Twins announce spring schedule
Grapefruit opener set for March 3 against Red Sox

MINNEAPOLIS -- Twins fans can now mark their calendars.
Minnesota's pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report for 2005
Spring Training Feb. 20 at the club's Florida home at the Lee County
Sports Complex in Fort Myers. Workouts begin Feb. 21.
The Twins' full squad is scheduled to report Feb. 25, with the
spring opener set for March 3 against the Red Sox at their
Grapefruit League crosstown rival's City of Palms Park.
The opener at Hammond Stadium vs. the Blue Jays is set for March 4
at 1:05 p.m. ET.
The 16-game home schedule includes visits by the Yankees, Phillies
and three by the World Champion Red Sox. Special promotional games
will be announced at a later date.
Tickets go on sale Jan. 8 and cost $18 or $16 and will available for
purchase on twinsbaseball.com, by calling (612) 33-TWINS or toll-
free at (800) 33-TWINS. In Fort Myers, tickets can be purchased in
person at the Hammond Stadium box office.
The Twins open the regular season against the Mariners at Safeco
Field on April 4.
