Group Rides
I have been asked by 3 community members to have a 10 mile slower ride for new riders. If anyone is interested in leading this ride let me know. This will have to be a no one left behind ride. Rides like this are how we get new longer distance riders. When summer gets here we may have someone who wants to lead this ride 1 or 2 times a month but theirs schedule won't allow them to help lead a ride until June. Again this is how we get new longer distance riders please help out. This route could be as simple as Jackson School to Schleter road to 600 E to 200 N back to Walnut St and in. Doesn't have to be anything to scenic.
B2 Time Trial Series
18 days to go. Start planning your teams now see if you can take down the previous champions in the team competition. B2 Bikes & Boards won in 2007 and Team Bolla won in 2006. The team competition isn't that hard to win you just need riders who can attend on a regular basis. You get up to five riders with only 4 being of the same sex. The team competition is for the entire series most points wins.
Kidsfest
Let me know if you would like to help out with the safety classes, bicycle rodeo, helmet fitting, or tricycle rodeo. During kidsfest on the 26th anytime from 10 - 2. Just reply to this email or call me at 524-7433
Road Clean Up
It has been suggested that we clean 600 E sometime the week of the 21st. We need 7 more people to help out and we should be done pretty quickly. We only have 1 mile to clean and with 1 person delivering trash bags and doing the running in general and with 8 people picking up from starting points everyone one would only have to clean one side for a quarter mile and be done. Let me know what night during the week of the 21st is good for you and we will work it out. This will also make our stretch of road look good for the first time trial on the 27th.
