Torii Hunter didn't take long to get back into game form as he blasted the first pitch he saw over the left-field wall. Joe Mauer went 2-for-3 on the day with a solo homer and an RBI
single. Lew Ford also homered in the 3rd. Johan Santana threw 2 scoreless innings while giving up 1 hit and striking out 3. Carlos Silva followed Santana with two scoreless innings, allowing 3 hits and striking out 3.
