How's it going Batuqueiros/Batuqueiras?

Special note to Xingu's students, our knowledge of Capoeira will be put to the test shortly so be prepared to account for the following:

1. What do you know of the origins of Capoeira?

2. What are the major influences of Capoeira and why? (People, locations, key events)

3. Where do you think Capoeira is heading?

4. Who was Zumbi and what was he known for?

5. What are other martial arts, dances, & religions related to Capoeira?  How do they intersect?

Everyone is encouraged to jump on this, not just Xingu's students.
