i once was in an altercation where somone was approaching me very
aggressivly and quickly my first reaction was to throw up a front snap
kick but in my nervousness and haste the kick went to his chest
instead of the intended target (solar plexes) i only reacted out of
fear and only struck when my safety zone was violated by his quick
advancement into my safe zone i realize i was wrong in being in the
situation to begin with and also my instructors words of wisdom kept
running through my mind which are "the best way to avoid being hit is
to not be there"in other words do not let pride or peer pressure get
into the way of common sense we know what we are capable of through
our training and discipline i felt as though i had let my family down
and my instructor (even though i won the fight by throwing the guy to
the ground) i actually lost morally.
the pont is that even though i was intimidated and felt threatened i
was still in the wrong.by law and by my own morales.so to all you who
cannot avoid a confrontation be safe and do only what is needed to be
safe and clear from danger and always remember THE BEST WAY TO AVOID
BEING HIT IS TO NOT BE THERE
