Hello.

I started throwing jav a little late in life...at
about 36.  I have been throwing about 4 years and do
pretty well in competition, though I do not quite
throw correctly yet.  I tend to throw with a little
curve to the right, losing probably 3 meters per
throw.

Can anyone recommend training tools that might help me
straighten my throw a bit?

actually I had that problem for a while too, but
you know those running bands use? where one side
is a person holding a rubberbad that is connected
to the other side that is put on the runner, well
for the use of this, it helps you over correct
your self. You do your footwork into your throw,
like you are doing a full throw, and have someone
in the bad pulling it just enough to feel it and
running with you a little but still pulling when
you do your full throw. You do this without the
jav first adn then with, dont throw hard though.

I have added some small snippets to the weights folder and will add

I just found a link for getting some money on balancebar.com/grants and noticed
they have some kind of grant program for any kind of sport, has anyone or their
students ever applied for something like this, your feedback will be greatly

Hi, I'm new to the club and I was wondering if anyone knows where I

(of zelezny,of others throwers and...mine).do you think you are too

I would like to write about a couple of injuries which have occured
during my training and i don't know what i should do.
My main problem is my shoulder...Whenever i throw the javelin i have
a terrible pain in my shoulder.I know that this must be caused
because of my bad technic,so i would really appreciate it,if someone
who knows,could send me some photos and some directions in order to
improve my technic and what i should do to reduce this pain.I found
something like that(techinc's instructions) in the JavelinNET but it
was written in Finnish and i cannot read them!I have also searched
for photos of Jan Zelezny but i really need some instructions too...
  Another problem i've got is my waist.Sometime it hurts but not as

hi i have had trouble with my elbow since july as i tore a muscle in
my arm from throwing the javelin incorrectly. i have only reccently
started throwing again and although i have pain when doing standing
throws i can get a pretty good painless throw with a run up. to get
this i have been trying to use my hips alot more pushing everything
through from the hip this gave a lot of rotation and less stress was
put on to my elbow. just practice using your hips more and letting
your arm go with the flow. hope this helps
