Weather is supposed to be good on Sunday...anyone planning on heading to the fields? What time??

Pop Warner players and cheerleaders crossing "our" field. I
put "our" in quotes because we need to remember that we are
squatters there. They have the permit for ALL of Downes during
football games. Over the years we have managed to stay out of their
way -- juggling time slots as needed -- and they have almost always
accommodated us.

Of course we want to keep younguns (and some olduns) from wandering
into the end zone during points! But screaming at 10-year-olds
and/or getting in the faces of parents and coaches won't help us,
even if we are right. Just remember they are kids and their games
are huge family/community events for all the adults involved.

The guy who bristled at us today was spoiling for a fight, and if we
provide one we will ALWAYS lose, especially if we provoke someone
into complaining to the police or rec dept. (I think, but cannot
guarantee, that I talked him out of doing so afterward.)

Most of you dont even need this reminder, but it never hurts to
chill and be glad that our sport is so much more fun.
