Julie has retired from the tennis circuit and is very sadly missed, but her fans have such great memories of her. Of the way she played with such freedom and inspiration, of her lovely smile, and sweet manner. Put simply, Julie Halard Decugis had such class and heart. She overcame severe injury problems during what should have been the peak of her career to return better than ever, to become a top ten singles player, and to retire ranked as the number one doubles player on the planet. A great player, and most of all, a great lady.
