I'm pleased to announce the first ever National Indoors for Under 16s. The
tournament will take place on March 4th and 5th at Bishop Heber High School
in Malpas, Cheshire. The cost of the tournament is £40 per team. To qualify
as an under 16s team, all players must be under 16 as of January 1st 2006
(or to put it another way, must not turn 17 this year). This does mean that
some year 11 students may be ineligible. If this causes exceptional
problems, then please email me to see if we can make an exception.

The hall can cope with up to 16 teams. I've already had interest from 10
teams, with another couple of possibilities. This leaves enough room for us
to consider allowing junior womens teams (under 19s) to also enter if there
is enough demand. Even though they would compete in the same tournament,
there could be additional trophies for spirit and female winners. There may
also be an opportunity to stage an under 12s one-off match (not turning 13
this year) for a trophy and title of first ever Under 12 champions.

We can accommodate teams with local juniors for free, and we have a hostel
booked (40 miles away unfortunately, but I drive it every day) for any teams
that cannot be split up amongst houses. This will cost £5.50 a night but is
available Friday and Saturday night and is very luxurious by hostel
standards. It is limited to 30 beds so it's first come, first served.

If you do not have enough for a team, or are just one individual that is
eligible to play, then please contact me. We could form a special U16s
pickup team if we have enough.
