular basis. For the past years i've been able to send roughly 100 euros a month. Some years less, some years more... I plan to increase that amount to roughly 200 by next october. If people around here contribute just 20 dollars a month we can garanty Tony a decent living. I am teaching for free and i will continue that way, so this money comes directly from my work. My students are poor but they will contribute at their level to help Tony.

Hi Kalam, and everybody,

Welcome Kalam, to this forum which is dedicated to Kalis Ilustrisimo.

Josh also expressed interest. I think we have about sufficient
interest in different countries to do this, so let us start the process.

I am thinking of this September for Melbourne. I need to go to
China/Taiwan/Malaysia in October, so early September for Tony Diego
is a better date for me.

Shamim can host the UK side. Serge can host the France side. I heard
we have somebody in Germany? True? Please extend him the invitation
to join us. Josh takes care of Canada. Roy Harris takes care of USA.

If required, I will take Tony to Malaysia! :):):) Tony asked me to
set up and train a Malaysian team to take part in the Aean GAmes.
Well, I have conducted 2 workshops for Tai Chi people in Malaysia, and
if Tony comes, we will try to set up a team which he can come over
once in a few months to supervise on my behalf as Manila is not too
far away. Romy can also help if he is not busy.

Mang Romy, can you please press on with effort to get Tony his
passport please? Thanks in advance. :):):)

My club is very small. But if Tony comes, I will invite other
martial arts schools (Karate, Kungfu, Tai Chi, etc) to join in the
seminars. I am starting to get active in the martial art federation
now. I have just been invited to be a committee member of the
Australian Kungfu & Wushu Federation. I think we will not make a loss
and can give Tony some money to take home. :):):)

If you know of any Kalis Ilustrisimo practitioner (must be Kalis
Ilustrisimo, not a variant of Kalis Ilustrisimo - because this forum
is dedicated to Kalis ilustrisimo) please invite him to join our
forum. Only when the membership of this forum is firmly and strongly
CORE Kalis Ilustrisimo, then I will open it to Kalis Ilustrisimo
variants.

Warmest regards,
John Chow
