13 HUGE matches in all for our 13th Anniversary
[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
Our fans have asked for a very long time for what many consider to be the best
tag team in wrestling today to be on an IWA show.
Well, you asked for it and now you will receive it because it has been
finalized...THE BRISCOE BROTHERS will be on Night 2 of the TPI.
Maybe even better than the fact that The Briscoe Brothers will be making their
debut in IWA is who they will be wrestling that night.
The fans in attendance will have the ability to determine what team faces the
Briscoes on night two.
Each fan will be given a raffle ticket when they enter on NIGHT ONE. After each
first round matchup on Night One, a jar will be made for the loser of the
match. At the end of the night, as you leave, you can drop your raffle ticket
into one of the jars for whom you would like to see against the Briscoes. The
top two vote getters will be teamed together to face the Briscoes on night two.
You the fans asked for the Briscoes. You the fans will get to choose who they
wrestle.
We'll see you September 4th at NIGHT ONE of the TPI!!!

IWA Mid-South Tryout Show #4
If
you ever thought that you had what it takes to be a ring announcer,
manager, valet, ref or wrestler for IWA Mid-South this is your
opportunity to prove it.
So far, we have had some great success
with our tryout shows. We have added The Hooligans, Bill the Butcher,
Ryan Phoenix and several others to our active roster through these
tryout shows.
The last tryout show saw the biggest opportunity
earned..."Tokyo Monster" Kahagas was so impressive in his tryout match
that he earned an birth into the 2009 Ted Petty Invitational to square
off against Roderick Strong. Anyone that was at the tryout show is
already anxious to see that hard hitting battle just waiting to happen!
There was also an 8 man tag that brought the house down and earned all 8 men at
least a future look to earn a spot.
This
is your opportunity to show that you can be the next CM Punk, Chris
Hero, Colt Cabana, Jimmy Jacobs, Delirious, Matt Sydal, Alex Shelley,
Chris Sabin or one of the other many future superstars in the wrestling
business that cut their teeth by working in IWA Mid-South to get their
name established.
Ready for the twist?
We
will be running the tryout show just a little bit different. To start
with, every match will be given 5 min. to prove their talents in the
ring. If the match does well, then they will make it to the 5 min.
mark. If the fans decide that the match needs to end before it's 5 min.
are up, the bell will ring and the match will end immediately. To makes
this a little bit more interesting, after the 5 min. are up, there will
be three judges from the IWA Mid South locker room to give their
thoughts on the match. A fourth judge will also be asked their opinion,
but the fourth judge will be a member of our audience. They will get
the chance to be heard on what they liked or disliked and if they
thought the fans enjoyed the match.
Email Mickie at
mickieknuckles@... with your phone number & name so you can get
put on the list for the next tryout show.
IWA Mid-South
fans...this is your opportunity to voice your opinion on who you
believe deserves a chance to be in IWA Mid-South. Your response whether
positive or negative will determine who is asked back and who will have
to come back and try again on another future tryout show.
There
will also be a seminar the following afternoon for the tryout
performers to get some extra training and advice from Ian Rotten,
Mickie Knuckles & other full time IWA Mid-South wrestlers that will
be in attendance.
Again, contact Mickie at mickieknuckles@... with your phone number & name to
be given a chance of a lifetime!

The Night The Lights Went Out In Bellevue
Saturday July 25, 2009
The Bellevue Plaza
325 Bellevue Avenue
Bellevue, IL
8 pm Belltime
Tickets: $15 & $10
Matches so far....
No Rope Barbed Wire/ Electrified Light Bulb Match
IWA Heavyweight Champion: DINGO vs. Ian Rotten
This
feud has heated up in recent weeks. It started off innocent enough with
Dingo siding with Jim Fannin when Fannin told him that Ian was making a
mockery out of his title reign by continuously giving Jimmy Jacobs
& Drake Younger repeated title shots and letting Jaysin Strife
wrestle as The Yellow Dog after Dingo defeated him in an Loser Leaves
IWA match. Ian swears that he doesn't know who the Yellow Dog is. It
started a series of matches that Dingo decided to turn into brawls and
go right after Ian. After winning a "straight" wrestling match and then
winning a Texas Death Match rematch when Fannin used ether to knock out
Ian...the stage is set for the next encounter. Can Dingo continue
walking the high wire now that he has succeeded in becoming the longest
reigning IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Champion in history or will he
rest on his laurels and allow Ian Rotten to regain the heavyweight
title for the first time in almost 9 years?
IWA Mid-South World Lightheavyweight Title TLC Match
Jason Hades vs. Ryan Phoenix
Ryan
Phoenix had a light heavyweight title shot lined up earlier this year
against Jason Hades but Hades lost the title to Dingo before the match
happened and Ryan Phoenix had to wait 7 months to get another chance at
the title and Jason Hades. That came this past weekend in Bellevue at
Battle of the Future Stars 2. Phoenix asked Hades to make the
tournament matchup a title match since he never got that shot he was
promised back in January. Hades, being the fighting champion that he
is, agreed. The match ended in controversy though as a German Suplex
resulted in a double pin. The night was just beginning though as they
ended up having to team together in the next round. The tag team was
doomed from the start due to bickering and one upsmanship that
developed. They lost and then the fighting really started. A long
pullapart ensued where no one could keep the two apart long enough to
stop it until this match was made. Even that didn't keep the peace
though as another brawl broke out in the 8 man tag lethal lottery
match. They fought before the match and left the building, came back
in, left again...fighting the whole time. This TLC match might not even
be enough to stop this war as Ryan Phoenix desperately tries to make a
giant splash on the independent scene by becoming the IWA Mid-South
World Lightheavyweight Champion.
Strong Style Showdown
"The New Horror" Sami Callihan vs. Keith Walker
Keith
Walker has put Michael Elgin out of action with a neck injury after
several choke bombs over the course of several attacks. Walker was not
happy that he lost a 4 way dance to Michael Elgin with an entry into
the 2009 TPI hanging in the balance and the first vicious attack
followed. Elgin & Walker have crossed paths a few times since then
but Walker always ends up leaving Elgin laying in the wake of choke
bombs. Sami Callihan is Elgin's partner in the Grits N Gravy team so it
would appear that he is coming to the aid of his partner by stepping
into the ring with Walker and trying for revenge. However, the Grits N
Gravy team have not been on the best of terms of late in IWA and there
seems to be a rivalry developing between Sami & Elgin on who is the
weaker link of the team. Is Sami trying to help his partner or is Sami
trying to prove that he is better than Elgin by beating Walker AND
walking away healthy?
The Reunion Of The WSX Tag Team "The Trailer Park Boyz"
Nate Webb & Josh Raymond vs. The Hooligans
Plus many more to come in the following days!

11. Tyler Black def. Prince Mustafa Ali
12. Ricochet def. Jon Moxley to win Battle of Future Stars 2 & earn TPI berth
next 3 years
Here is a bit more information on what happened between Jason Hades & Ryan
Phoenix over the course of the night:
Phoenix asked Hades to put the IWA Lt. Heavyweight Title on the line in the
singles match. A German Suplex caused a double pin.
Hades
& Phoenix were not happy that they were a team against
Ricochet/Shane Hollister. They did not get along well at all and
constantly argued, hard tagged, tried to one up each other. That
resulted in Ricochet running Phoenix into Hades, knocking Hades to the
floor while he rolled up Phoenix for the pin.
All hell broke
loose after that. A huge pull apart erupted between Hades & Phoenix
and no one could keep them apart. Finally, Ian ordered Phoenix to the
dressing room and everyone thought it was over but Phoenix sneaked out
of the dressing room and around the side and the fight was back on.
Probably 10 minutes at least before order was restored and they were
kept apart long enough for an agreement to be made.
July 25th in
Bellevue - IWA Mid-South World Light Heavyweight Title Match - Tables,
Ladders & Chairs - Jason Hades vs. Ryan Phoenix.
But that
didn't stop the fighting for the rest of the night. As soon as Phoenix
was pulled out of the hat for the 8 man tag lethal lottery match, the
fight started right back up because Hades was already in the ring. They
started fighting on the floor before the match even started and went
thru the curtain, out the back door and disappeared into the Bellevue
night. Everyone let them go at it and focused on the drawing the rest
of the teams and going into the match.
Halfway thru the match,
Hades & Phoenix came fighting thru the front door, got into the
ring for a couple of seconds, back out to the floor, thru the curtain
and back out into the Bellevue night never to be seen again during the
show.
They might be halfway to Des Moines by now for all I know.
What I do know is that they are going to beat the sh*t out of each other on the
25th.

*Ego Fantastico pinned xOMGx
*Keith Walker beat Mike Elgin by KO in a last man standing match

*IWA-MS Heavyweight Champ Dingo pinned Yellow Dog
*IWA-MS Light Heavyweight Champ Jimmy Jacobs beat Jason Hades by submission
*******************************
Here are detailed results from our "Cold Day In May" show in Joliet, IL on May
23...thanks Kevin:
Ian addressed the reasons that TPI was moved to Sept,
one of which was Hero being in Japan that weekend (6/5 &6/6). all
that are announced will be at the tournament barring a Japanese tour
(unlikely). Quack was invited and declined stating that he will be
involved with DGUSA (it has already been announced that Chikara and
DGUSA have a working relationship). Ian stated that no Japanese
wrestlers will be in the TPI just because DGUSA will be in town that
week, "Gabe and i aren't friends" said Ian, so it looks like there will
be no working relationship between IWA-MS and DGUSA (or any other
company that Gabe works for).
here are the 14 announced names for the rescheduled TPI on September 4 & 5:
Delirious
Davey Richards
Roderick Strong
Tyler Black
Human Tornado
B-Boy (who now lives in Philly)
Jason Hades
Chris Hero
Jimmy Jacobs
Carter Grey
The Necro Butcher
Shane Hollister
Drake Younger
Dingo
Kenny Omega has been sent an invitation, as has Claudio Castagnoli, there
answers have not yet been received.
I
had to clarify this with Ian after the show, the IWA-MS World
Heavyweight Championship will be defended thought the TPI, whether
Dingo still holds the belt or not. Dingo has the spot in the TPI, not
the Championship.
Ian announced that Atsushi Sawada is a top
student of the Inoki group in Japan and is a submission and judo
specialist, it will be interesting to watch him compete against Josh
Raymond (who is an accomplished amateur wrestler), and Michael Elgin
(who is also an accomplished amateur wrestler) on the 5th and 6th
respectively.
Shortly after this Jim Fannin got on the mic and
proceeded to tell Ian that he will pay for stealing "his" belt last
night in Bellevue. Jim Fannin also made an announcement that there is a
$1000 bounty on the mask of The Yellow Dog.
Juice Robinson
pinned Jeff "the Hook" Brooks with a roll up. Jeff broke his right
forearm in this match and was back at the building before the show was
over. He may have to have surgery on his arm to repair the broken bone.
heres to hoping for a speedy recovery.
Jason Hades & V Squad (Sal Thomaselli & Ash) beat The Hooligans (Mason, Devin, &
Neil Diamond Cutter)
Mason
and Devin seemed to throw Neil to the wolves whenever they could in
this match, tagging him in when he did not expect it. Like Sharks that
smell blood in the water, The Hooligans went to work on Sal's heavily
bandaged arm again for the second night in a row, but it didn't take
long for this match to break down into an all out brawl with wrestlers
fighting all over the arena. Neil hit a Diamond Cutter on Hades for a 2
count, Ash was thrown out of the ring, Sal was put into a cross arm
breaker and was about to tap until Hades made the save, Hades was then
tossed from the ring and Sal was put into a Fugiwara arm bar, Ash was
in time to save Sal from tapping out, but was not able to avoid getting
hit with a Diamond Cutter. This gave Hades an opportunity that he
jumped on and was able to give Neil the Killswitch for the pinfall
victory. The Hooligans were not done with Sal yet, the proceeded to
attack Sal's arm after the match was over, Hades and Ash had to run the
Hooligans off with the help from a few chairs. this was a good match
and set a fun tone for the rest of the show.
The Yellow Dog came
to the ring with his amputated tail, a bandaged rear end, and the pair
of scissors that Jim Fannin used to remove his tail last night. Donny
Peppercricket came to the ring and attempted to collect the bounty on
the Yellow Dogs mask, after shoving his amputated tail in Donny's
mouth, Dog his a top rope DDT for the pinfall win.
The American
Nightmare then made his way to the ring to take his turn at collecting
on the $1000 bounty. TAN went for a splash into the corner, but the Dog
was able to move out of the way and roll TAN up for the pinfall victory.
Kid
Hybrid then made his way to the ring to take his shot. while jawing
with Foxtrot (who called him Kid Inbred) Dog quickly schoolboy'd him
for the 1,2,3.
Yellow Dog then went after Fannin, scissors in
hand, stalking him all about the venue, Fannin lead Dog near the stage
when Ethan Page was waiting for Dog, Ethan was relentless striking Dog
with a chair. these 2 make their way to the ring and Page is very
interested in the mask, not the win. this was his undoing as a slip up
by page allowed the Dog to hit the top rope DDT for the victory. Jim
Fannin told The Yellow Dog that "this isn't over".
Prince
Mustafa Ali pinned xOMGx after hitting the WMD. on his way out of the
arena, Ali decided that xOMGx, (a US Marine) had not suffered enough,
and returned to the ring and placed the Luchadork in the dreaded Camel
Clutch. Drake Younger comes to aid his friend. Drake stayed in the ring
as xOMGx was carried off to the locker room (xOMGx may have injured his
ankle in this match)which was fine because the next match was.....
Drake Younger vs. Mike Elgin
Heavy
hitting and back and fourth strong style action in this one, Elgin
punished Drake's back throughout most of the match. When Drake had the
chance to get Elgin in the Drake's Landing, his back gave and he ended
up just dropping the big Canadian. Knowing he could not use his
finisher on Elgin, Drake decided to go a different rout, he used a rear
naked choke to force Elgin to tap out. As soon as the bell rings, Ali
is in the ring attacking Drake. Ali hits Drake with the WMD. one has to
wonder here...why would Ali only attack Drake? Ali helped Walker defeat
Elgin last night, why leave him be tonight? Drake Wants Ali next time.
Drake and Elgin shake hands
Int.
Colt Cabana pinned Marshe Rockett w/ C-Red & Dymond
This
match was filled with all the things we have missed about watching Colt
Cabana wrestle. For starters Colt kept interrupting the Soul Touchaz
prematch ritual, because he wanted to feel welcome and "in" with Red
and Marshe. It didn't go that way, Red and Marshe looked very annoyed
that Colt kept interrupting. Match is underway and next thing i know a
dance off breaks out, Red decides to get in the ring to help Marshe. At
that point both Red and Marshe give Colt the "YOU" point and shout,
Colt says "me?" "YOU", "ref?" "YOU" "camera man?" "YOU", "ok i get it".
As Marshe attends to Red leaving the ring Colt attacks him, giving him
the upper hand, for the moment. Lots of back and fourth action in this
one, including Colt giving his "Flying asshole" splash to Marshe. when
Marshe had control, he went up for that pretty swanton, Colt brought
his knees up, allowing him to easily give Marshe the Colt45 for the
pinfall victory. Handshakes after the match. Colt gets the Mic ans
tells Ian that, even though he hasn't been around for 2 years, now hes
back, and there is some new talent in IWA-MS, "this guys got talent"
toward Marshe. Ian gets the mic and mirrors what Colt said. and Gives
Marshe an invitation to The 2009 TPI! Marshe accepts.
Jimmy Jacobs makes Egotistico Fantastico tap to the End Time, retaining the
IWA-MS World Light Heavyweight Championship
Jimmy
was very disrespectful toward Ego during this match, at one point
putting on Ego's cape to hit a top rope splash. Ego went for the top
rope moonsault and missed, Jimmy pounced at the opportunity to lock on
the End Time, Ego had no choice but to tap.
Shane Hollister pinned Al Snow
Dingo w/ Jim Fannin pinned Ian Rotten to retain the IWA-MS world Heavyweight
Championship
Ian
tells Dingo 'you have 2 choices here, we can wrestle or we can fight'
Dingo laughs at both options. Lots of wrestling and brawling all over
the building in this one. As Ian gives Dingo the Rotten Rush, Jim
Fannin is up on the apron, ready to interfere. Jimmy Jacobs rushes to
the ring to help but his help goes wrong and Dingo rolls up Ian with a
hand full of gear. Jimmy is sorry for the blunder, Ian questions Jimmy,
'whats going on? cus if it is, what it looks like is going on, then
there is a problem'. Jimmy apologizes again and that gives Ian more
doubt. "look me in the eye and say your sorry". Jimmy's response is,
"you aren't my daddy, you cant tell me what to do". Finally after
prodding Jimmy exclaims "I'M SORRY IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!"
"Accidents don't happen twice Jimmy"
this show had a really fun feel to it

As the title reads, somebody already let the cat out of
the bag before we could announce this the way we wanted to (with a
revised lineup), we are moving the TPI this year to September 4th and
5th. With so many guys not being able to make it to this years tourney,
we decided to post-pone the event until we could have the very best in
indy wrestling.
As you know, Dragon gate is also running
Chicago that weekend on the 6th. This way, fans can come in and enjoy
TPI and Dragon Gate as well.
We are currently working on a revised lineup and will have a FULL lineup
announced this Saturday in Joliet.
For those of you that have purchased tickets......
We
will still be running June 5th and 6th in Joliet. We plan on still
having a big show (just not TPI status). If you cannot attend the
rescheduled date for TPI, then you can still use your tickets and
receive the money back (exp: for both nights, tickets will be only $25
each. We will give you the remainder back in a credit or refund.) If
you would like to keep you're already purchased TPI tickets and use
them for the rescheduled date in September, then please let us know via
email at rottenwife@.... If you can not attend TPI and wish not to
attend June 5th and 6th, then a credit or refund will be offered to you.
We
hope you see why we had to change the date and reassure you that it
will make the tournament better as a whole. We believe what we have for
June 5th and 6th will be outstanding.

IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Title Match
Dingo vs. B-Boy
Dingo
continues his quest to become the most successful IWA Mid-South World
Heavyweight Champion in history based on longevity and top quality list
of contenders defeated. He wants to step up to the plate and take out
the Real MuthaF'n G in IWA, B-Boy. B-Boy would like nothing better than
to go into the 4 way in Joliet the next night as the new IWA Mid-South
World Heavyweight Champion. Will Dingo continue his quest or will B-Boy
dropkick the champion's dreams straight in the face?
Elimination Tag Match - After this match these 4 will not be allowed to wrestle
each other in any combination for 60 Days
Trik Davis/Prince Mustafa Ali vs. Egotistico Fantastico/Jason Hades
The
fight between Trik & Ali against Ego has been raging since the
start of the new year. It was Trik & Ali that stole Ego's mask and
burned him with a fireball. Ali and Hades have had their problems in
the past as well especially when Hades was still the IWA Mid-South
World Light Heavyweight Champion. This will be these 4 men's
opportunity to win the war and have bragging rights through the summer
without the losers having any chance at redemption or revenge. This
will be the last time for 60 days that these 4 can combat each other so
they will be pulling out all the stops as Ego goes for revenge on the
men that robbed him and burnt him.
The Return of an former IWA favorite
"Sweet N Sour" Larry Sweeney vs. The Yellow Dog
What
really needs to be said about this match? Well don't expect the feel
good comedy of the year because Larry Sweeney has an axe to grind and
something to prove and he plans on returning to IWA Mid-South with a
bang.
The Hooligans vs. The Hybrids
Ricochet vs. Shane Hollister
Jon Moxley vs. DJ Hyde
Just added:
Dysfunction vs. Sami Callihan
More to be added to this event.

IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Title Match?
Dingo vs. "Sweet N Sour" Larry Sweeney
If
Dingo retains the title by defeating B-Boy at STB 9 the night before,
he will defend the title against former ROH star Larry Sweeney. Sweeney
wants to be taken seriously and show everyone that he is not just about
the laughs anymore and what better way to prove that than to become the
IWA champion and end the quest of Dingo to prove himself to be the best?
4 Way Strong Style Dance
Eddie Kingston vs. B-Boy vs. Drake Younger vs. Sami Callihan
These
four are undoubtedly among the four toughest hardest hitting men on the
IWA Mid-South roster and in all of independent wrestling. This is going
to be more than a battle for momentum heading into TPI. This is going
to be more than a battle for positioning for a world title shot. This
is going to be a battle for pride and bragging rights and if B-Boy
defeats Dingo the night before, it could be the IWA title. Eddie
Kingston never lost the IWA heavyweight title in a match and this is
his chance to show that he is better than the other three and that he
is the uncrowned IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Champion. The other
three have the opportunity to prove their superiority and knock the
former champion down a peg or two in everyone's eyes including his own.
Ego's Spot in TPI if he loses/Ego picks his poison if he wins vs. Ricochet being
banned from TPI for 3 years
Egotistico Fantastico vs. Ricochet
These
two had an unbelievable match at April Bloodshowers Part 2 and now a
rematch has been signed. However, the ante has been upped in this
matchup to make things a little more interesting. Egotistico Fantastico
is fighting for his spot in the Ted Petty Invitational which is very
important to him and if Ego wins, he gets to pick his poison and choose
his first round opponent in TPI, potentially giving himself an easier
road towards the finals. Ricochet is fighting for his TPI life for the
next 3 years. If Ricochet loses a second time to Ego, he will not be
able to be a competitor in the TPI for the next three years so it
definitely adds extra desperation to Ricochet. He has never held gold
in IWA Mid-South so this definitely his biggest match to date and it
could catapult him on to a title shot for the IWA Mid-South World Light
Heavyweight title if he can get this victory and do well in the 2009
TPI. This will be a night where one man's dreams will come true and
another man's will shatter.
Winner Gets A Spot in the 2009 TPI
Ryan Phoenix vs. Juice Robinson
These
two young stars have quite the rivalry going in IWA. It started off
with 2 time limit draws but then Ryan Phoenix was able to get the
victory in his hometown of Bellevue. Juice rebounded by gaining a
victory a little closer to his hometown in Joliet the following night.
This is without a doubt the biggest opportunity for both of these young
men and they will pull out all the stops in order to get that spot in
TPI and have a huge stage to show the independent wrestling world what
they are made of.
Jason Hades vs. Mike Sydal
This is the
IWA Mid-South debut of Matt Sydal's (Evan Bourne's) little brother.
Matt Sydal learned a lot and put himself onto the wrestling map during
his time in IWA Mid-South and he told his younger brother that now is
the time to follow that career path and make that name for himself by
coming to IWA Mid-South. He has his hands full though as his first time
out comes against a former IWA Mid-South World Light Heavyweight
Champion and one of the top competitors in IWA right now. Will this be
the beginning of another huge rising star or will Hades refuse to be a
stepping stone and show the youngster a thing or two?

Here are the results from March Massacre 2009 in Bellevue, IL on March 20th:
1. Ryan Phoenix vs. Juice Robinson went to a 15 minute
draw. This was a return match from the last Bellevue show where they
went to a 10 minute draw. That match ended with no one having a clear
upper hand. Tonight, the same couldn't be said. The crowd was solidly
behind the hometown hero Phoenix and he was seconds away from earning a
submission victory. Phoenix worked over the back most of the match and
had a Texas Cloverleaf applied for the final 90 seconds of the match
and Juice was ready to tap as time expired. A rematch has been signed
for April 3rd with no time limit and no dq so there will finally be a
winner between these two.
2. Josh Raymond def. Hunter Matthews with a top rope lung blower.
3. Jason Hades def. Shane Hollister with a Killswitch
4. Yellow Dog def. Jeff Brooks with a rollup
5.
The Hooligans def. Bad Breed in the extreme rules tag match. Several
leather belts were around the ring for the teams to whip each other
with and the action was all over the place. The Hooligans have been a
thorn in Ian Rotten's side for several shows now and they definitely
held the upper hand tonight. They took one of the belts and wrapped it
around Ian's neck and tied it around the ringpost choking him and
trapping him on the floor. The two Hooligans then doubleteamed Axl
until they choked him out with a belt around the neck. After the match,
The Hooligans tried to inflict even more damage but Ian was able to
work free and protect Axl from further harm. A rematch has been signed
for the return to Bellevue with Barbed Wire I Quit rules between these
two teams.
6. Michael Elgin def. Jon Moxley with a Canadian
Crossface. Very good back and forth action that saw Moxley working over
Elgin's shoulder after Elgin went for a spear but hit the post after
Moxley moved. Elgin fought the second half of the match with limited
use of his left arm but was able to fight back for the victory.
7.
Prince Mustafa Ali def. Mickie Knuckles with Weapons of Mass
Destruction. Ali came out dragging the American flag and got into the
ring and tried to burn it. Mickie came to the ring and the match was
on. They brawled to the floor and Ali ran Mickie back first into the
ringpost and viciously worked over her back the rest of the match.
After hitting the WMD, Ali thought about trying to burn the flag again
but instead draped it over the prone Mickie Knuckles and left the ring.
Ian came to ringside a few moments later and called out Ali and told
him that he would have to answer to Corporal Robinson on April 3rd for
attempting to burn the American flag.
8. Tracy Smothers def.
Joey Grunge. Grunge was very popular with the kids in Bellevue when he
came out and he put up a good fight against Tracy until the cagey
veteran used some underhanded tactics to pull off the victory.
9.
Dingo def. Masada to retain the IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Title.
Masada and Dingo were both bloodied by the end of this one that had the
crowd chanting "this is awesome" on several occassions. Dingo took the
fight right at the KOTDM and even brought a chair into the ring as a
weapon and used it to bloody Masada. Masada was able to go move for
move with the champ and frustrate him. Masada took control of the match
and appeared to be well on his way to winning the title including
sticking several of the skewers into Dingo's head. Dingo fought back
and used the skewers against Masada and connected with an Oklahoma Roll
for the pin.
10. Mad Man Pondo def. Elkview Adam in a barbed
wire bat match. Both men started on the floor on opposite corners and
at the ref's 10 count ran to the ring to get the bat. Adam won the foot
race but Pondo grabbed his stop sign on the way into the ring and hit
Adam with the stop sign before Adam could use the bat. They brawled
around the building and Pondo dumped Adam into a trash can with a
bodyslam. He then stood Adam up with the trash can still on his head
and all kinds of garbage sludge (left over drink, nacho cheese and
various other liquids from the trash came rushing down Adam and onto
the floor. Pondo gets the win with a powerslam onto the barbed wire bat.
11.
Danny Havoc def. Devon Moore in a Light Tubes, Ladder & Barbed Wire
Ladder Match. Havoc gets revenge from the finals of the 2008 KOTDM in
this one after he gains the victory with a Dragon suplex with a light
tube behind Devon's head into a ladder bridged thru the ropes in a
corner. Lots of violent action in this one including Havoc getting sent
thru a ladder bridge on the floor and then Devon doing a plancha into a
splash across the ladder bridge on the floor from the ring.
So
a reminder...we return to Bellevue on Friday night April 3 with April
Bloodshowers Pt. 1 and we already have Hooligans vs. Bad Breed - I Quit
Barbed Wire Match; Prince Mustafa Ali vs. Corporal Robinson & Ryan
Phoenix vs. Juice Robinson - No Time Limit No DQ signed for that event.

Results from Night One of the 2009 King of the Death Matches:
Juice Robinson def. EZE following a cross body off the top. Very good showing
from Juice Robinson in this one. Crowd doesn't want EZE to come back so that is
self explanitory.
Details will be sparse due me running sound and Jim doing commentary.
Jimmy Jacobs de. Ego Fantastico following The Endtime. Back and forth action all
the way through. Ego Missed a moonsault and Jacobs locked him in The Endtime.
Following the match, Ian invited Ego to the TPI.
First tourny matchup under way.
xOMGx def. Devon Moore Barbwire Tables and Ladders with Carribean Spiderwebs.
Danny
Havoc def Elkview Adam in A Barefoot Shit You Don't Want To Step On

Anniversary also in Joliet.
Dysfunction def. Viper in a Babwire Canvas and Lightbulbs match following a
double stomp super kick combo.
Mad Man Pondo def. Nate Webb in a Bed of Nails and Anything With Nails On Them
Match. This match was disgusting. Watching them using that bed of nails is sick.
Afterwards Ian thanked Nate Webb and invited him to the 2009 TPI.
During
Ian's speech, DJ Hyde comes out and demands the microphone. DJ goes on
a tirade against the fans and calls all of them and the juggalos
pussies and this brings a fuming Corporal Robinson out to start off
this Thumbtack Madness match.
Corporal Robinson def. DJ Hyde following The Bootcamp.
Masada
def. Tank in a Barbwire Board Taipei Deathmatch by putting some sharp
pointy objects in Tank's head and hitting him with a chair. Absolute slugfest.
*Intermission*
The ring crew has taken down the ropes and is now putting chains up instead of
ropes.
This
is a Deep Six Deathmatch. There are chains and barbwire on two sides of
the ring with fish hooks on them with the other two sides no rope
barbwire.
Thumbtack Jack vs Nick Gage.
Thumbtack jack did a dive through the wire and part of his hair is hanging off
of the wire.
Thumbtack Jack def Nick Gage following Drake's landing. Match of the fucking
year.
Necro Butcher def. Bull Pain in a No Rope Barbwire Carribean Spiderweb Glass
match.
Bull slammed Necro into the spiderweb and Necro started to choke him
out. Bull Pain could not answer the refs three count and the match was
over. Afterwards Bull Pain ddt'ed Ref Junkyard Jones.

Dysfunction def. xOMGx in a Homerun Derby match.
Thumbtack

Gigantic Fans Bring The Weapons, 30 Min Iron Man match.
Jimmy
Jacobs def Carter Gray to win the IWA World Lightheavyweight Title
following Jim Fannin and Bull Pain's interference backfired.
Following
the match Jim Fannin attacked Jacobs with the belt stating that if he
wants the belt he has to go through Jim Fannin to get it. He also added
that he did this attack all by himself.
Necro Butcher def. Danny Havoc in a Home Improvment Deathmatch following a slam
off the top through a pane of glass
Started off slow with chain wrestling then turned into a heated brawl
all over the Hartman Center. This match Necro go through a door and
Necro delivering a forearm as Havoc jumped over the top.
Masada def. Corp. Robinson in a Flaming Cinder Blocks and Hot Coals match.
Corporal Robinson did two tributes to fallen family member Rollin Hard
by giving The West Side Slam into the flaming cinder blocks and also
delivering the Flaming Karate Chop. Masada won by powerbombing Corporal
Robinson a powerbomb into the coals and making him submit to a Boston
Crab.
After the match, Corp thanked Ian Rotten and the IWA Fans
for all the memories these past few years. He said that if he had to go
out anywhere it would be in front of the IWA fans. Ian took the mic and
thanked Corp for everything he's and also stating there was a reason
that they were the only two to win KOTDM twice. Ian also said that
Rollin was looking down with a smile on his face.
Nick
Gage and Devon Moore won a 7 team royal rumble match to face Dingo for
the World Title following the match due to Eddie Kingston not being
able to make it.

powerbomb, Dingo threw Gage out of the ring and hit a moonsault to win.
*Intermission*
We
are underway with the finals. We have everything you could think of in
those two rings. A scaffold, No rope barbwire, electrified lightbulbs,
barbwire boards, endless amounts of lighttubes, fans weapons, and these
4 men, Necro Butcher, Masada, Thumbtack Jack, and Dysfunction will
battle for 30 mins in Iron man rules.
There has been a tie. Necro and Masada both have 2 points apiece. Jack and Dys
are eliminated. Sudden death overtime.
YOUR WINNER AND 2009 KING OF THE DEATHMATCHES MASADA!!
Necro and Masada went punch for punch until Masada was able to back suplex Necro
into a rollup.
Ian
thanked all 4 men for doing what they do. Ian said anytime Masada wants
to come back he will be glad to have him because Masada is the fucking
man.

Extreme Tag Team Warfare Grudge Match
The Bad Breed vs. The Hooligans (Mason & Devin Cutter)
One
has to hand it to the Hooligans. They came into IWA Mid-South with the
intentions of turning some heads and making a huge impression. They
succeeded with their mission because they went right after Ian
Rotten...start with the big dog if you will. The war between Ian and
The Hooligans has been fierce and has seen broken noses and dislocated
shoulders so far. It has even seen Rain and Mickie Knuckles get
involved. However, Ian knows that there is one person that he can
always count on when the times are tough and he needs a partner...his
bigger brother AXL!!!! The Bad Breed won the battle last time in
Bellevue but the war wasn't over as The Hooligans attacked after the
match was over and duct taped Axl to the ropes and made him watch on
helplessly as they brutalized Ian with their belt buckle like it was
brass knuckles. The rematch is set and no one knows for sure whether
the town of Bellevue is ready for the carnage and the mayhem that is
coming its way on March 20th!!!!
Also scheduled to appear for the show already:
Thumbtack Jack & Mad Man Pondo

Ian started the show by announcing the first round matchups for 2009
KOTDM.
Corporal Robinson vs. DJ Hyde
Mad Man Pondo vs. SeXXXy
Eddy
"Mr. Insanity" Toby Klein vs. Dysfunction
Thumbtack Jack vs. Nick
Gage
Elkview Adam vs. Danny Havoc
Devon Moore vs. xOMGx
Tank vs.
Masada
Necro vs. Green Phantom
Plus, Night One - Jimmy Jacobs vs.
Egotistico Fantastico...winner gets a light heavyweight title shot on night
two
Jim Fannin then walked out to the commentary table and Ian asked him
if he was going to make his announcement already. Jim Fannin said that Ian
couldn't tell him what to do and that he would do it whenever he damn well felt
like doing it. The show began.
1. Keith Walker def.
Juice Robinson
Keith Walker destroyed Juice in this one. Juice
showed a lot of fight but was just overpowered. Walker picked him up for a
chokeslam and dropped Juice across his knee with a backbreaker out of it. Juice
actually dropped the big man with a crossbody off the top but that only made him
angry. Walker took his head off with a lariat hit the Cut throat suplex and the
Walker Driver for the pin. Jason Dukes immediately came out and laughed and
mocked Juice as Juice was being taken to the back...which led to:
2. Greg Excellent def. Jason Dukes
Excellent
started the match by giving Jason Dukes 3 titty twisters and then tossing Dukes
over the top rope by using two hands full of Duke's boobs. Dukes got back into
the ring first and as Excellent delayed returning to the ring to shake hands and
mingle with the crowd, Dukes took over and started working over the neck.
Excellent fought back and gains the win with a sit out pedigree.
3. Michael Elgin def. Devon Moore
This one
started out with a brawl on the floor that saw Devon use a chair on the stage as
a launching pad into Elgin on the floor. They fought towards the ring and Devon
went for a rana but Elgin caught him and ran him powerbomb style into the
ringpost to take control. It turned into a back and forth fight with Elgin using
size and strength while Devon used plunder, speed and quickness to even the
odds. Elgin eventually regained the upper hand with a straight jacket
brainbuster and then a vicious looking jumping tombstone piledriver. He then
clamped on a Canadian Crossface for the submission victory
4. Yellow Dog def. Ash
Yellow Dog was looking for
revenge after Ash pinned him last night by rolling him up with a handful of tail
for leverage. This time the Yellow Dog came out on top with a dive off the top
rope into a DDT on the landing.
5. Rain & The
Hooligans def. Mickie Knuckles & The Bad Breed
This one
started off as a traditional tag style match but quickly got chippy when Ian
snapped on one of the Hooligans and the results was probably a broken nose for
Mason Cutter by the looks of it. The Hooligans got revenge by injuring Ian in
return with what appeared to be a shoulder or forearm injury/dislocation. Ian
and Axl had use the ringpost and tug of war to try to put things back into place
during the match. Bad Breed & Hooligans fight on the floor and all over the
building while Rain and Mickie duke it out in the ring. Rain gets the pin on
Mickie during the melee to win the match.
Jim Fannin then feels the time
is right following the match where Ian is injured to make his announcement. He
comes ringside and tells Axl & Mickie to take a hike because this is between
him and Ian. Ian assures Mickie and Axl that even with an injured arm he isn't
scared of Fannin so they leave. Fannin then nearly dies of a stroke four
different times ranting about his hatred for Jimmy Jacobs and how the Ian Rotten
that he believed in and trusted and befriended over 10 years ago has been
replaced by a soft, injury prone, pushover that lets people like Axl, Trik Davis
and Jimmy Jacobs make him look like a buffoon with all the chances they are
given. Ian takes the mic and reminds Jim that it is that version of Ian Rotten
that has also forgiven Jim for all the fans that he has cost IWA over the years
and for all the wrestlers that refuse to work for IWA because of Jim. Ian then
tells Jim to get on with his announcement that has been eating at him for so
long.
Jim Fannin then says that he knows about Ian's phone to D anny
Daniels to bury the hatchet. Ian laughs and says "it's that what this is all
about" but stops laughing when a 5 shades of red in the face, swearing, stark
raving lunatic Fannin decks him with a right hand. Fannin realizes what he did
and with his arm shaking in a nervous wreck, he backs out of the ring and back
up to the commentary table.
Ian says that it is the last time that Fannin
will put his hands on him and not get destroyed in return and hopefully since he
had his blow up that he'd get over it. Ian says that for the betterment of the
Chicago wrestling scene, the war needs to be over. Using Jimmy, Trik etc adds to
the talent on the IWA shows making it better. Not running shows against each
other would make things better on the fans because they wouldn't have to choose
one over the other.
He then tells Fannin that if he wants Jimmy Jacobs
out of IWA so damn bad, to be a man about it and deck Jimmy like he had just
done to him. Fight Jimmy...man to man...one on one...Put Up or Shut Up. The
crowd then chanted "Fight Jimmy" but it didn't appear that Fannin was too
willing to do that any time soon.
6. Da Soul Touchaz
won a 7 team gauntlet Pick Your Poison Match
The Starting
Lineup (Kareem Abdul Jamar & Chris Mayne) def. The Contract Killers (Anthony
Henry & Dustin Knight) in a good opening leg of the gauntlet. Mayne was
doubleteamed badly throughout the match and finally tagged to Kareem who used a
strong chest pass of his basketball to knock Henry from the ring and rollup
Knight for the pin.
Old Timer Jeff King & Frankie the Face def.
Starting Lineup. This was a very quick match as King & Face hit the ring
quickly and started roughing up the rookies. Kareem went for the chest pass with
the basketball again but Old Timer caught it and returned it after Kareem turned
around and drilled him right in the back. King then clamped on the bearhug and
squeezed the life out of Kareem for the victory.
Popular Electronics
(Hype Shalwin & Gameboy) def. Old Timer & Frankie the Face after Hype
blocks the bearhug and they hit the Beer-O-Matic for the pin.
Da Soul
Touchaz (Trauma & Marshe Rockett) def. Popular Electronics after Trauma did
a fallaway slam on Gameboy and Marshe rolled up Shalwin.
Da Soul Touchaz
def. Michigan Militia (Brooks & Skyline). Militia control the match by
cutting the ring and half and doubleteaming Trauma throughout since he doesn't
have the endurance of Marshe. Trauma finally makes the tag and Marshe gets the
win with a Top Rope Centon.
Da Soul Touchaz def. Chris Havius &
Stephen Saint to win the Pick Your Poison Gauntlet Match when Trauma delivers a
huge spear.
7. Bill the Butcher def.
Dysfunction
Kimberly Kash has amazing powers to control Bill
the Butcher. The normally wildman came to the ring with a black hood covering
his face and a chain leash around his neck. Bill stayed calm until the bell rang
and Kimberly removed the hood. Butcher then went crazy and Dysfunction was
scrambling and fighting. Butcher stunned everyone when Dysfunction went to the
top rope for a splash and Bill the Butcher charged the corner, ran up the
turnbuckles, grabbed Dysfunction and delivered a powerslam off the top rope for
the pinfall. Kimberly immediately put the hood back over Butcher's head to get
him under control and take him to the back.
8. B-Boy
def. Sami Callihan
This match was as hard hitting of a match
as there has ever been in IWA. I think Sami was almost knocked out on a couple
of different occassions as one time B-Boy blocked an attempted double leg
takedown with a horrific knee to the side of the head that dropped Sami. They
did a barroom brawl of forearms and headbutts on the floor. B-Boy followed that
up with a running jumping knee into Sami's face and teeth and jaw that dropped
Sami on the floor. B-Boy had to try to lift Sami's dead weight into the ring and
then pull him away from the ropes but Sami recovered enough in that time to kick
out at two. Sami made a comeback with a couple of devastating lariats and a Koji
Clutch. He was going for a German suplex or something when B-Boy delivered a
hellacious back elbow and then attacked with a rear naked choke for the
victory.
After the match, Ian gave B-Boy an invitation into the 2009
TPI
9. Trik Davis def. Egotistico Fantastico -
Pinfalls Count Anywhere
The hatred in this match was
undeniable. The fight went all over the building and Chuckie Smooth kept
interfering. Ego drilled Chuckie and then picked up Trik for an over the
shoulder running powerslam on the floor. Instead, everyone in the front row
folded up their chairs and held them up and Ego ran Trik's head into every chair
all the way around the ring. The crowd chanted one more time and Ego obliged,
this time running Chuckie into all the chairs the same way. Ego set up Trik for
his 40 yard dash on the floor dive onto the opponent while he is sitting in a
chair but Chuckie interfered and kept it from happening. Ego went for it a
second time later but this time enlisted help. IWA board's own Scar and Roy D
Rage each grabbed on arm of Trik's and made sure he was going no where. Another
fan was then placed in a chair in front of the chair that Trik was in to give
Ego someone to jump over. Ego drilled the splash onto Trik and the crowd loved
it...especially Scar and Roy! The fight went up onto the stage at the commentary
table. Ego set up a pyramid of 8 chairs on the floor and was ready to powerbomb
Trik onto the pyramid. Chuckie Smooth got involved again and got thrashed again.
However, Keith Walker comes running out and drills Ego from behind and then
picks Ego up and powerbombs him off the stage thru the pyramid of 8 chairs.
Walker throws Trik on top of Ego for the pin.
10.
Quick Carter Gray def. Ricochet, Dingo, Prince Mustafa Ali and Jason Hades to
retain the IWA Mid-South World Light Heavyweight Title.
I
can't even begin to put into words the high flying death defying moves that
these guys broke out in this match. So many domino effect flips and twists out
of moves. So many high risk dives and craziness. The shooting star press 450
legdrop that Gray did was breathtaking. Gray gets the pin on Ricochet amongst
the madness. You have to see it to believe type stuff in this one.

1. Ryan Phoenix vs. Juice Robinson goes to a 10 minute time limit draw
Very
good opening match that saw Ryan Phoenix working the neck of Juice and
Juice hitting a very nice spinebuster, a spear and a few suplexes.
Several near falls towards the end but they just couldn't get the three
count. I have a feeling that this is not over yet and a rematch is in
the works.
2. Bill the Butcher def. Greg Excellent
There
was no Kimberly Kash and it was a very different Bill the Butcher
following his KO loss to Necro Butcher. Bill ended up using his chain
by wrapping it around his elbow and delivering a back elbow smash to
Greg to get the victory. Greg had Bill on the ropes and momentum on his
side before Bill resorted to using the chain.
3. Rain def. Mickie Knuckles in a Pinfalls Count Anywhere Match
Rain
came out first and hid on the floor on the far side of the ring. As
Mickie came out and walked around the ringside area tagging fans'
hands, Rain attacked with an ambush and the fight was on. This one went
all over the gymnasium and included many whippings with a belt, throws
into the wall, dumping garbage on each other etc. They brawled up into
the bleachers and this is when The Hooligans attacked. They ran out and
grabbed Mickie and gave her a double powerbomb on the bleachers
allowing Rain to get the win.
The Hooligans immediately went to
the back after the attack. Ian came out from the dressing room to check
on Mickie. When he saw she was alright, he went to the ring. He called
out Jim Fannin and told him to get into the ring. Ian told Jim that he
didn't need to wait until Joliet if he wanted to talk trash, do it now.
Jim stated that he was a man of his word and since he said he would
talk in Joliet, that is what he was going to do. The Hooligans came
back out and attacked Ian from behind until Axl Rotten runs from the
back and it leads directly into:
4. The Bad Breed def. The Hooligans
This
was a return of the Bad Breed circa mid 1990s as Ian and Axl were
laying in the chair shots and the ass kickings as the fight was
everywhere. Three or four of the white chairs were broken by
chairshots. At the end of the match, Ian hit a stunner and Axl
delivered a lariat to get the pinfall. The victory was short lived
however as The Hooligans attacked after the match and duct taped Axl to
the ropes and then mercilessly beat on Ian using their belt buckle like
brass knuckles to gash Ian open badly.
After The Hooligans left and Axl was cut free, he made the challenge for a
rematch on March 20th for the return to Bellevue.
5. Keith Walker def. Zack Gowen
Keith
Walker was a force of nature in this match as Zack just couldn't
overcome the size advantage. He was able to get in a few things here or
there and had Walker reeling at one point but Keith drilled him with a
couple of Cut Throat Suplexes and then delivered a 6 Overhead Presses
Gorilla Press Slam followed by a Walker Driver for the pin. After the
match, another Walker Driver was delivered for added emphasis.
6. Drake Younger def. Jon Moxley, Devon Moore & B-Boy in a Pick Your Poison
Match
This
was a brutal matchup that was highlighted by Devon Moore being tied
into a tree of woe, Drake then being snap mared into the corner onto
top of Devon and then Moxley being thrown into the pile...B-Boy then
delivered a triple decker B-Boy Dropkick. As Devon & B-Boy got sent
to the floor later in the match and were fighting amongst themselves,
Drake delivered a Drake's Landing on Moxley for the pinfall.
Drake Younger now gets to pick any match that he would like...EXCEPT for a title
shot against Dingo.
7.
Popular Electronics (Hype Shalwin & Gameboy) def. Contract Killers
(Anthony Henry & Dustin Knight), The Starting Lineup (Kareem Abdul
Jamar & Chris Mayne) and Frankie the Face/"Old Timer" Jeff King
This
was a fun match with lots of great action between the Contract Killers
and The Starting Lineup. Very impressive performances for them. The
crowd loved when Kareem took his basketball and jumped off the apron of
the ring and did a slam dunk on the basketball goal and with his
landing took all the opponents on the floor out with a dive. Popular
Electronics get the victory with the Beer-O-Matic.
8. Michigan Militia def. Grits N Gravy in a Ladders Match
The
Militia attack Grits N Gravy while they were on their way to the ring.
The action starts on the floor and they are quickly using the ladders
as crippling weapons. A ladder is leaned against the ring on the floor
and Brooks gets backdropped onto it. Sami hiptosses Skyline onto the
ladder. Elgin was destroying chairs right and left with chairshots to
Brooks. The action continued fast and furious until Brooks hit a
concrete crash on Sami onto the ladder. Brooks then went for a Shooting
Star Press but Sami moved. Sami then bridged the ladder across the
second rope in a corner and then set Brooks up onto the top of the
corner. Sami climbed around the ladder and got up on the top rope with
Brooks and dumped him headfirst onto the ladder with a modified
Michinoku Driver. Elgin was then going for a powerbomb onto the ladder
but he ended up getting hit with powder in the eyes and was blinded.
Sami went to check on him but Elgin thought it was still the Michigan
Militia that he was trying to powerbomb. Instead, Elgin powerbombs Sami
onto the ladder and the Militia get the pin.
9.
Jason Hades def. "Quick" Carter Gray, Ash, Egotistico Fantastico, Shane
Hollister, Yellow Dog & Prince Mustafa Ali in a non title 7 way
elimination match.
So much action in this match that
it will be hard to list it all. Ali went to the back and came back out
with a shoe. He sat in the crowd and tried to light the shoe bomb on
fire and threw the bomb into the ring. Yellow Dog thought he was
playing fetch so he retrieved the shoe and brought it back to Ali. Ali
was furious and tried again to get the shoe to light. All other 6
competitors attacked him on the floor to keep him from doing it and
held him in the chair for Ego to deliver a running splash. Ego was
stilled taped up on the shoulder/chest from the fireball that he was
hit with by Trik & Ali.
Ali is the first eliminated, by Ego with the Beach Break.
Yellow Dog def. 2nd by Ash with a rollup and a handful of tail
Hollister
eliminated third by Quick Carter Gray. Gray has him in a powerbomb
position but takes Hollister's arms and crosses them between his own
legs and picks him up like a powerbomb but falls backwards into a
Northern Lights Suplex for the elimination. Hard to describe but
impressive to see.
Ego eliminated 4th by Ash with a Super Kick
Ash eliminated 5th by Hades with a springboard double foot stomp
Hades then eliminates Gray with a Killswitch but doesn't regain the Light
Heavyweight Title since it was a non title match.
10. Dingo def. Trik Davis to retain the IWA World Heavyweight Title
This
was an outstanding match that saw Dingo fight an uphill battle with Ali
ringside helping Trik during the match. Dingo was always fast to
quickly roll back into the ring when on the floor to make sure the 2 on
1 advantage was short lived. You could tell that both men scouted each
other very well as Dingo was able to counter the hangman's clutch among
other things and Trik was ready with reversals as well. Dingo finally
gets the victory around the 25 minute mark with a Super Fisherman's
Buster Suplex.

Tables, Ladders & Chairs Grudge Match
Grits N Gravy (Elgin & Sami) vs. Michigan Militia (Brooks & Skyline) vs. Sex
Drugs & Wrestling (Chambers & Ash)
Elgin
teamed with Chambers at the first Bellevue show to take on the Militia.
Chambers turned on Elgin disgusted that he was using Sami Callihan as a
tag partner. That somehow was a betrayal to his Canadian roots.
Chambers promised that Elgin would never be able to get another
Canadian to team with him...including his former tag partner and man he
came to IWA with, Ash. It allowed the Militia to get a victory over
Elgin. Elgin and Chambers started an impromptu match against each other
when the Militia got involved again. They beat down both Elgin and
Chambers leading to the need for a 3 way. In order to make it a little
more interesting...tables, ladders and chairs will be allowed. Will the
Canadians side with the Militia or Grits N Gravy to make it 4 on 2
until the Militia is taken care of or will the past friendship of Elgin
and Ash mean nothing and every team fend for themselves? Maybe Sex
Drugs & Wrestling will work with the Militia to prove a point to
Elgin. The only thing known for sure is that chaos will ensue!
Pinfalls Count Anywhere
Mickie Knuckles vs. Rain
This
will be a return match from the January 23rd show as Mickie Knuckles
knocked out Rain with a kneelift using the leg that has the titanium
rod inserted into it after breaking her leg vs. Sara Del Rey. Rain came
out at the end of the night and attacked Mickie as she tried to save
Ian Rotten from an attack at the hands of The Hooligans. Mickie and
Rain have had a long standing rivalry that included several brutal
matches back in 2005 including a strap match. This promises to go down
in the books as just as hard hitting as those matches were and then
some!
Grudge Tag Team Match
The Bad Breed (Ian & Axl Rotten) vs. The Hooligans (Devin & Mason Cutter)
The
Hooligans have decided that they want to try to run with the big dogs.
They attacked Ian Rotten at the TV Taping demo show and called Ian and
Axl old men. They followed that up by attacking Ian Rotten at the end
of the night a week later in Bellevue. Ian has promised that they will
pay the price and learn why Ian and Axl are called the Bad Breed when
they tangle on the 6th!
Also on this card:
Heavyweight Title Match
(c) DINGO vs. Trik Davis
Pick Your Poison Match
Drake Younger vs. Devon Moore vs. B-Boy vs. Jon Moxley
*The
winner will get to pick whatever match they would like. If Drake
Younger wins though, he will not be able to pick a Heavyweight Title
Match as his choice since he lost his last and final match against
DINGO for that title.
Keith Walker vs. (former WWE Star) "The One Legged Wonder" Zach Gowen
Bill the Butcher vs. Greg Excellent
Non-title Light Heavyweight Total Elimination Match

This
will be a return match from the January 23rd show as Mickie Knuckles
knocked out Rain with a kneelift using the leg that has the titanium
rod inserted into it after breaking her leg vs.
(c)"Quick" Carter Gray vs. Ricochet vs. Jason Hades vs. Prince Mustafa Ali
Juice Robinson vs. Ryan Phoenix
Hope to see you all there!

Here are the results from the Jan 23rd show in Bellevue, Illinois:
1. Trik Davis def. Shane Hollister
This
was a very good opening contest and Hollister was very impressive in
his debut even in a losing effort. Hollister received a please come
back chant from the IWA regulars that made the trek down to Bellevue.
2. The Hooligans def. Ryan Phoenix & Stephen Saint
3. Egotistico Fantastico def. Juice Robinson
Juice
continues to be very impressive but Ego got the victory with the
springboard reverse direction moonsault. Ego wrestled with his left
shoulder/chest heavily bandaged due to the fireball he was hit with
last weekend by Trik Davis & Prince Mustafa Ali (Smooth
Operations.) Trik came out after the match and attacked Ego's injured
chest with a chair until being run off by Shane Hollister and Yellow
Dog. Yellow Dog then issued a challenge to Trik Davis for later in the
night since Chuck Taylor was unable to make it to Bellevue due to
having the flu.
4. Devon Moore def. Tyler Black
Tyler
cut a promo before the match about how he got his start in IWA and gave
his history with IWA...how he lost the loser leaves IWA match at the
2006 TPI and has hardly been used at all in IWA after the 6 months had
expired. He proclaimed his desire to become an IWA regular again and
how after he "beats this punk tonight," he "wants a heavyweight title
shot." Tyler was quite dominant for the majority of the match and
seemed to be on his way to victory until Jimmy Jacobs came out and put
Devon's foot on the rope to break the pinfall. This distracted Tyler
and let to a shouting match between the former Age of the Fall partners
and allowed Devon Moore to recover and nail Tyler with a superkick to
get the victory.
5. Mickie Knuckles def. Rain
This
match was mostly technical based unlike their previous wars in 2005
that were the hardest hitting women's matches in IWA history. The
technical got thrown out the window though half way through and it
turned into a fight. Mickie gets the victory following a vicious knee
lift with the titanium rod reinforced leg that knocked Rain
unconscious. Rain needed help back to the dressing room and Mickie only
partially looked concerned about knocking out Rain.
6. Necro Butcher def. Ricochet
This
was an outstanding big man/little man matchup that saw Necro just
totally destroy Ricochet in the early going beating him from one side
of the building to the other. Fans were beginning to worry for
Ricochet's well being and safety. Ricochet was able to control the
action for quite a while after the rocky start by using his quickness
and agility. He gained several near falls on Necro using this gameplan
to where the crowd thought they were going to see the upset. Ricochet
made a costly mistake though as he went high risk and climbed to the
top rope and jumped off towards Necro. Necro drilled Ricochet in the
face with a wicked right cross in mid air and gained the victory by
pinning the stunned Ricochet.
7. Trik Davis def. Yellow Dog
Trik
didn't quite know how to handle dealing with the unorthodox nature of
the Yellow Dog but he did gain the victory with a rollup and a handful
of the Yellow Dog's tail and trunks for leverage.
8. Dingo def. Jimmy Jacobs to retain the IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Title
Jim
Fannin was the ring announcer for the match and Dingo pinched his cheek
as he had a very worried look on his face before doing the intros. They
then exchanged thumbs up before the start of the match. The match
started with a very respectful display of catch as catch can style of
wrestling and clean breaks. The mutual respect slowly evaporated
following several shoving matches and heated exchanges. It turned into
a brawl around the building that saw Dingo get busted open. Jimmy had
the upper hand as they returned to the ring until Tyler Black came out
to ringside and starting to try to get into the ring to go after Jimmy
for costing him earlier in the night vs. Devon Moore. As Jimmy argued
with Tyler Black, Jim Fannin started sneaking closer to the ring from
the commentary table and slid into the ring and then delivered a
running double axe handle to the base of the neck. Jacobs forward
momentum pushed him into the ref which caused the ref to tumble to the
floor. The ref got up and tried to run off Tyler Black. Fannin grabbed
the ref and threw him back into the ring as Dingo was hitting a
fisherman's suplex onto Jimmy Jacobs for the pinfall victory.
Ian
Rotten left the commentary table and came to the ringside area and
started yelling at Fannin asking why he interfered. Fannin claimed that
he did nothing and was at the commentary table with Rotten the entire
time. At this point, The Hooligans run out and attack Ian. Mickie comes
to try to save Ian but Rain comes out right behind Mickie and they
continue fighting. Fannin grabs Dingo and says that if Ian wants to be
in love with Jimmy Jacobs that they aren't going to help him fight off
the Hooligans. They leave as Jimmy Jacobs comes to with a chair to
chase off The Hooligans and Rain.
Jimmy Jacobs cuts a promo
saying that Jim Fannin has interfered in his matches for the last time
and that it is going to come to an end. He says that Fannin may have
done a lot for IWA but he doesn't put his body on the line like him and
the other WRESTLERS do. He then says that by the looks of things, he
now has Ian Rotten and Mickie Knuckles on his side in the war.
Ian
Rotten then tells Jimmy that the time has come for Fannin to show
whether he has any balls or not and stop getting other people to fight
his battles for him. It is time for Jim Fannin to fight Jimmy Jacobs
one on one. Jimmy was on his knees begging Ian to make the match. Ian
said that since Fannin wasn't a WRESTLER that he couldn't make him do
the match but that he had faith that enough buttons could eventually be
pushed to where the Fannin would agree to the match.
Ian then
turned his attention to The Hooligans and told them that on Feb 6 in
Bellevue that they were going to pay for calling Ian and Axl old men
last weekend. "This 38 year old fat scarred up old man is going to kick
your asses on the 6th!" and made the match of The Bad Breed vs. The
Hooligans.
The match was then made for Rain vs. Mickie Knuckles in a pinfalls count
anywhere match for February 6th in Bellevue as well.
Stay tuned to the message board for further details about the return to Bellevue
on Friday night February 6th.
