Bicycle Repair 101
Last Thursday was the final installment of the class series. Thanks to everyone for coming out and making it fun. Big thanks to John for reminding Rick Z about what he learned on the road ride Sunday. I hope all your rides are fun and safe and you never have to use anything you learned.
B2 Bikes & Boards
Spring is finally coming only 15 more days until it is official. Everyone can get out and ride more starting Sunday night don't forget the time change. Repairs are starting to roll in so don't wait until the last minute to get your bike checked over before season. Right now I am about 1 day behind so don't hesitate.
Training
Plans are already being made for a Tuesday night newcomers road ride followed by a speed freak ride immediately following. If you want to come out or know someone who is just starting to ride let them know to get in touch for more details as they develop. If you are a speed freak you can do the first 20 as a warm up and hammer yourself to finish the job off. More details coming soon.
B2 Time Trial Series
Looks like the Series will play host to a bragging rights group of teens this year. We had a couple last year and looks like they are trying to bring friends for 2008. Wouldn't it be interesting to see a girl come out and beat all the teen boys in 2008 if you know one that wants to ride bring them out Time Trials are for everyone to have fun. Anyone not interested in riding but that might want to work a corner or even help score let me know I will take any and all help we can get.
Kidsfest
April 26 10am to 2pm the club wants a booth to give create more club awareness and attract new riders and members. If you want to work the booth for 1 hour or 4 hours let me know. I will be doing bicycle safety classes with the Seymour Police Department, and kids who do the class and the rodeo get a free helmet donated by Pardieck law firm on Chestnut street.
Jackson County Bicycle Club
At the spur of the moment meeting after the class Thursday Kenny Gillaspy was elected president for the 2008 year. Thanks Kenny for being a trooper. If you have any items you would like to see the club do in 2008 let Kenny know.
