Moni and I are planning our own little “torture test” for Saturday.  1 lap at Huntsville, then ride to Double Lake on Farm-to-Market and Forest Roads, ride a lap there at Double Lake, then limp back to Huntsville, and MAYBE ride another lap there.  Plan is to be at Huntsville at 9:00 AM.  Anyone who wants to join in is welcome.

Enjoy the "Sam Houston Century" - I presume you've seen the map link on the GHORBA forum?  DL was in great shape yesterday, did HSP this morning and it's got some wet spots, but 99.9% rideable and be even better tomorrow.  With a ride like that though, thought you guys would be doing the E2 tomorrow!

Long time no post.

Havnt ridden in about a month and a half. Mostly due to the constant rains. El
Nino for us though...

Looks like one week of dry weather would re-open the trails. Not going to
happen. Thursday-Saturday are going to be complete washouts. Mainly friday.
2-4'' shown now. I was just thinking of riding too.

Weather models show a wet pattern ahead for the last half of the month.
Maybe some riding in before we see February. Just thought i would give the heads
up for all you hopefuls, myself included. This sucks.

Keep us updated on the trails Booker. I'm going out first dry day!

Went and did some walking the other day. Pulled some fallen branches off the trails. Looks like some people are trying to ride. Maybe the closed posting isnt large enough. Dont know how it looked when you went Booker but its going to be a few weeks from what I saw.

Rode Double Lake this morning, the trail recovers from rain well. It was a
peacful, quiet, serene ride, ghosting along on damp leaves in solitude, right up
to the point that someone threw a wild pig at me. I swear it came across the
trail two foot off the ground and after I untangled myself and stood the tree
back up, I looked around for it, assuming it had dropped dead from cardiac
arrest, but alas, no bacon to be found.
