Re: [Kajukenbo WorldWide] getting into unwanted fights

Your instructor must me wise. Does he teach Kajukenbo? I do not practice this
style as of now.. I practice Poekoelan Tjimindie Tulen, and I love it. Can i get
your instructors name so I can quote what he said? It's inspirational and i
agree 100%. A few weeks ago I lost my temper because someone threw a racial slur
at me.. and i picked him up by his collar and threw him. I nearly felt ashamed
that I didn't handle the situation better. I recall reading online that not
everyone should practice martial arts because some people would just use their
skills to see how much they can do or w.e. I realized I don't take martial arts
to be able to dominate someone in a fight over something pointless, I took it to
expand my mind and develop the discipline and respect that I now have.

running through my mind which are "the best way to avoid being hit is
to not be there"in other words do not let pride or peer pressure get
into the way of common sense we know what we are capable of through
our training and discipline i felt as though i had let my family down
and my instructor (even though i won the fight by throwing the guy to
the ground) i actually lost morally.
the pont is that even though i was intimidated and felt threatened i
was still in the wrong.by law and by my own morales.so to all you who
cannot avoid a confrontation be safe and do only what is needed to be
safe and clear from danger and always remember THE BEST WAY TO AVOID
BEING HIT IS TO NOT BE THERE
