Re: [juniorultimate] Re: Pull Rules for Indoor Nationals

Now we don’t want to create a game that is vastly different more a game
for juniors that will allow confidents and talent to grow.

So I would recommend lowering the height (this is just logical IMHO),
encouraging flat throws from the pull (I don’t think blade pulls give
the D team an advantage) and moving the point of start to the front of
the endzone if no attempt is made at the pull.

You could also look at re-pull if the disc is aggressive or dangerous.
The re-pull is something thing the new rules have not covered and
something I have never seen called either. It might be a good thing to
encourage people to make pulls that are nice.

No one seams happy all of the new rules though. I have been to several
tournaments this year that play the drops don’t matter part but not the
brick or take it from the back if you don’t bid.

All I was wondering whether the new pull rules will be used at Junior Indoor Nationals this year. There has been a lot of debate on this subject on both the BD...

This is a debate we need. Personally, I don't like the new rules as they currently stand, not for juniors anyway. I think we need to amend the 2 Metre rule at...

Kev I would agree that 2m is a bit too high for the younger/shorter players. As you say, this could be ammended, to 1.5m for example. When playing in our local...

I'm with Kev - the rules should be as similar to outdoor as possible as to not cause confusion for when players eventually transfer to outdoor. As a coach (and...

We have been using the new rules in our practices since just before Christmas. Initially there was a spate of trying to mac the pull back to the thrower, but...

My opinion would be, that pulls have to be able to be caught (catchabu,sp?), it would be unfair to hurl the disc at the back wall, not forgetting this can...
