Skateboarding will soon be a crime in the city of Seymour if we don't do something. Councilman Mary Voss 522-6695, Mike Jordan 522-6783, Lloyd Hudson 522-7174, and Jim Rebber 522-8195 all voted yes to and ordinance that will make it illegal to skateboard in the areas between Broadway and Pine Streets from 4th street to Bruce Street. This is mostly downtown but has some homes in the northwest corner of the area. This isn't banning skating on the sidewalk it is banning it everywhere in this area including PRIVATE PROPERTY. Call the coucilmen above and tell them what you think of this ban which began with bicycles in it. This means you would not be able to ride your bicycle accross downtown when riding. This is no longer a safety concern like first proposed it is now an attach on kids with skateboards. Help STOP this and them from over stepping the bounds of there elected seats on the council.
