There were rumours that Glastonbury were looking to host the outdoors again
on the first weekend of May, but nothing has been said recently. There was
also the possibility of Thundercatch (St Vincent's, Gosport) hosting the
outdoors again. If nothing has been organised yet, it is unlikely they would
be able to get something together in time for the May Bank Holiday weekend.
If we leave it any later than that, then it probably won't happen as so many
junior teams cannot attend near exam time or in the holidays.
If you would be interested in running the tournament, then send an email
outlining what you can offer, and when.
Realistically, you need 4 pitches for 2 days, and the possibility of
camping, or enough local players to host, at a cost of less than £100 per
team. After that, everything is a bonus. We are working towards minimum
specs for tournaments, bu if you have the pitches and accommodation sorted,
most other things will fall into place.
If anyone from Glastonbury or Gosport would like to post an update, it would
be very welcome.
Kevin.
