Hi,

Since 2004 we have managed to have a junior indoor and outdoor nationals
each year, along with the more recent additions of U17s Indoors and junior
women's indoors. We have also been fortunate enough to have had to consider
a couple of bids for both the junior indoors and outdoors. Those bids were
considered by the junior committee with the opinions also sought of the GB
junior squad captains. Since the junior committee is comprised mostly of the
already overloaded coaches and managers of the various GB junior squads, we
feel there is a need for a different group to oversee domestic junior
competitions. So, in the interests of transparency and moving towards
greater democracy and participation, we would like to invite a
representative (coach, captain or just a player) from each active junior
ultimate team in the UK. This group will decide when bid submission
deadlines should be, how bids should be submitted, what criteria will be
used (location, costs, facilities, junior involvement, where profit goes,
accommodation, limitations, etc). how to deal with conflicts of interest and
any other related decisions such a age boundaries, code of conduct, and so
on.

If you would like to put yourself forward to represent your team, then
please send me a personal email, not to the entire junior ultimate group.
Please talk to your team though to check that they consider you the most
suitable to represent them. Any suggestions on what format this group should
take would also be appreciated - email group, forum, facebook group, etc.
