Joannie Rochette and other skaters from Canada made The Skate Blades
20 most promising skaters list. I believe the other Cdn's were
Elizabeth Putnam and Sean Wirtz, and Shawn Sawyer :) There are
other skaters on there and believe me it's tough voting :) Here is
the website so you can vote for your choice :)

Hi All: I have the Jayson compilation tapes ready for sale. Not only
are we trying to raise some money to help Jayson out but just as
importantly I think the sale of these tapes would show him that we
are all still out there supporting and cheering him on.
In order to keep the quality of the tapes as high as I could I have
put everything on 2 tapes, both recorded in SP mode.
You can buy either tape 1 or tape 2 or a set of both tapes.
The cost per tape is $10 US or $15 Canadian or if you want a set of
both tapes it will be $15 US or $20 Canadian. The price includes all
shipping costs.
Here is a list of what is on each tape:

Tape 1

Skate Canada 1996: both short and long programs and some interviews.

Nations Cup 1996: long program

Canadians 1997: short and long programs and some interviews.

Canadians 1998: short and long from CTV plus the short and long
programs recorded with no commentary (a nice change)

Skate America: (French) short, long and interviews.

Quebec Divisionals 1998: short and long programs

Skate Canada 1998: short & long programs and interview

Eastern Divisionals 1999: long program

TAPE 2

Canadians 1999: short and long programs

Canadians 2000: short, long program halted, withdrew

Canadians 2001: interview, short and long programs and Gala

Canadians 2002: short and long programs plus additional long with no
commentary

Four Continents 2002: long program

Please email me at sk8fan@... for more info or to order....

Please pass this info on to anyone or to any lists you might know of
or please let me know of any places you can think of to pass this
along.

Thanks everyone and here's hoping this show of support gives Jayson a
boost.

Hi All,

I got a reply from Skate Canada about how to help Jayson with
training funds. The money goes through the Skater's Trust (I have
a 7 page document with allthe details you could possibly want...)
but the simple story is here:

> Thank you for your interest in financially supporting Jayson.  If
you > would like to donate money to Jayson you can do so by sending a

> cheque payable to Skate Canada in Trust for Jayson Denommee.
Once
we > receive the cheque the funds will be processed through the
Skater
> Trust, in compliance with the Skate Canada Skater Trust guidelines ,
> and directly returned to Jayson minus 5% for administration
fees.
> If you have further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
> Have a great day!
>
> Celina Stipanic
> National Teams, Athlete Services Coordinator
> Skate Canada/Patinage Canada

and here is the address:

Skate Canada

I would send it c/o Celina Stipanic, that's what I itend to do in the
next few days.

Hi,

Here is the text I sent to the Jayson mailing list (if it is still
running).

*********

Hi All,

I hope this group is stlll going, I feel bad as a big Jayson fan
that I've been unable to contribute (lots of other life stuff) in
the last two years. I finally got myself back to Skate Canada this
year and saw Jayson skate. As most Canadians will know, he came in
last. He had two new programs that I just loved from what I saw. I
spoke to him after the long program and he was very discouraged,
even talking about quitting. Funding is his biggest problem right
now. I wanted to try and do something about funding for him after
2000 Nationals but I wasn't able to, now I think it is imperative.
He was going to to think about his options and I asked him to contact
me with his decision but I would also like to start something moving
on finding some sponsorship or support for him. I know it is alot
to ask of people but I will contact the National Teams leader at
CFSA and find out about sending him some training funds, if anyone
else would like to help, or has other great ideas, please let me
know. Jayson got to skate in the Gala and seeing him smile on the
ice made me think even more that he needs to be given a great chance
to succeed.

I also am going to get my Jayson fan page back in order, the archive
version is at:

http://www242.pair.com/amossman/JAYSON

and I hope to post new photos and Skate Canada reviews ASAP.

Thanks for all the help, Jayson fans!

Well gang, Skate Canada has come to a close and Jayson pleased the
crowd, but didn't have the best of skates. He finished 9th. Though
he was more then likely disappointed, it's the beginning of the
season and this is always something to learn from :) Good luck in
the upcoming competitions Jayson :)

Hi All,

After two years of 'life stuff', I'm finally coming back to a
skating event. I'll admit it, Jayson at Skate Canada finally pulled
me in. I arrive in Quebec City tonight and I can't wait to see
Jayson skate. I think he'll do GREAT! If I'm allowed to take
pictures, I might even update the sadly moribund Jayson page again.

Anabelle Langlois & Patrice Archetto are Canada's two-time pairs
national bronze medalists. Although they have reached the top
echelon of the sport with their results, that doesn't mean that they
are millionaires (or even close to it) by any means. Langlois &
Archetto do not have a sponsor and are working jobs on the side of
skating (and in Anabelle's case, school) in order to finance their
skating. All of this takes away from their actual training time.

Help support Anabelle & Patrice and buy a Beanie Baby or two (or
more)! 75% of all money taken in will be sent to Anabelle and
Patrice as a surprise. All Beanies are mint or near mint condition,
with uncreased tags. They make great gifts and you are helping keep
a skater's dream alive.. Every little bit helps!

For more info including a list of available Beanies and prices (most
are $2 or $3 US) please visit:
http://www.geocities.com/sfskating/beanies.htm

Thank you for supporting our fundraiser! I'm sure that Anabelle and
Patrice will really appreciate it.

Well, Jayson was awesome! His jumps are bigger in
person then on TV! <br><br>*BRIEF summary, cause Laura
writes better ones*<br>His SP was the same as last
years. LOVE this program. The only stupid part is that
his music near the middle kept cutting out for a few
seconds, and he sort of got lost. He started to skate
around trying to regroup and rethink his routine. After
a fall on his triple axel combo, he still was
awesome to watch!<br><br>His LP is new and as some people
say, he was in a shagadelic top! LOL VERY 60's :) So
his music suited that theme. He of course did AMAZING
and therefore won. Doing his triple axel combo and
other jumps that made your mouth drop! It was certainly
a highlight for sure...<br><br>We even saw him up
in the spectators area after the SP and he was on
his cell phone, LOL CUTEY

Yeah!!! Jayson is scheduled to compete in Senior
Men at the Quebec Summer Provincials this summer.
It's taking place next week (August 16-19th) in
Pierrefonds, which is so close to my house, like kess then ten
minutes away. (I timed it last summer at if we hit no
lights it was 7 minutes from the arena to my house. I
even have a "local" synchro swimming meet on the 13th
which is further away then the arena). Anyway Sarah
(mushie_b) and I are going to be there so we will make sure
to keep our eyes open and to try and remember
everything about his program. <br><br>Laura

Hey everyone!<br> I just joined this club today,
I always liked Jayson's skating, but I really
appreciated it this year. I sort of saw him skate at the
Quebec Summer Provincials this summer, I don't remember
all that much, sorry! Anyway I just thought I should
introduce myself, my name is Laura and I'm 17, I live in
Montreal, on the West Island. I don't skate, but I did
synchro swimming for 6 years... um, I don't know what
else to say! LOL! If you wanna know more, just
ask.<br><br>Anyway the order of skate for the men's SP at 4CC is up,
Poor Jayson, he drew first! :( Oh well, if he hits all
his jumps (including the 3a/3l!) hopefully he won't
be "forgotten". Here is a link the full start list

was always inside him waiting to appear.
Congratulations, Jayson! I'm dissapointed by the CFSA decision

chance to go. I can understand the reasoning but it's
really hard on all the skaters to know that a great
Nationals performance is not enough anymore. I'm very
pleased that Jayson will get to go to Four Continents and
I hope he gets some good US press and TV coverage
