For those of you who have access to the "SUN Sports channel", sometimes
referred to as Sunshine Network, (Dish Network channel 422), scan the
program schedule. I just enjoyed the 1982 Daytona 500, originally
broadcast by CBS.

Bobby Allison won in a Buick (but you true fans probably already knew
that).

It was a genuine pleasure to watch a race without all the modern
trappings. Unfortunately, re-experiencing NASCAR's past only makes many
of today's complaints more glaring, but I'm making a point to keep my
eye on this channel. I want to Tivo as many of these as I can.
