Once again its time for another fun packed sunday morning with all the
pards.  Hope for some sunshine and warmth ok??  As usual set up at 9am
and shooting starts at 10am.  Forego the fishing and hunting and come

Sun was out and it sure must of affected our shooting?  We did have
three pards shoot clean stages though.  DH Hauler, K George and Ready
Bullion.  Thanks to Ready for collecting money and doing the posse
sheets.  Really appreciate it!!  We were a small posse but that didn't
stop us from having fun.  Also appreciate the help setting up and
taking down.  You line was what?  Anyways next shoot date is the 19th

I would like our monthly shoot to return to Saturdays.  Does anyone
else have an opinion on this matter.  Can we make the change effective
CY 2009?

Nah..Do not really care which day it is...Saturday is as good as Sunday.  Except for us working folks who do not want to spend all day Sunday after the shoot cleaning (yes, I said cleaning) their shooting irons, Saturday works well.

Unfortunately, Saturdays are working days for me.  And Puffy always stays out
REAL late on Fridays so it wouldn't work too well for her either.  Tongass

Just a reminder that the Oct shoot is this sunday.  Bring your rain

Well we were small but we had fun!!  Rather then do stages this month
we opted to do some man on man stuff.  Buckskin had some good ideas.
Those present were-

Ready Bullion
DH Hauler
Buckskin John
Five Card Tanna
Tongass Twister
Adam Shame

Buckskin was the top shotgun,  Tongass top pistol and Five Card was top
rifle and 3 gun.  I got lucky as others had gun malfunctions.  We used
the fall down plates for the first time and they worked great!!  We
missed all ya pards that weren't able to make it but hope ya will be
able to in the future.  Check emails in the near future as we're going
to have a meeting to discuss posse business and the shoot days and

Great weather today.  The sun was shining on all us cowboys and
cowgirls.  I've posted the scores on the website but will put just the
totals in this email.  Thanks to Buckskin for the shooting orders.  We
shot the last stage 2 times.  Missed all ya cowboys that couldn't make
it.  Next months shoot is the 21st of December.  Starting in Jan we'll
try switching to the 3rd saturday for our monthly shoots.  We'll keep
ya'll posted if this changes.  Thanks to all that shot and helped.

Here is what I am thinking.
Pistols; 1911 or double action of the period.  Not worry about rifle
cartridge for now.
Any shotgun prior to 1917, this would include Mod 12's and a few semi-
autos.
Shoot a couple of two gun stages, pistol shotgun/pistol rifle stages.
Final stage, 1911 or da, plus SA( 15 rounds), shotgun, and rifle.
Shotgun and Pistols magazines loaded at the loading table.
1911's magazines loaded at the shooting station.
We should allow all variations of 1911's but pass on Glock's, Sigs, and
others that do not pass the 5' rule.  If at 5' it does not look like a
1911 then it isn't.
No compensted barrels or optics, but allow adjustable sights.
Limit of five rounds per magazine or revolver loaded at a time.
Lead bullets only.
Maintain SASS muzzle velocity standards.
Consider either two person teams, or shooting persona(Pike or Deke) as
the categories.

Just a reminder that this sunday is the final Cowboy shoot for 2008.
Remember that starting in January 2009 our shoots will move to the 3rd
saturday of each month.  Planning a wild bunch shoot for that one.
