This has been submitted today to the UKUA:
This years Junior Nationals will be held at the Greenbank Sports Academy, Liverpool. The Sports Hall is 44x34x8.4m which accommodates 2 basketball courts to International Wheelchair Basketball Federation standard (and larger than last years venue, Chester Northgate). Seating is available for upto 500 spectators, and onsite accommodation is also an option.
Directions:
Located in the Sefton Park area of Liverpool, approximately 3 miles from the city centre. Good road links with M62 / M57 and M56.
BY TRAIN: Travel to Liverpool Lime Street, and change to Mossley Hill. It's likely that you'll have to get a train bound for Manchester Oxford Road, and get off at Mossley Hill on the way.
BY FOOT: From Mossley Hill Station, without crossing the rail bridge, walk up the hill, past student accommodation, following the road straight until you reach a crossroads. Go straight on, until you reach the park road. Follow this to the right, until it turns sharply to the right. There is a small bridge ahead of you. Cross it, and continue along the park road until you reach a small car park to the left. There is a fork to the right - take the right hand fork. The Academy is appx 100 yards on the right. This walk is just under 2 miles, so be prepared to walk for aroudn 20-25 minutes to get there!
BY PLANE: From Liverpool Airport - Frequent bus links to the city centre (Queens Square Bus Station) run half hourly. The bus station is opposite Lime Street Station, where you should continue as above.
From Manchester Airport - Frequent rail links run to Liverpool Lime Street, where the above directions can be applied.
BY CAR/COACH - From the South - Get to the M6, and follow it North until the junction with the M62 towards Liverpool. Follow this until the end of it, at Broad Green. Follow the connecting A Road left, continuing across the roundabout, until a crossroads. At the crossroads, go straight on down the A5058, under the rail bridge, turning right after the college, down Greenbank Road. Pass Ibbottsons Lane to the left, and turn down Greenbank Lane on the left hand side. The Academy is on the left appx 200 yards down the road.
From the North / North East - Follow the M62 until Broad Green, then follow the above instructions.
Format:
15 minute games, teams split into two seeded pools, based upon previous tournaments.
The Sunday will see the crossover of the two pools, with awards for plate (9th), Spirit, and 1st. Possible award for 2nd and 3rd too, depending upon amount of interest.
Minimum of 14 teams are needed for the event to go ahead, and places are based upon a first-come-first-served basis. Primary Cheque Deadline 31st January*.
Please before sending your cheque can the captian of each team email me to tell me how many players / spectators they expect to come, how many teams they'll be entering, and what their accommodation plans are, as this will help the event run a little more smoothly.
*Any teams paying after this date may not have a place, as I've already had a lot of interest.
Accommodation:
Onsite accommodation is available, based on several sharing. I'm currently in talks over this with the accommodation manager of the Academy, but provisionally should be able to have 42 people onsite. These places must be offered first to school teams who cannot be split up, such as Airbadgers and Arthur Terry. If you want this, I can arrange it with the Academy, but alternative accommodation is organised by yourselves. Breakfast / Lunch / Tea is NOT included in the price.
There is a YHA Hostel situated in Liverpool, adjacent to Albert Dock, and 10minutes from the City Centre, and 3/4 mile from Liverpool Lime Street. PRICES: Adult £20.50/night, Under 18 £15.50/Night.

It would be appreciated if Ocelots / Mowers / Catch Those could stay at their own homes, freeing up spaces in accommodation for teams who have a long way to travel.
If you do not want to stay at a hostel or onsite, you can always stay with one of my team (Catch Those), but there is a very limited number of spaces in our homes, obviously!
Team Details:
- Minimum of 14 teams
- You are a junior up until the END of the year in which you turn 19.
- Teams who have players who fall outside of this boundary must email me in advance, and ask permission to play.
- Junior teams from this year who now have only half a team etc due to the above ruling, may reform if you email me in advance to ask, so long as you state how many non-juniors you have. (This applies more to ThunderCatch, Mongosling, No Pirates, and possibly Tor-Nadoes than anyone else.)
- Geographical teams are strongly encouraged. Non-Geo teams (Particularly those who want to reform) will have to email me and inform me that you wish to play, and name the players that you wish to use.
- Each team must have minimum of 7 players (including pickups). If you pick up injuries prior to the tournament that reduces your squad below this number, you must inform me ASAP, and I will try and get you a replacement.
- Cheque Deadline is 31ST JANUARY 2006. I know this is soon, but i need a 1/3 deposit in before the second week in February to guarantee the booking.
- If less than 14 teams have not paid by the second weke in February, the event will be cancelled, and money returned. The event cannot be cancelled after this date without losing the deposit, so this really is the FINAL deadline guys.
