Well, we said things probably would change again, and they have. Apologies
to all of you who have diligently been studying Danish. Hopefully
transferring your linguistic skills to Swedish won't be too hard. Yes,
European Junior Championships having moved from Lithuania, to Estonia, and
then to Denmark are continuing their European tour and will now be happening
in... Gothenburg, Sweden. Same dates (4th - 7th August) just a different
location. Anyone that's heard of the Dive Hard tournament, this is the same
venue, and the same Tournament Organisers.

The good news is that the tournament is now going to be cheaper, in two
respects. Tournament entry, and flights / ferry means we should save money.
Second good news is that they are hoping to switch the under 16s tournament
from Estonia to the same venue in Sweden. This means that we have a chance
of being at the creation of a new juniors division (we were a couple of
years late for both junior open and junior girls).

What I need is for anyone that is not going to turn 17 this year (born 1989
or later) who is interested, to email me their details. Name, date of birth,
team they play for, experience, and any relevant information will be enough.
I know we have 3 juniors selected for the GB Junior Squad who are young
enough to play under 16s who may still wish to play them. If you are one of
these and maybe not central to the team (Ravi, I'm really not expecting you
to consider dropping down, even though we'd offer you captaincy), then think
about whether you want to be an average player in a squad of 18 with pitch
time equivalent to about 1 point in 3, or an absolute God with the under 16s
who will only get to sub off when you stop breathing and we can't find a
pulse.

I know we have at least 50 juniors young enough to play (thanks mainly to
Airbadgers, Mini Mowers, Young Ocelots and Cath's girls) but let's start by
trying to find at least 12 who can afford to play, and then worry about
whether people are good enough. If we get a good enough response, then maybe
we can run a training / selection weekend on June 25/26. I really believe
we can get a team together good enough to win this division, and feed GB
Juniors / Girls with internationally experienced juniors for years to come.
