Re: [Javelin Throw Club] tennis elbow

Anupam,
Like Craig said (and speaking as a new thrower but long-time tennis instructor),
standard remedies apply. The versions of what is generally known as tennis
elbow are almost completely injuries of over-use--only secondarily of bad
mechanics. Of the standard responses, the most important one is arguably
rest--something us throw-whackos don't like to do. Recovery times increase
dramatically in five year increments post 25, so rest!! Don't throw much, if at
all, the first day or two it feels better--don't be fooled. Tim J.

As with any sports injury, a good rule of thumb is icing the effected area and slowly work your range of motion while cold! Follow with heat. Cryotherapy. Rest...
