If you could send me the excel file you have been using to keep score, I have a laptop and the skills to keep score and would be willing to do keep score.

this is really disappointing, but it looks like Emerald Rose and I are going to have to pass on this year's annual. the month of May is just too busy this year.  Marcia is out of town the first part of the week, and really needs to be at work Thursday and Friday, and my project that I've been working on for over 2 years is scheduled to go live on Thursday, the 13th, and there's no way I can be out of work for the days around that date.  We might be able to stop by on the weekend and say howdy, but not to play.  I haven't even had the time to do the reloading necessary for the match.

Hey pards its almost time for the shoot. Plan on meeting at the Hank Harmon
Rifle range around 6pm. K George will have his dump truck there shortly after
6:30. We'll back it up and load straight into the back. Need to get the tables
etc. Could use all the help we can get. Also letting you know that due to the
small amount of shooters this year I have cancelled Helping Hands being there.
We felt it was to much work for them for so few. Either everyone can furnish
their own lunch for friday and saturday or we'll figure something out. If
anyone wanted to volunteer some chili or soup or something that would be great.
Also still having the BBQ friday evening. Steak, potato, baked beans and probably
salad. If you want alcoholic beverages(after guns put up) bring your own. See
ya tomorrow evening Five Card

Tanya and Everyone

thanks for your comments. sunny and warm - looks can be deceiving. we pulled into Rail Road Flat CA on Tuesday afternoon last week with the sky's being partly cloudy. by late Tuesday afternoon the heavens opened up to rainstorms that would have made Noah proud and could compare to Juneau's October/November heavy rainstorms. it did not stop raining until late Friday afternoon. there was mud ankle deep everywhere. under the RV canopies at night we heard stories on 3 shooters being lost in the mud and were not found. by Sunday morning the ground had dried up just enough for us to 'attempt' leaving. K. George and I made it out OK but others did not fare so well.

while down here K. George shot well enough to make each and every person in the Juneau Gold Miners Posse proud. he got a 'trophy' for being the person who traveled the furthest to the event, came in first for his category for the Plainsman event and first in his category during the match. he now has another really nice trophy from the Plainsman event for his 'Love Me Wall' and a really nice 1st Place Belt buckle from the main matches. something like 130 shooters attended this event.

no pictures of me. KG and I were shooting next to each other so other pictures were somewhat hard to take.

if anyone in he Posse is interested in another good match to attend, the High Sierra Drifters shooting out of Rail Road Flat put on a GREAT annual match.

until next time - J.J.

Thanks to all that came and shot today!! Weather was fantastic and almost kinda
hot. Welcome to our new shooter Yukon Deb.....DH Haulers better half. She was
fun to shoot with and we saw great improvement thru all the stages. I didn't
post her 5th stage but it was 73.04 with 4 misses. Big welcome Yukon Deb.
Buckskin only shot 3 stages as his broken finger was hurting to much. Congrats
go to K George for top shooter and WTG for doing so well and sharing his
adventures with us for his shoots down south. He represents us with honor I
guess you'd say. Most of us had ammo or gun problems today but hope we overcome
and don't have any for next month. Good luck to DH and Yukon Deb with their
adventure to Anchorage. Thanks again to all and hope to see you next month July
18th. If anyone comes up with some fun/different stages give me a hollar and
we'll use them. Five Card Tanna

ps I posted the scores on the web site. Let me know if you can't get them and

 Lee,
Could be. I just checked and my screwknife is missing.  I last saw it at the shoot helping someone with a jam rifle at he line.
Mine has a brown bone handle with a cross on the top of the handle, and a damascus style pattern on the blace with a flat tip.
Does that describe what you found?
Hope so...

It has come to our attention that this month's shoot will be on sunday the last
day of the Golden North Salmon Derby. For some reason I'd thought it was the
next weekend.....Anyway Not sure how many plan on shooting for August shoot but
if you plan on shooting would you email Five Card or Buckskin and let us know
ASAP. If to many are busy fishing or doing other stuff we'll possibly cancel
the shoot for this month. You can also call Buckskin (321-4032). Hopefully all
will respond and we'll post on the web site weather its a go or a cancel.
Thanks Five Card

Just a friendly reminder that the October monthly shoot is this sunday the 17th.
Usual time ....set up at 9am shoot at 10am. K George has volunteered to write
the stages this month..Thank you K George. Lets hope for some dry weather!! If
per chance its really nasty like it was the 12th we might cancel but doesn't
look like it'll be that bad. Hope to see lots of you for some fun shooting.
See ya there. Five Card
