Following the success in 2006 of Malpas, Liverpool and Gosport, the Junior
Ultimate Committee is now inviting bids to host the following 2007 National
Junior Tournaments.

National Junior Indoors
National Junior U17s Indoors
National Junior Outdoors

And if there is demand (or more likely, someone willing to host)

National Junior U17s Outdoors?
National Junior Women's Indoors
National Junior Women's Outdoors

The preferred weekend for hosting these events would be within school
term-time, avoiding half term weekends (Feb 10/11 and 17/18). Some dates are
already on the calendar so try to avoid February 3/4 (regional Indoor
Qualifiers) and March 3/4 (National Indoors). Apart from those, anytime from
January through to end of March would be ideal for indoor tournaments.

For the National Junior Indoors, we are looking for at least 2 indoor
pitches, possibly 3, as we would hope to get up to 24 junior teams there (17
teams attended this year). It needs to be a 2 day tournament, so
accommodation (at least people's floors with option of hostel) needs to be
considered. A central location is preferable, but most teams will travel to
almost anywhere in the country for a 2 day junior tournament. Mid to late
March (before term finishes on March 30th) is probably ideal.

For National U17s Indoors, we had 11 teams competed this year and that could
well grow to 16 teams this time, so 2 halls over two days will be required.

As for junior outdoors, it's always been difficult to find a suitable
weekend. Too early, and teams haven't practiced outdoors, late May and we're
into exams. Once exams have finished, many leave school. The most successful
outdoors we've had, in terms of number of teams, took place on the first May
bank holiday weekend but SATs knockout many of the year 9s, or late
June/early July.

We're preferably looking for a bid that can at least accommodate:
- 4 pitches for two days
- Medical staff
- Cheap accommodation / Camping on site
- Affordable entry fee

All Junior tournaments are covered by the UKUA's public liability insurance.
All adults involved in the running of the tournaments should be UKUA
members, have signed and accepted the UKUA's child protection procedures
including having a CRB enhanced disclosure deemed acceptable by the UKUA.
