Where in MASS are you located?? I have allot of contacts in the Boston area..
Good Kenpo instructors
There are alot of Nick Cerio's students still teaching in Mass. His system is a
branch off of the original kajukenbo system. and I know there are allot of Sony
Gascon students still around.
Drop me a line if you wish I will check around for you.
I have a direct email : burtvickers@...
I have a few clips out on the web : google and You tube.com
search for kajukembo or kajukenbo
I hope you find a good instructor to train under.. Then you will truly
appreciate Kajukenbo.

Subject: [Kajukenbo WorldWide] Re: Thank you
Thank you all. True there is no replacement for a good instructor.
But when there is no Kajukenbo school(Western MASS) then parents and
families like my own have to resort to other means to defend ourselves.
True, a good instructor is a must. But those of us who are over 50 do
not want Tai Chi, we want something that we can defend ourselves with.
While it true that it is hard to learn in some ways from DVDs or Tapes,
I would rather learn a little then be a victim. I once read several
articles by a gentlemen martial artist out west who is an Apache and
was said that in most street fights, stay simple. While Tae Kwon Do is
one art I have studied, I believe that we should use whatever we need
to survive. Most street encounters can be avoided, if we just think.
I was really impressed with the short kata of Kajukenbo. Also I have
been impressed with the self defense. While the horse stance is not my
stance I can see where it would help train the lower ranks.
Thank you very much for your comment. If we move soon I will try to
find a Kajukenbo school. Life doesn't end at 53.
