I am legitimate also, please keep my profile active.

I joined this group LONG ago and quit coming because of the spam and
junk that kept getting forwarded to me. I am glad that someone is
doing something about that now. So, I guess I will be here more
often now :-)

My family tree goes from Sijo Emperado to the late GM Joe Halbuna to GM Bob
Maschmeier. The system I learned had been changed from student to teacher and is
not the same as the original method, its more
advanced as it has grown and adopted movements from even more systems. However,
I am training with two of the late GM Alejo Rayes's students, Prof's John Bishop
and Mitch Powell.

actually i found the article very fulfilling .since i am 3rd degree
blackbelt and have been teaching those very words in my teachers school
as well as mine for years.i no longer teach as the intensity of student
enrollment has dwindled.they dont seem to share my thoughts on the
subject.so to them i say good luck but as for me real training is the
only way to be REAL in my defense arsenal.so i thank you for your time
and for including me in the mail system.TRAIN on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most people reading this article won't appreciate this advice. My
only comment is that the truth is sometimes a hard pill to
swallow ... especially when talking about Street Fights.
Please read this article to the end -- I offer a simple solution to
the dilemma. Without the distinction, you'll never be sure you are
reacting at 100% in a real street fight.
So, what is this terrible truth I am talking about? Here it is -- if
you are competing in martial arts competitions, then you aren't
efficiently preparing for self defense.
The very rules that you must adhere to in the ring -- kicking above
the waist, not hitting the groin, no punching to the face, no wrist
locks that lift both feet off the ground -- whatever -- are the rules
that will keep you from responding (automatically) with the "best
defense" in a real street fight.

Note: I am not saying that martial competition is bad. Not at all.
It's just not practical for real self defense.

OK, maybe "no contact" or "light contact" tournaments aren't
realistic, but what about UFC and Pride Fights?...

Distance AttacksSometimes, real fights start with your attacker at a
distance. Not all fights start with your enemy right on top of you.
Fortunately, some of the time, you get a little advanced warning.
Your aggressor may try to get past your long range defenses, for an
in-fight attack.
Or maybe he (or she) is a long-range fighter -- someone who will
start with distance kicks. Your attacker's kick may come flying
through the air, follow a giant step toward you, or just reach with a
long leg.
How to Defend Against a Long-Range KickWhichever long-range kick you
have to counter, you still probably have a situation where your
aggressor's kick is reaching you, but you can't get in to reach your
attacker.
So, what do you do?
The answer is you don't go after your attacker ... yet.
Instead of reaching for your attacker, think in terms of protecting
your own body space. Stop the limb that is approaching.
Ala Bruce Lee, you want to reach with your weapon -- maybe a shin
kick -- to the closest part of your opponent. In this case, you kick
your attacker's shin....

Is it possible to fight power with power?
If someone punches with a power hit, and your best response is also a
power punch, can you be successful with your counter punch?
The quick answer is yes, you can make your counter attack another
power punch. There are some qualifications:

1) I'll assume you won't punches. None of this, first your attacker
punches you in the face. You take it and respond with your punch to
his (or her) face. That's not martial intelligence. It would come
down to, "Who can survive the beating?"
2) Exact force meeting force is probably not the best idea, either.
You both punch at the exact same time, and your knuckles come
crashing into each other. Or you both make contact with each other's
kidneys at the same time. Also situations to be avoided.
3) Don't take your attacker's punch at all, if you don't have to. A
fight shouldn't be filled with proper etiquette. No rules. So, don't
allow your attacker to make contact if you can avoid it.

If you have a well-developed power punch, then think about using it
as your counter punch. Consider:...

Since my sifu moved away I have all this time on my hands (class time,
lol). Anyways, I wanted to share a few things with the rest of my
Kajukenbo chatmates.

www.mywebcashstore.com/hogue4963 and request more information. It's
easy to make money working online from home. Then click on ebay and
amazon links to get your free account.

www.lowrateapprovals.com/26644 helped me save over $200/month on my
morgage payment so I just had to share. They also do new home loans and
much more.

Subject: How to Select Your Martial Arts and Self Defense Equipment
xoyqyycuurya

The most common place to buy martial arts or self defense equipment
is in the local dojo. Most dojos, training centers, etc., have a
small store where you can buy or order the martial arts or self
defense equipment you need for your practice.
Buying your martial arts or self defense equipment at your local dojo
has a lot of advantages. You will get expert advise from your
teacher. He knows your needs and what type of martial arts or self
defense equipment you are going to need for his classes. He will also
be the best person to advise you on the quality of the different
brands due to his years of experience with many different suppliers.
The negative part of buying martial arts or self defense equipment at
your local dojo is the price. Buying only a minor wholesaler, the
discount margins are very small and this will reflect itself in the
prices your teacher has to charge for the martial arts and self
defense equipment he or she sells.
The second possibility is buy your martial arts and self defense
equipment at a local specialized store. The advantage is a lower
price than in your local dojo or gym, you can touch, feel and try on
the equipment before you buy to see if you like it and if the size
fits you. You can get some advise from the salesperson about the
different brands of martial arts and self defense equipment they
sell....
