1. Critical Mass bike ride reminder and message from the Chairman
This month's CM ride is this Friday 26 April 2002.
CM REMINDER: Fri., 26 Apr 1pm. Meet in front of the HaMashbir in the city
center. Critical Mass, last Friday of the month demonstration for cyclists'
rights. Bring the kids. Ride single file. We don't disturb the traffic. We
are the traffic. We will be polite to everyone including motorists. Come
early and get sign for your bicycles 1/2-hour before the CM.
Further CM questions? Call Leon (053) 801-867.
Critical mass is alive and well, despite the small turn out on the last
Friday of March. We'r going to have a bumper turn out on the last Friday of
April, that is 26th April as usual in front of the Mashbir at 1300 hrs. I'll
bring balloons and placards. See you ! -- Leon
2. Open Sport phone line to City Hall -- Ask about Bike Path
Here's a chance to make a difference. On Thursday 25 Apr 2002 starting at 4
PM (and probably open only 'til 6 PM) City Hall (the "Iriya") will have
another open telephone line on Sport. You can phone and ask about the
progress of the bike path. The number to call is: 106 or 531-4600.
You can then speak directly to our Mayor Ehud Olmert or one of the othe city
officials connected with Sport. Tell them how much you want a bike path all
around Jerusalem, and ask what's hapening with it. Please call!
3. Green Event at Givat Ram campus of Hebrew University
"Megama Yeruka" events at the Givat Ram campus of Hebrew University on
Wednesday, the 24th April, Wednesday from 9 AM to 2 PM. Please turn out in
great numbers and show that we support Green Week with our bicycles.
