Wish I could have been there this weekend but my wife just returned from 2 months of radiation treatment in Arizona   She has a clean bill of health so 18 months of surgery, chemo and radiation are all behind us now.  Thanks to all who kept us in their prayers! 

Now for a suggestion –

When we started writing stages a couple years ago we agreed that we would limit rifle stages to 8 rounds with reloads.  There are a large number of rifles out there that will not hold more than 8 rounds of factory ammo.  The list includes Winchester Trapper Carbines, all the Uberti Replica Winchester 1860’s and 1866’s and variations, the Puma 92 Carbines and the Marlin Cowboy Competition.

I have seen a lot of stages lately that have 10 rounds.  This is very unfair to those shooters that have rifles that can’t hold 10.  I have written my fair share of stages and have more coming but I will never write any stages that eliminate shooters because they don’t have the right ammo or rifle type.  I urge all of you that write stages to please be considerate of other shooters equipment limitations.  Let’s make these shoots fun for everyone.
