Can I just finish this here. It seems to me that the club has divided into two factions, those seriously interested in the game and those who just want to play for fun. Both have fundamentally different views on how training should be run which aren't entirely compatible, but neither are actually wrong.

As far as the comitee goes, if you will cast your mind back to this time last year the turnout for the AGM was terrible, I don't think that there was anyone who turned up who plays this year who didn't get elected to a post because we had a certain number of positions to fill and only a limited number of interested parties. The only people I remember being enthusiastic about the positions they were given were Ad and Barry being social secs. Myself and James took our positions under duress, James because he couldn't commit to outdoor practices and myself because I really did not want to do it, I took the post under the condition that I shared it with someone else, hence Dale's vice presidency.

We should have an AGM asap, but we will not make any decisions at that AGM unless a significant proportion of the team is there, I hate to have to say it, but if we can't find a committee that actually want to do the job next year then we would be doing any potential new members a favour by disbanding the club.

1) Yes, I'm also to blame, I should have said all this quite a long time ago, and I've done my job as a social secretary really badly. and I've been stupid to send that first e-mail that was neither constructive, nor argumentative.

2) Yes, there seem to be a lot of stuff that I don't know. You've never really told anyone how bad the financial situation was (apart from a few e-mails mentioning it very briefly), and the good work you've done to make it better.

3) I haven't been doubting your commitment to the team during the past years at all. What I meant was that you should have given up your position as treasurer when you realized that you didn't want to play ultimate for jesters anymore.

3) I don't think I know everything at all. I was just pointing out the way I feel about the club

4) Was I complaining about the unflushables bill? I was more than happy to anticipate it with my own money. And it's my fault that I didn't get a receipt from the tournament. I'm not blaming you about it.

5) It's too late to change this year's positions in the club, and to be fair I don't really see the point in doing it right now.

6) I don't see this conversation to be deconstructive at all (apart from my first e-mail). It's time that people start saying what they think, rather than complaining about everything without ever raising their voices (and bitching a lot behind people's shoulders)

7) I didn't want to be offensive towards james. I apologize again.

Hi,
I want to add to this, I know I'm not very committed to the club but there have been several reasons involved with this:

Firstly, Adriano before you start trashing everyone elses names you yourself are the social secretary, there is no way you can be totally blameless in this whole rant as you yourself are part of the committee. If you felt that there where problems within the club then why not voice them to the other people at the time or in emails to the people on the committee. It is really the job of the social secretary to keep people motivated about the club by organising and gettting people to attend socials.

Secondly I have done my job, I have taken the club from -£400 to +£300 in just 7 months, and I'll remind you that at one point I had over £500 invested in the club out of my own pocket, which I had to work hard to get back, so don't criticise my position as I have got the club out of the serious shit which it was in. I have also put in a grant application so that the club will have more money for tournaments next year, something which won't benefit me but I took my time to do, I may not play very often but don't think I don't do my job. There is a lot about Jesters it seems you don't know, remember last year, biscuit ran the whole club singlehandedly and that didn't work, financially you guys are in a much better situation for next year than we have been for this year.

Thirdly I cannot think of many other people who over the last two years have committed more time to jesters than james so don't slag him off because you think you know all. More to the point James took the captaincy rather grudgingly as he was the only one with the experience to do it even though he had far too many commitments.

To be perfectly honest the whole attitude shown by your emails adriano is the main reason that I have stopped playing, I find the club is bitchy at times and an atmosphere with which I do not want to be associated. I have played ultimate in the last 4 months as I went to great barr and actually enjoyed the game, something I have not experienced for quite some time and cannot see happening at Jesters anymore.

If you are going to complain at footing the whole bill for the unflushables tournament I told Matt G to get in touch with me and I would organise travel reimbursement for those that went but I cannot do anything without knowing what costs where involved. There is no need to criticise the work done by others.

If you want me to give up my position adriano then tough, you'll have to wait because I am not buggering about changing the bank accounts around because I have a lot of work to do myself. I have a lot of Jesters shirts which belong to the club and someone else can look after them if they want as they should be used next year.

I suggest that we have an AGM at which adriano can make his voice a bit louder for all I care, if you think this kind of thing helps adriano, wake up, it only drives a wedge between people and makes people even less likely to play. I will try to show my face a little more if I can, that I agree I should try to do.

If anyone wants to carry on this deconstructive conversation then feel free to do so but I wanted to stay as far away from it as possible but felt I had to say something in light of the fact that Adriano had directed comments towards me. I am not going to make any further comments unless someone has something useful to say.

I might see you all tomorrow,
Paul
