Hi! This Tuesday and the rest of the Tuesdays in May, I will be doing a brick workout starting at Jackson Elementary school in Freeman Field at 5:00pm. "Brick" is triathlon jargon for a training session that is made up of a bike ride followed immediately by a run. I think the expression comes from the idea that your legs will probably feel like bricks at the start of the run. But anywho...for the ride portion of the brick, I plan on doing relatively short routes at a "smart" pace (seeing as I have to run afterwards and all).. The first route I've chosen is about 15 miles and mostly flat. It will be followed by a run of 2 to 3 miles on the path down to the soccer complex. The run portion is optional, so if you're looking for a chance to do some shorter group rides but don't want to run, please come along. Hope to have some company on Tuesday!! ![]() Take care, Liz |
