My dear friends, relatives, acquaintances and fans:

I humbly come to all of you in this time of need of prayers for my
fiance' Al Dacascos. He is in a very grave situation right now and
got badly injured while training in Yemen which is a "third world"
country just outside of Saudi Arabia. At this moment, he is unable
to move and needs to be taken to the nearest physician to take care
of his physical problem. While training the security in one of his
student's schools in Yemen, he heard a loud pop and realized that he
had severly damaged his hamstring tendon which ran down his backside
to his thigh thererfore causing him to be unable to walk or move.

Right now, he is under heavy sedation of pain killers and refuses to
go to a hospital there knowing how bad the hospital is there. I'm
sure that his friend Samir is finding ways to evacuate him out of
there as soon as possible. So far, I have had two emails from Al and
they are all "in danger" messages to me saying that men there all
carry Ak-47 rifles and knives with them wherever they go in that
city. It is dangerous for Americans to be about and apparently he is
in a very dangerous situation right now. I have heard only once from
him within the three weeks he'd been gone and await his reply as to
what I can do from this end. His children are all alerted and also
his Black Belt's schools all over the country. I was hoping to have
a sort of "relay" in receiving him from country to country by these
schools and get him home or to the nearest hospital such as Germany
were one of his sons resides so that he can get immediate attention
to his wound.

I ask you to please pray for him and write your name so that I know
you have received this chain of prayer for Al. He will in time know
that we all have prayed for him.

I share this personal plea with all of you even though I know it's
private...but knowing how much you all love him and respect him, it
is only proper that I do this from someone who has loved him for 45
years and intend to marry him at the very date that we planned:
August 19, 2006.

Thank you, mahalo a nui loa, maramng salamat po, gracias, doh je,
domo arigato, gratia, malo le lei; faafetai!

"Our precious Lord, we humbly come before You to ask for Your Divine
blessings upon Sifu Al Dacascos and place your hands of healing right
now upon his head right down to his feet and to the tips of his
fingers but mostly at the area of which he is suffering right now.
We ask for forgiveness for our sins and ask you for comfort on his
behalf and bring him home safely as we have been asking you to do
also for all our troops fighting out there so far away from home. We
love You and know that You love us and especially Al through all his
accomplishments in the Martial Arts world that he has achieved. He
has taught many students throughout the world and they themselves
have excelled highly in the teachings of this masterful art. You are
the only hope we have to ask to help us and our Sifu and Grandmaster
Al Dacascos to come together as one very soon. We need him home on
his homeland and safe where we surround him with our aloha and
comfort. His journey will be rough, we know that, but all we ask is
that you embrace him in every step of the way closer to home. We say
this in your name, Jesus Christ. Amen.
