Wings outfielder Jason Kubel came to the plate in a bunting situation on
Tuesday: runners at first and second, no outs, game tied.

Manager Stan Cliburn wasn't biting.

"You will never see me ask Jason Kubel to bunt," the manager said. "He's
here to get on track and swing the bat."

Kubel, the 2004 International League Rookie of the Year and batting champ,
is the Twins' No. 1 hitting prospect.

"I don't think Mr. Terry Ryan would think too highly of me for bunting
Jason Kubel," Cliburn said, referring to the Twins' general manager.
