Thank you.. I have also gotten a lot of feedback from other forums. The
Pendekkar at my school told me basically to say that i don't want to fight, and
to take a stance that covers my groin but still looks casual. If he swings.. to
hit him ONE time and step away.. and to hit hard to prove a point, then i say I
don't want to fight. Then if he tries again to do like a 4 hit combo and step
back into my casual stance, and like yell that I don't want to fight so that i
can get witnesses for my defense. If he swings again.. then it becomes my
decision what to do.. whether i want to just hit him to make him back off.. or
if i know he is out to hurt me i inflict more damage than i've already done, i'm
figurin a good kick to the solar plex.. then walk away. If i do get in trouble
wtih Johnny Law... then I have a defense. I was actually supposedly in for a
fight today, but the other group of kids didn't show, which i'm thankful for
since i didn't want to fight, but i wasn't going to run and i
already know my friends would have fought for me which i wouldn't want. I
figured the first people out of his and my groups to through strikes would be
him and I, and that if he would head my warning strikes, then the whole thing
would be resolved. But I figure after my frist warning shot.. and considering
both of our groups were probably blood lust.. his friends would jump in on me
first.. and my friends would jump in on them... and since it was on school
property... ida gotten a nice unwanted VACA lol. Hopefully this whole thing is
resolved.. but my friends are talkin stuff now about the other kids not
showing.. only one of my friends has martial arts training, we practice
together... I'm wondering though, would it be WRONG if I were to join a brawl
that my friends were in? I mean they are my bro's and they'd have my back in a
heart beat.. loyalty is big with us. I'm assuming it'd have to be my say at the
time. I think that would go under protecting my friends.. I wouldn't join if
my friends were slaughtering their opponents, or if it was a 1 v 1 fight. I
believe heavily in my training and my art. I want to bring no shame to my family
or school ( Local school and Martial Arts). and I remember these things in my
day to day interactions and choose wisely.

Aaron,
A lot of these laws differ from state to state. Kind
of like a concealed handgun license. In Texas if you
get your black belt you have to register with the
state as a lethal weapon. The general rule is you can
not throw the first punch and you have to avoid any
situation where you expect their will be a fight. The
two black belts being jumped and getting in trouble,
any idea where it happened? Where I am most likely
nothing would have been said except good job. I
recommend checking you state gov. web page. Hope this
answered a little bit of your question.

Paul
