to his favorite organization, Mar Vista Family Center.
Founded in 1977, Mar Vista Family Center is committed
to providing a safe and energetic environment where the
youth can harness their skills by focusing on personal
growth, education, and community leadership. Within the
center, the By Youth For Youth (BYFY) group was established
as a platform to address solutions to violence affecting
their communities by developing awareness  and skill-building
programs.  Programs include art & music classes,
after-school tutorial, mural projects, pre-teen & teen  
leadership, as well as life and job skills training.
