Any teams going to Junior nationals need to have a named responsible adult
for the team (one of each sex if the team is mixed). This is partly due to
the restrictions imposed by the sports hall, and partly as good practice. To
conform with our child protection policy, those adults need to have a CRB
enhanced check, ideally through UK Ultimate (although teachers with their
school teams should have already received their disclosure through the
school at a time when they were still portable to other organisations).
Ideally, all adults (anyone aged 18 and over) involved in junior ultimate
would have had a CRB check, but that is not always a realistic proposition,
especially as 'junior' covers anyone under 20 for the whole year.

If you are an adult involved in junior ultimate on a voluntary basis and
would like to take advantage of the UKUA's CRB service, we can offer CRB
enhanced checks with most details entered online to help prevent form
errors. The cost of the service is £12 which covers all the admin charges.
If you are interested, then please email me directly and I will get you
registered on our system.
