Re: Drunken fist

I have heard he has a Film school that centers
around action flicks, and I bet they teach Martial Arts.
Hapkido,I don't know if it's Hapkido. Hapkido is a gentle
art and not as strenuous on the body as the stuff
Jackie was weened on. His KF teachers were renowned for
their take-no-crap style and gave out brutal
punishments. Jackie once had to do a One handed handstand on a
chair, sitting on a table, for aslong as he could. When his arm
finally gave out, he went head first into the table and
still sports the scar. He also used to take regular
buttkickings from Sammo Hung. A stuntman or actor would need
more flashy TKD/Wushu stuff. I know he has said that
MA training helped him do lots of stunts because he
was so in tune with his body and knew how to make it
do things other guys can't. The Opera School he went
to was very famous in HK,and has put out a number of
famous HK movie people. Sammo,Jackie,Yuen Woo
Ping(Designed the fights and trained Keanu and co. for "The
Matrix". Also has directed some of the best Kung Fu flicks
in history. Co-ordinated the best KF flick I have
seen, Fist of Legend) and a bunch of others. He most
likely would teach a Wushu-esque art,Wushu growing with
leaps and bounds in China now, also very popular with
movie producers(Darth Maul,Jet Li). I don't think you
are wrong, I think you may have just misheard as to
which art is taught in his Film school. Hope that info
helps.
