Hi Everyone

As promised at the Under 17 Indoor tournament last term, here are the details
for anyone wanting to try out for the GB Under 17 Open team this year. I am
hoping that the details of the tournament that the team will compete in will
soon be confirmed, but it is looking like it might well be in Slovakia in early
July.

Trials are going to be held on Sunday 20th April at:

Hill West Primary School
Clarence Road
Four Oaks
Sutton Coldfield
B74 4LD

This venue has been used before for U17, and also for Women's sessions. It is
relatively near the M5, M6 and M42, and so good for most road journeys. For
those coming by train, Butlers Lane station is just round the corner, and that
is on the line from New Street to Lichfield. The first train on a Sunday morning
leaves New St at 9:12 and arrives at Butlers Lane at 9:37, and then they go
every half hour or so.

Please arrive around 10:30 to get boots on etc ready for an 11:00 start. We will
go on until 4:30ish, with a break for lunch. There will be drills and games.

Please bring the obvious - boots, discs, a light and dark shirt...

It might be cold and wet weather, if it is, then you too will become cold and
wet, unless you bring stuff to keep you warm and dry. Be prepared. There will be
limited shelter for bags (never hurts bringing a black bin bag too) but you will
be exposed to the elements.

Bring lunch. Bring water. It is a primary school - I hope to have access to a
toilet, but basically it's a field.

All players born in 1992 or after are welcome. If you don't think you will make
the team this year but would like to come along for the practice and experience,
then you are welcome to attend. If you are young enough you can always come
again next year with another year's playing under your belt.

Any help from coaches etc to get involved, help running stuff, keeping an eye on
players etc gratefully received.

I am away this weekend, and will be busy next week. But if there are any
problems/questions do contact me.

Look forward to seeing you there

Cheers
Vaughnie
