IWA Mid-South Wrestling returns to action with two big events on Friday &
Saturday, May 7th & 8th in northern Indiana.

Friday, 5/7 is "You Gotta See This!" at the National Guard Armory, 5220 East
200 South, in Lafayette, Indiana. On the card: (Tag Team Title Tournament
Qualifying Match) Matt Sydal & Delirious vs. "The New Age Punisher" B-Boy &
"817"
Homicide, plus The Amazing Red makes his IWA Mid-South debut against Austin
Aries, and much more!

Saturday, 5/8 is "A Meeting of the Minds" at the Lincoln Center, 2450 Lincoln
Street, in Highland, Indiana. On the card: (Tag Team Title Tournament
Qualifying Match) Brad Bradley & Ryan Boz, managed by "The Hustler" Carmine
DeSpirito
vs. The Havana Pitbulls, managed by pro wrestling icon Bobby "The Brain"
Heenan, plus Matt Sydal takes on The Amazing Red, and much more!

Additionally, Samoa Joe has just been signed to return to IWA-MS competition
on both of the weekend's events!

next few weeks, as fans have the opportunity to select any 10 tapes from the
IWA library for just $100 (if you pay in cash at the merchandise table and
pick up your order in person at an upcoming IWA Mid-South live event).

Dual tape sets such as KOTDM and TPI will count as two tapes in the total.
Fans are welcome to compile "want lists" of specific selections they'd like to

IWA Mid-South Wrestling returned to the National Guard Armory in Salem,
Indiana on Friday night, April 16th for "The Final Countdown." Here's what went
down...

1. RYAN BOZ def. "Barbaric Berzerker" JIMMY JACOBS with a sit-out tombstone
piledriver.

2. ROBBIE McALLISTER of "The Highlanders" def. FRANKIE THE FACE.

3. "The Tremendous" EMIL SITOCI def. CASH FLO.

4. IAN ROTTEN def. RORY McALLISTER of "The Highlanders" with the Rotten Rush.

5. CORPORAL ROBINSON def. JC BAILEY in a Falls Count Anywhere Match after the
Boot Camp off the ring apron onto a pile of chairs.

6. CHRIS HERO def. DANNY DANIELS in a Last Man Standing Match when Daniels
couldn't answer the referee's ten count following a jumping Hero's Welcome on a
chair.

The event was filmed for home video release with commentary by Dave Prazak,
Ian Rotten, and Felix Kohlenberg.

IWA Mid-South Wrestling returned to the National Guard Armory in Lafayette,
Indiana on Saturday night, April 17th. Here's what went down...

1. "Spyder" NATE WEBB def. FRANKIE THE FACE & J-ROCC in a three-way dance.

2. "The Highlanders" RORY & ROBBIE McALLISTER def. "Perfect Strangers" EMIL
SITOCI & TRIK DAVIS following the Hot Scot Slingshot.

3. LACEY wrestled DAIZEE HAZE to a draw in their two out of three falls
match. Lacey scored the first pinfall following the implant DDT. Daizee won the
second fall with a roll-up. The third fall was ruled a draw as neither woman
could answer the referee's ten count after landing simultaneous Yakuza kicks to
one another.

4. DELIRIOUS def. CHAD COLLYER by rolling Collyer into a cradle after
countering out of the Texas Cloverleaf.

5. MATT SYDAL def. AUSTIN ARIES to retain the IWA Light Heavyweight Title
after Aries missed a 450 splash and Sydal rolled him into a small package for
the
pinfall.

6. CHRIS HERO (seconded by Emil Sitoci) def. "Anarchist" ARIK CANNON
(seconded by Frankie The Face) in a match held under the European rounds format,
consisting of twelve three minute rounds. After trading the first two falls,
with
both wrestlers receiving two yellow card public warnings each, Hero scored the
third and deciding fall at 1:47 of the tenth round via submission with the
Hangman's Clutch.

7. DANNY DANIELS & RYAN BOZ & JIM FANNIN def. IAN ROTTEN & "Metalhead" STEVE
STONE in a Handicap Match when Fannin pinned Rotten following a spike
tombstone piledriver executed by Daniels & Boz.

The event was filmed for home video release, with commentary by Dave Prazak,
Ian Rotten, Mickie Knuckles, Felix Kohlenberg, Nate Webb, and Delirious.

WEEKEND NOTES: Following Aries/Sydal in Lafayette, Ian Rotten extended the
first two invitations for the 2004 Ted Petty Invitational Tournament to both
men. He also announced that on 5/7 in Lafayette, Aries would face the debuting
Amazing Red, while Sydal will face Amazing Red on 5/8 in Highland... Also
announced were two further additions to the Women's Title Tournament, to be held
on
5/30 in Hammond. NWA-TNA's Trinity and IWA's own Mickie Knuckles have been
added to the list, along with previously announced wrestlers Lacey, Tracy
Brooks,
MsChif, ODB, Rain, and Daizee Haze. The tournament will feature a total of
twelve women competing over three brackets of four women each, with a three-way
elimination final... "The IWA Mid-South/NWA Wildside Challenge" event, which
had been scheduled for 4/30 in New Albany, has been postponed until a date to
be announced in the near future. The New Albany Armory is now unavailable on
that particular date due to National Guard use... It was announced at the Salem
event that the return show at that building, 5/21, may potentially be IWA's
final event at that venue, depending on the attendance. The 5/21 show will be
filled with more high profile wrestlers than is usual for a Salem event, in an
attempt to increase fan interest there.

IWA Mid-South returns to action with events on Friday & Saturday, May 7th and
8th. Friday, 5/7 will be at the Armory (5220 East 200 South) in Lafayette,
while Saturday, 5/8 will be at the Lincoln Center (2450 Lincoln Street) in
Highland. This will be another bigger double shot weekend, similar to the Winter
Wars/Stylin & Profilin weekend during December of last year in Lafayette and
Highland. In addition to the IWA regulars that weekend, also in for the shows
will be Amazing Red, The Havana Pitbulls, B-Boy, and Homicide. More stars, and
specific matches, will be announced for the events during the coming weeks. If
you'd like to help spread the word locally about either event by helping the

information.

Looking at the rest of May's schedule: 5/15 we make our long awaited return
to the Bloomington Armory... 5/21 we're back at the Salem Armory... 5/22 is "A
Prelude To Death" at the Community Center Gym in Oolitic... 5/29 is the IWA
World Tag Team Title Tournament at the Lincoln Center in Highland... 5/30 is the
IWA Women's Title Tournament at the Hammond Armory.

IWA presents the "King of the Death Matches 2004" on Friday & Saturday, June
25th & 26th at the Community Center Gym in Oolitic. Ringside tickets went on
sale for these events this past weekend. Mail orders for tickets to the KOTDM
shows are now being accepted. Ringside seating is currently available at a cost
of $50 for a weekend pass to both events. Fans sending ticket orders by mail
will be given the best seating available at the time your order arrives. You

IWA Mid-South Wrestling returns to action with two loaded shows this Friday
and Saturday. The Oolitic show on Friday will consist of ten big matches, and
Highland will give fans a whopping twelve. It should be an exciting weekend of
events for IWA fans to behold.

Tomorrow night, Friday, April 9th, is "April Bloodshowers 2004." The show is
at the Community Center Gym (located at 235 Hoosier Avenue) in Oolitic,
Indiana. Bell time is 7:30pm. Tickets are $15, $12, and $8. They will be

IWA Mid-South Wrestling presents "Derby Madness 2004: The IWA Mid-South/NWA
Wildside Challenge" on Friday night, April 30th, at the National Guard Armory
(2909 Grant Line Road) in New Albany, Indiana.

The event will feature a series of IWA-MS vs. NWA Wildside bouts, in a
"friendly duel" between the two independent promotions. NWA President Bill
Behrens
recently stated "I will not be invading anywhere again anytime soon," for those
wondering if some sort of invasion is imminent. IWA-MS representative
"Spyder" Nate Webb was also quoted as saying "I refuse to invade anything," when
the
idea of an IWA invasion of Wildside was brought up in discussion.

A topic has been opened on the IWA-MS message board at
http://board.iwamidsouthwrestling.com/ for those fans who follow NWA Wildside
and are familiar with
its talent, who would like to share their ideas of "dream matches" between the
two promotions that they'd like to see at Derby Madness. Post your thoughts!
But have no fear of "invaders," "invasions," any sort of "unwelcome
intrusion," or acts of "war" between IWA and Wildside on April 30th in New
Albany.

RAIN DEBUTS IN MEXICO FOR LUCHA LIBRE FEMINIL!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Congratulations to IWA Mid-South Women's Division star Rain on her first tour
of Mexico, for Lucha Libre Feminil. Rain appeared on three shows for the
promotion over the course of this past weekend.

Among her matches on the tour, Rain defeated Valentina in a singles bout, and
teamed with Valentina & Diana la Cazadora in a six-person tag team loss to
Polly Star & La Bruja & La Tigresa. Both of these matches were held under
standard lucha libre two out of three falls format.

More IWA Mid-South Women's Division wrestlers are expected to appear for LLF
in the future.


AUSTIN ARIES ADDED TO 4/10 HIGHLAND EVENT!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Light heavyweight standout Austin Aries, who made an impressive showing this
past weekend at the ECWA's Super 8 Tournament, has been added to the already
stacked lineup for IWA Mid-South's show this Saturday night, 4/10, at the
Lincoln Center in Highland, Indiana. Aries' opponent has yet to be named.

IWA's got two major events this weekend. Here's all the info...

Friday, April 9th is "April Bloodshowers 2004" at the Community Center Gym
(235 Hoosier Ave) in Oolitic, IN. Bell time is 7:30pm. Tickets are $15, $12, and
$8, and will be available at the door. Ringside seats can be reserved by

IWA Mid-South Wrestling will present several events during the month of April
throughout the state of Indiana, including our long awaited return to the
Louisville area, more specifically, in New Albany, IN.

April 9th IWA presents "April Bloodshowers 2004" at the Community Center Gym
in Oolitic, IN.

April 10th IWA presents "Simply the Best 5" at the Lincoln Center in
Highland, IN.

April 16th IWA is back at the National Guard Armory in Salem, IN. (The
originally scheduled Salem date of 4/24 was rescheduled for the 16th due to the
Armory being unavailable due to drilling on the original weekend).

April 17th IWA is back at the National Guard Armory in Lafayette, IN.

April 30th IWA presents "Derby Madness 2004: The IWA Mid-South/NWA Wildside
Challenge" at the National Guard Armory in New Albany, IN, just minutes outside
of Louisville. This event will pit IWA Mid-South wrestlers against NWA
Wildside stars in a series of matches.

Also, don't forget that IWA Mid-South Wrestling will present the 2004 edition
of its annual two night single elimination "King of the Death Matches"
tournament on Friday & Saturday, June 25th & 26th, at the Community Center Gym
(located at 235 Hoosier Avenue) in Oolitic, Indiana.

IWA Mid-South management confirmed the dates with the venue upon receiving
approval from the city council on 3/30. For those who plan on making travel
plans from other parts of the country to see KOTDM '04 live and in person, we
will
be making an announcement shortly about an official hotel for the weekend,
with discount room rates for IWA fans.

Ringside tickets for KOTDM '04 will go on sale Friday, April 9th, at IWA's
"April Bloodshowers 2004" event in Oolitic. Two night ticket packages for first
and second row seating to KOTDM '04 will be available on 4/9 at a cost of $50
for the weekend worth of events. Tickets will be made available to those
outside the area via mail order shortly after 4/9 (an announcement will be made
when they go on sale). Those in attendance live at Bloodshowers will have first
crack at ringside seats.

Also, for fans who are planning on making the trip to Highland, Indiana for
the "IWA World Tag Team Title Tournament" show on Saturday, 5/29 at the Lincoln
Center, we will also be presenting our "IWA Women's Title Tournament" that
same weekend, on Sunday, 5/30. An announcement will be made of the location for
the Women's Tournament show within the week, but the show be in the same
general region as Highland.

IWA Mid-South Wrestling returned to the National Guard Armory in Lafayette,
IN on Saturday, March 27th. Here's what went down...

1. BRAD BRADLEY (w/ Jim Fannin) def. AUSTIN ARIES in the opening match
following a vicious lariat.

2. CORPORAL ROBINSON & "The Tremendous" EMIL SITOCI def. "The Highlanders"
RORY & ROBBIE McALLISTER after a Boot Camp from Robinson and splitleg moonsault
from Sitoci.

3. CHAD COLLYER def. "CK3" CONRAD KENNEDY III via submission with a Texas
Cloverleaf. After the match, BRAD BRADLEY and RYAN BOZ attacked Collyer, leading
to NIGEL McGUINNESS making the save, as the two will team against Bradley &
Boz at the 4/10 Highland event in a Tag Team Title Tournament Qualifying Match.

4. "Spyder" NATE WEBB def. JAIMY COXXX via submission with the Web of Death
(Nate2P).

5. NIGEL McGUINNESS def. PETEY WILLIAMS in just over 26 minutes of back and
forth technical wrestling.

6. DANNY DANIELS & RYAN BOZ (w/ Jim Fannin) def. IAN ROTTEN & "Metalhead"
STEVE STONE in a Stretcher Match when Ian's wife PATTI called for the match to
be
stopped when a bloodied Rotten, as well as Stone, were helplessly duct taped
to the ring ropes and mercilessly attacked. Post-match, CORPORAL ROBINSON came
to the aid of Rotten and Stone.

Notes: The event was filmed with two cameras by Head-On Video Productions for
home video release, with commentary by Dave Prazak, Nate Webb, Jim Fannin,
and Ian Rotten... BJ Whitmer, who had been scheduled to be Daniels' partner in
the main event, was forced to cancel his bookings for the duration of the
weekend due to a death in the family... IWA returns to the Lafayette Armory on
4/17
with Ian Rotten & Steve Stone & Corporal Robinson vs. Brad Bradley & Ryan Boz
& Danny Daniels & Jim Fannin in a handicap tag team match, Lacey vs. Daizee
Haze in a 2 out of 3 falls Women's Division bout, plus Matt Sydal, Delirious,
and Arik Cannon on the card... There will be a heavy IWA Mid-South presence on
the debut event for No Limits Wrestling on Sunday afternoon, March 28th. "NLW:
Awakening" will take place at the Masonic Temple (420 18th St) in Rock

--MORE MATCHES ANNOUNCED FOR 4/10 HIGHLAND!!

IWA Mid-South Wrestling returns to the National Guard Armory (located at 1100
N. Shelby Street) in Salem, IN this coming Friday night, March 19th. Bell
time is 7:30pm. Tickets are just $12 & $8 and will be available at the door.
Reserved ringside seating is available by leaving a message on the IWA hotline
voicemail at 502-569-1701 with your name and how many tickets you'd like held.

The main event of Friday's card will be a rematch from the 3/7 Oolitic event,
as IWA World Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lynn will defend the title against BJ
Whitmer once again, but this time with a 30 minute iron-man format. Lynn
successfully defended the title in Oolitic after counteracting Jim Fannin's
attempted interference by baseball slide dropkicking him to the floor before
hitting
the cradle piledriver on Whitmer. Fannin cried foul after the match due to
Lynn's "attack," and demanded a rematch. Lynn quickly accepted the challenge,
and IWA officials have added the iron-man stipulation.

"Spyder" Nate Webb, on the heels of a hellatious Texas Death Match on 3/6 in
Highland against JC Bailey, and an equally bloody bout on 3/7 in Oolitic
against Corporal Robinson, will return to straight light heavyweight comptition
on
Friday as he will get a second title shot at current IWA Light Heavyweight
Champion Matt Sydal. Webb and Sydal faced one another on 1/16 in Oolitic, only
for the match to come to a premature end due to the involvement of JC Bailey.
These two friends wanted to have a fair match against one another without any
interference, and will have the chance to determine just who is the better man
on Friday in Salem, with the title belt at stake.

The Salem show will also feature a rematch from the 2/28 Lafayette card, as
former IWA World Champ Danny Daniels will take on Austin Aries. Daniels came
out on the winning end of their first IWA meeting as a result of Jim Fannin's
interference after Aries hit a 450 splash on Daniels. Aries requested a rematch
after the decision, and will get that opportunity in Salem.

Ian Rotten sustained a concussion which put him in the hospital during late
January as a result of a kick to the head from Ryan Boz at the 1/17 IWA event
in Highland. The two were on opposite sides of a brutal eight man tag team
barbed wire match on 2/13, but have yet to meet one on one in singles
competition
since the injury. Friday's event in Salem will see Rotten and Boz battle--
singles style.

British competitior Nigel McGuinness returned to IWA ranks on 3/7 in Oolitic,
falling to Delirious during the closing moments of a three-way elimination
match which also involved "Metalhead" Steve Stone. Nigel is back in IWA action
again on Friday, as he is set to take on a young wrestler who has been building
quite a name for himself in IWA and across the wrestling scene during the
first quarter of 2004 in Canada's Petey Williams. This promises to be an
exciting
battle of technical wrestling skill between two determined athletes.

All of this, plus the Salem return of the "Wild Eyed Southern Boy" Tracy
Smothers, and much more!

MsChif: Major Impact in IWA
Interview by Al Lagattolla

MsChif wowed fans at IWA MidSouth's show March 6 at Highland, Ind., standing
out as the MVP of a 6-woman tag match that has attracted much attention. The
match was won by Lacey, who was joined by MsChif in the match by Daizee Haze,
Rain, Mickie Knuckles and ODB.

MsChif talked with Chicagowrestling.com's Al Lagattolla - via e-mail - about
the significance of the match, her views on women's wrestling and her
excitement at having had a chance to face quality women's wrestlers. Usually,
she said
she has to face men to feel challenged. She also talks about the green mist
she used to help eliminate ODB. She said it was the first time she used it, but
it won't be the last.

AL: Have you been in a match like the IWA 6-woman match before ... with the
sheer numbers and the length devoted to it?

MsCHIF: I've been in many matches as far as the numbers and length goes. I've
done several 8 man tags, 3 and 4 way tags, triple threat matches, 4 way
dances and several of them in elimination style. I've also done several 2 out of
3
falls which tend to make a match much longer than it would be normally,
including one of my best matches ever beating Matt Sydal in a 2 out of 3 falls,
falls count anywhere match where I successfully defended my (at the time) Light
Heavyweight Championship title. The big difference with the IWA match is that
I'm use to wrestling men. This was the first time I had ever been in a match
with so many women who could really wrestle.

AL: There has been a lot of praise heaped upon the match, and your
performance in particular. Do you agree with it all? How good was the match?

MsCHIF: I do feel the match went very well. There are a couple of things I
think I could have done better, but I was very happy with everyone's performance
in the match. I was very impressed with the other women and thrilled to
finally meet up with some women who like to get in the ring and not only
wrestle,
but wrestle good.

AL: When you were eliminated, fans reacted with strong support for you. Have
you been in a situation like that, and do you have any reaction to it?

MsCHIF: The Highland fans were absolutely amazing. I have never been in an
environment where the crowd was behind me THAT much. I've had fans cheer me and
plenty boo me, but I have never witnessed a reaction like what I felt in
Highland. I was in complete awe at their reaction when I was eliminated. That
left
a true feeling of appreciation and I am grateful to them for that. I very much
look forward for the opportunity to come back to Highland.

AL: A little background ... How long have you been wrestling, and how did you
get your start?

MsCHIF: I've been wrestling for 3 years now. I have always been a fan of
wrestling since I was a kid. It got to the point where watching it just wasn't
enough anymore. I wasn't satisfied with just watching it, I felt something was
missing. I got on the internet and started looking for wrestling schools in the
St. Louis area. I found a couple went to their shows, and chose the one I
thought had the best talent, put on the best shows, and had the most potential.
They didn't have any women wrestling for them at the time, though they did have
one that was attempting to train. I say attempting, because this girl was
afraid of taking a simple suplex. I was very frustrated in trying to learn to
wrestle, when my training partner was too afraid to move beyond basics and
clotheslines. She ended up realizing that if she wasn't going to learn anymore,
then
she didn't belong in the ring. I was excited because this meant, at least as
far as training goes, I didn't have to work with mainly her anymore, I got to
work with all the guys. I didn't want to wrestle like a typical American woman
wrestler. I wanted to get in ring and do everything the guys were doing. I was
very serious about this, I wanted to be a wrestler. The guys all realized
this. They didn't train me like a girl. They trained me just like I was one of
the guys. I thank them for that, and I believe it paid off.

AL: Have you always gone by MsChif, and where and how did you come up with
your name and your look? Is the green mist always a part of your arsenal?

MsCHIF: I have always gone by MsChif, one of my first trainers was the one
who gave me the name. I liked the name, I thought it was fitting for the type of
character I wanted to be. My partner in St. Louis, Delirious who's wrestling
skills I admire incredibly, chose the colors. I came up with my own look. I
didn't want to just look like eye candy. I wanted something that made the
statement of no nonsense, no T & A, I'm here for business, I'm here to wrestle.
I
knew I'd be fighting men and I needed something that was mean enough and
believable enough to get in the ring with men and beat them.
Green mist is actually something new I've added. IWA's 6 way women's match
was the first time I decided to use it, and it seems to have gone over well with
the fans. I definitely plan on keeping it a part of my arsenal.

AL: What is your view of women's wrestling, and are you happy with the
matches you've had? What makes a good women's match, is it different than a good
men's match?

MsCHIF: In general, I feel women's wrestling in America is pretty bad, though
I do love watching Japanese women. I really haven't wrestled very many women.
We have to face facts here, most women who attempt to wrestle should really
be embarrassed to call themselves wrestlers. I have wrestled Daizee Haze many
times over the past 2 years. Our feud has even extended into wrestling each
other on NWA TNA Xplosion. We've had many singles, inter gender tag, and inter
gender triple threat matches. I feel she is really an amazing wrestler. She's
great to work with in the ring.

I assume you're asking if I'm happy with the women's matches I've had. I
haven't really wrestled many women, I've been very happy with the matches I've
wrestled Daizee in. Other than her, nothing else had yet impressed me until the

way IWA match.

I don't think you can really single any one thing out to say 'this would make
a good women's match'. It depends on the wrestler. I can say what makes bad
matches, is women who get afraid to get in the ring. Those who are afraid of
taking bumps, who are afraid of getting hurt. It's wrestling, of course it
hurts! I think that a lot of times promotions don't have good women wrestlers
and
they will put two women in the ring, who really have no business being there to
begin with, just to give the fans something to 'woohoo' at. I feel like some
promoters think that the fans will buy it just because they've got two women
in the ring, and in reality it just makes women look like a joke. There are
others who will put women out there simply because they think they are
attractive
even though they have no athletic talent whatsoever. I think it's that type
of thing that seriously gives women's wrestling in America a bad name. I don't
feel that there is a difference in what element makes a good women's or a good
men's match. Making a good match is all up to the wrestlers. Typically the
men are a lot better at it, but I don't feel there is a difference in what makes
the match good. It depends how good the wrestler is.

AL: What are some of your career highlights?

MsCHIF: My biggest highlights have been:

Getting to wrestle "Prime Time" Elix Skipper. I wrestled Elix in a triple
threat match. The match was Elix Skipper vs. Ryan Ash vs. MsChif. We had an
excellent match. My excitement didn't end with just having the opportunity to
wrestle Elix, but after the match he was so thrilled with my performance in the
ring with him, he thanked me for the match accompanied by a huge hug and kiss on
the cheek! I was ecstatic by his feelings on my abilities in the ring.

Another one was winning the GCW Light Heavyweight title, a promotion I work
for in St. Louis. I felt this was an extreme compliment to my abilities because
this is not a women's title. This was the promotion's light heavyweight title
that all the male light heavyweights competed for. I held the title for 6
months putting on some of my best matches.

I was voted in as best St. Louis female wrestler of the year for 2002 and
2003.

The latest highlight I've had, has to be the crowd reaction from Highland,
IN. I felt the Highland crowd was a very respectful crowd. They had so much
energy going throughout the entire show. I was in such awe from that crowd's
reaction, I have never felt anything like that in the 3 years I've been
wrestling.
Highland truly has some excellent wrestling fans, and I look forward to seeing
them again.

IWA Mid-South News for 03.01.04

The staff of IWA Mid-South Wrestling sends its deepest condolences to the
family and friends of Jeremy Davis, who passed away over the weekend.

Jeremy wrestled off and on for IWA Mid-South from 1998-2001 under the names
BDL and later J Prodigy. Jeremy captured the IWA Mid-South Light Heavyweight
Title on January 7, 1999 in a three-way dance against The Suicide Kid and Twiggy
Ramirez, before beginning a second title reign during early 2000, regaining
the title from Kid. He was a wrestler willing to take risks and put his body on
the line for the sake of giving the wrestling fans their money's worth. One
of his more high profile IWA Mid-South bouts took place on August 7, 1999,
where he faced Kid and Reckless Youth in a three-way matchup at the Gym in
Oolitic, IN.

Visitation will be Monday from 2pm to 4pm at Highlands Funeral Home at 3331
Taylorsville Road in Louisville. Burial will be 10am on Tuesday.


HERO DEFEATS PUNK IN 60 MIN IRON-MAN MATCH
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Continuing a rivalry that began in IWA Mid-South rings in 2001, Chris Hero
once again faced CM Punk on 2/28. The bout took place in Essen, Germany,
promoted by Westside Xtreme Wrestling, and was held under a 60 minute iron-man
format. The match was won by Hero by a score of 2 to 1. Photos of the show are
currently on the web, and shots from their match begin at the bottom of the
following page of images...

IWA Mid-South Wrestling returned to the National Guard Armory in Lafayette,
IN on Saturday night, February 28th. Here's what went down...

1. "Metalhead" STEVE STONE def. SKEETER FROST in the opener with a modified
version of the White Out.

BRAD BRADLEY, RYAN BOZ, and JIM FANNIN came to the ring and announced that
Bradley had filed an injunction against the Tables & Ladders & Chairs
stipulation for their match later in the night against MATT SYDAL and DELIRIOUS.
They
cited the fact that Bradley is participating in a bodybuilding competition this
coming week and took the necessary legal action to prevent his body from being

2. "The Tremendous" EMIL SITOCI def. "Arch Angel" GABRIEL & NICK HALEN in a
three-way elimination match. Halen was the first man eliminated, followed by
Sitoci pinning Gabriel after Tremendosity (reverse bodypress into a
chinbreaker).

3. SALVATORE RINAURO def. CRU JONES with a roll-up while holding onto the
ring ropes for leverage.

4. DAIZEE HAZE def. LACEY via pinfall following the Heart Punch in the
evening's IWA Womens Division bout. Lacey focused on Daizee's back for the
duration
of the match.

5. DANNY DANIELS (w/ Jim Fannin) def. AUSTIN ARIES. Aries hit a 450 splash on
Daniels, but as he covered Daniels, Fannin pulled Aries' leg to break it up.
As Aries took his attention to Fannin, Daniels schoolboyed Aries for the
victory.

6. IAN ROTTEN def. BJ WHITMER (w/ Jim Fannin). For the duration of the match,
Fannin was handcuffed to the winner of the fan raffle. Post-match, DANNY
DANIELS hit the ring and attacked Ian, prompting Rotten to challenge Whitmer and
Daniels to a stretcher match on the return event in Lafayette on 3/27, with
STEVE STONE as Ian's partner.

7. BRAD BRADLEY & RYAN BOZ def. MATT SYDAL & DELIRIOUS after superbombing
Delirious through a table, despite going to all the trouble to have the
stipulations altered. After the match, Sydal vowed that sooner or later, they'd
get
Bradley & Boz in an official TLC match.

8. JC BAILEY def. "Spyder" NATE WEBB in a Steel Cage Match following the
Bardstown Bam legdrop off the top of the cage. Webb and Bailey both pulled off
some amazing maneuvers from the top rope as well as the top of the cage. Webb
snap mared Bailey off the cage, and also missed a chairsault off the cage, in
addition to hitting a top rope version of Soylent Green on Bailey. JC also gave
Webb a Russian legsweep from the top rope. As the two men were both on the top
of the cage trading slaps during the closing moments of the bout, Bailey
nailed Webb with a roll of coins, sending him crashing down to the canvas,
allowing
Bailey to then hit the Bam for the victory. After the pinfall, Bailey
continued his attack, including a vicious chairshot to the head of Webb. IAN
ROTTEN
made the announcement that on 3/6 in Highland, IN, the Texas Death Match
between Bailey and Webb would be their final battle for a minimum of one year.

NOTES: The event was filmed by Head-On Video Productions with two cameras,
and commentary by Dave Prazak, Ian Rotten, Lacey, and Danny Daniels... NWA
Wildside light heavyweight "Kool" Seth DeLay was originally scheduled to be a
part
of the three-way elimination match, but had to be pulled from the show at the
last minute due to an ankle injury... It was announced that the event
scheduled for Friday, 3/5 in Oolitic has been switched to Sunday, 3/7, due to
the
venue double booking itself for 3/5. Bell time will be 7pm. The lineup should
remain very similar. A finalized card for the event will be announced as soon as
all of the talent has been secured for the new date. We apologize for the
inconvenience.

IWA Mid-South returns to action this coming Saturday night, March 6th at the
Lincoln Center (located at 2450 Lincoln Street) in Highland, IN, just outside
of Chicago. Bell time is 7:30pm. Tickets are $15, $12, and $10, and will be
available at the door on the night of the show. Tickets are also currently

IWA Mid-South Wrestling returns to the National Guard Armory (located at 5220
East 200 South) in Lafayette, IN tomorrow night, Saturday, February 28th.
Bell time is 7:30pm. Tickets are $15, $12, and $10 and will be available at the
door.

The main event will feature the first ever Steel Cage bout between "Spyder"
Nate Webb and JC Bailey! These two men battled in a brutal 30 minute long "I
Quit" Match back on 1/31 in Lafayette, which saw Bailey make Webb give up, but
only after outside interference on Bailey's behalf by BJ Whitmer, Brad Bradley,
and Ryan Boz. The Steel Cage will not only keep other wrestlers out of the
fight, but will also trap Bailey and Webb inside a small, confined area for the
duration of the bout. It is sure to be another memorable chapter in their feud.

IWA Mid-South talent will be a part of an event promoted by Raging Bull
Promotions at Excalibur in Chicago this Wednesday night, Feb. 25th. "Spyder"
Nate
Webb will be taking on Danny Daniels in a wrestling match on the show, which
also features midget wrestling, as well as boxing matches. Fans must be 21 or

ring and attacked him, as a result of Trik's challenge for a rematch against
Cash to take place on the 3/6 Highland, IN card. Seconds later "Road Dogg" BG
JAMES hit the ring to make the save.

3. BJ WHITMER (w/ Jim Fannin) def. "Metalhead" STEVE STONE following outside
interference by Fannin, and with Whitmer's feet on the ropes for leverage.

4. "Barbaric Berzerker" JIMMY JACOBS (w/ Becky Bayless) def. "Anarchist" ARIK
CANNON after hitting the Contra Code. Late in the bout, BJ WHITMER made his
way to ringside and had a few words with Bayless, which momentarily took
Jacobs' attention from Cannon, but he was still able to give Cannon his finisher
and
score the pinfall. Immediately after the bell, Whitmer jumped in the ring and
attacked Jacobs, prompting STEVE STONE to hit the ring to make the save.
Stone then grabbed the mic and told BJ that if he wants to cheat to win their
match, and now wants to get involved with Jacobs' match as well, they should
settle it in the ring tag team style later in the show, with Cannon as Whitmer's
tag team partner. Whitmer immediately accepted, but Cannon was reluctant to
agree to a partnership with BJ. Eventually Cannon said yes, and the match was
made.

5. CASH FLO (w/ Jim Fannin) def. "Road Dogg" BG JAMES after nailing him with
a chain behind the ref's back. Post-match, the referee was attacked by Fannin
and Cash as well, which led to TRIK DAVIS hitting the ring and joining James
in going to town on both Cash and Fannin. BG announced to the crowd that he'd
be back in "O-Town" on 3/5, and will team up with "Bones Malone" (Trik) in a
tag match against "Chump Change" and Fannin.

6. "Barbaric Berzerker" JIMMY JACOBS & "Metalhead" STEVE STONE (w/ Becky
Bayless) def. BJ WHITMER & "Anarchist" ARIK CANNON after Stone hit the
Stonesault
on Whitmer.

The show was filmed with two cameras for home video release, with commentary
by Dave Prazak, Becky Bayless, and Ian Rotten. The originally scheduled
No-Rope Barbed Wire Match on the card between Ian Rotten and JC Bailey was
postponed
until the 3/5 Oolitic event, as JC was stranded in Lexington, KY due to car
trouble and couldn't make it to the show in time to wrestle.

This Saturday night, February 21st, IWA Mid-South Wrestling returns to the
Community Center Gym (located at 235 Hoosier Ave.) in Oolitic, IN. Bell time is
7:30pm. Tickets are $12 and $8 and will be available at the door. Ringside
seats can also be reserved in advance by leaving a message on the IWA hotline at
502-569-1701 with your name and how many tickets you'd like reserved.

Saturday's event will feature the return to IWA competition of former WWF
Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion, and current member of NWA-TNA's 3 Live
Kru, "Road Dogg" B.G. James! He will be taking on Jim Fannin's selection, the
powerful former IWA World Heavyweight Champion Cash Flo.

This past Saturday in Salem, Ian Rotten announced that JC Bailey would square
off in Oolitic against Mad Man Pondo in a No-Rope Barbed Wire Match, but
unfortunately Pondo had to pull himself from the event to tend to family
matters.
As a result, Ian has made the decision to take Pondo's place in the bout,
which continues the ongoing Oolitic rivalry between Bailey and Rotten, this time
with the ring ropes replaced with razor sharp barbed wire. These two men
battled to a 43 minute steel cage draw back in November, and fought in a
grueling "I
Quit" Match during the month of January, which saw Bailey make Rotten give
up. As the tension grows between teacher and student, this Saturday night will
add another violent chapter to their series.

On the heels of main eventing his first IWA Mid-South event this past
Saturday in Salem against B-Boy, the "Anarchist" Arik Cannon steps into the ring
against the "Barbaric Berzerker" Jimmy Jacobs in Oolitic. Jacobs will be
accompanied to the ring by his manager Becky Bayless.

The 2002 Ted Petty Invitational and 2003 Revolution Strong Style winner BJ
Whitmer will be in action against the "Metalhead" Steve Stone, in what promises
to be a hard hitting matchup.

DVD AND VIDEOTAPE UPDATE

After some finishing touches, the first two volumes of the IWA Mid-South Best
of 2003 DVD set are finished, and orders began shipping today, 2/20. Orders
are being sent out in the order they were received. We should have some DVD
sets available at the merchandise table at the upcoming Oolitic and Lafayette
events, along with VHS copies of the 2/13 Highland and 2/14 Salem shows.

The 2/13 and 2/14 events are currently available at www.smartmarkvideo.com
for those who would like to re-live them on home video. Both were shot by SMV
with two cameras and commentary. The 2/13 event is a must-see for those who
weren't there live, with surprise appearances by Sabu, Zach Gowen, Shark Boy,
and
others.


RESULTS 2/14 SALEM, INDIANA @ ARMORY

IWA Mid-South Wrestling presented "Broken Hearted" on Saturday night,
Feburary 14th at the National Guard Armory in Salem, Indiana. Here's what went
down...

1. "The Tremendous" EMIL SITOCI def. "Black" JACK MARCIANO (w/ Eddie
Kingston) following Tremendosity.

2. RYAN BOZ (w/ Jim Fannin) def. TRIK DAVIS. Davis came to the ring and
called out Fannin, asking for a match that night against CASH FLO. Fannin came
to
the ring and told Davis that Cash was not in the building, but he'll be in
Highland on 3/6 to wrestle him. Fannin then told Davis that one of his men would
be more than happy to wrestle him, and brought out Ryan Boz for the match.

3. "Barbaric Berzerker" JIMMY JACOBS def. AUSTIN ARIES following a running
Berzerker boot to the face.

4. "Metalhead" STEVE STONE def. "King of Diamonds" EDDIE KINGSTON (w/ "Black"
Jack Marciano) after the Stonesault.

5. IAN ROTTEN def. ADAM FLASH following the Rotten Rush.

6. JC BAILEY def. CORPORAL ROBINSON after nailing Corp with a pair of brass
knuckles as Robinson was attempting a Boot Camp off the second rope. After the
match, IAN ROTTEN confronted JC about his tactics and attitude, and informed
him of matches that he has in store for him. Among them, Rotten announced that
on 4/9 in Oolitic at "April Bloodshowers 2004," Bailey and a partner of his
choice will battle Corp and a healed WIFEBEATER in a Fans Bring The Weapons
encounter.

7. "The New Age Punisher" B-BOY def. "Anarchist" ARIK CANNON in the main
event of the evening, following two shining wizards, the second of which was
with
the kneepad pulled down for more impact on the maneuver.

The event was filmed with two cameras by Smart Mark Video for home video
release, with commentary by Dave Prazak, Eddie Kingston, and Mickie Knuckles.

--BROKEN HEARTED TONIGHT IN SALEM!!

IWA Mid-South Wrestling presented "Payback, Pain, and Agony" on Friday night,
February 13th, at the Lincoln Center in Highland, Indiana. Here's what went
down...

1. JOSH PROHIBITION & M-DOGG 20 def. "The Wild Cards" EDDIE KINGSTON &
"Black" JACK MARCIANO in the opening tag team bout, following a swanton bomb by
M-Dogg.

2. BJ WHITMER (w/ Jim Fannin) def. SHARK BOY with an inside cradle. Shark was
able to hit the Dead Sea Drop on Whitmer, but Fannin placed BJ's foot on the
bottom rope to break up the pin attempt. As Shark Boy then took his attention
off Whitmer, and on Fannin (including pulling him into the ring and biting him
on the ass), this gave BJ the opportunity to catch Shark off guard, and get
the victory with an inside cradle.

3. MATT SYDAL def. PETEY WILLIAMS with a top rope moonsault belly to belly
suplex to retain the IWA Light Heavyweight Championship. This matchup between
two fan favorites saw Williams bust out a few more aerial maneuvers than he has
in his earlier IWA contests.

DANNY DANIELS and JIM FANNIN interrupted DAVE PRAZAK's announcements between
matches, confronting Prazak on when Daniels will be granted a rematch against
JERRY LYNN for the IWA World Heavyweight Championship. Prazak said that
several other wrestlers are deserving of title shots in IWA, and he'll have to
wait
his turn. Randomly TRIK DAVIS made his way to the ring and interrupted the
conversation, taking the microphone. Davis said he was unhappy he didn't have a
match on the show, particularly after his brutal match against Cash Flo on
1/17. Davis crazily asked Fannin for a rematch against Cash at the 3/6 Highland
event, the idea of which brought about much laughter from Fannin and Daniels,
and concern from Prazak, who said that it wouldn't be a good idea. Trik finally
said that he's serious, and wants to prove himself in IWA, and promised that
if he can't beat Cash Flo on 3/6, he'll leave IWA and never ask to be on
another show again. Fannin then agreed to give him the match. As Davis returned
to
the locker room, discussion returned to Daniels wanting a title shot at Lynn.
Daniels asked to face Lynn on 3/6 in Highland, since he knew that would be
Lynn's next official appearance in IWA. Prazak finally agreed to give him Lynn
on
3/6, but only on the condition that Daniels signs a contract stating that he
will only receive that one single title shot. Daniels agreed, saying that all
he needs is one opportunity to once again become IWA World Champ.

4. "The Future" CHRIS SABIN def. "Barbaric Berzerker" JIMMY JACOBS & ZACH
GOWEN (w/ Alex Shelley) in a three way elimination match. The bout was
originally
scheduled to be Jacobs vs. Shelley in the sixth match in the Best of Seven
Series, but Shelley was sidelined recently with a broken collarbone. IWA
scheduled Sabin to take Shelley's place in the match against Jacobs, which
didn't sit
well with Shelley. Just as Sabin and Jacobs were about to lock up, Shelley's
music hit and he came out to inform them that, in his opinion, Sabin was not
even in his league to replace him in the match, and he brought his own
replacement. Zach Gowen then made his entrance, and joined Shelley in berating
several
ringside fans. It was agreed that the match would become a three way, held
under elimination rules. Gowen was the first man eliminated, following Jacobs'
Contra Code. The final minutes of the match saw Sabin and Jacobs battle back
and forth until Sabin was able to hit Jacobs with Future Shock for the deciding
pinfall.

5. ADAM FLASH def. AUSTIN ARIES with a rollup and a handful of tights, just
seconds after Aries missed a 450 splash off the top rope.

6. LACEY def. DAIZEE HAZE in the IWA Womens Division bout of the evening,
following the implant DDT. The assigned referee for the bout was MICKIE
KNUCKLES,
who has faced both women in the past as a wrestler. Mickie called the match
down the middle, as both women put in a strong, and very hard hitting showing.
Lacey focused on the shoulder of Daizee during the contest, utilizing several
submission holds before hitting the implant DDT for the victory.

7. DELIRIOUS def. "Anarchist" ARIK CANNON with the newly-named Chemical
Imbalance II (the sit down driver he defeated Matt Sydal and Nate Webb with in
previous IWA outings). The two received a standing ovation from the crowd
following the match.

8. SABU def. JC BAILEY & "Spyder" NATE WEBB in a three way dance. Bailey and
Webb had been scheduled to compete on the card in a Texas Death Match, but IWA
officials learned of Webb suffering an injury to his ribs during training
just two days prior to the show, and made the decision that Webb would not be
permitted to put himself at dangerous risk by having to participate in a
grueling
Texas Death Match when he's already hurt. After Bailey made his entrance, he
grabbed the microphone and went off about how the IWA is just protecting Nate
Webb, and he's just scared to face him again, which brought Webb out to the
ring. Nate entered in his wrestling gear, with his ribs taped up, asking to have
the match with Bailey. DAVE PRAZAK informed Webb that IWA management had
already booked a suitable replacement to face Bailey in his place, and the
company
can't put him at risk of serious injury. After more bickering between Webb
and Bailey, both men finally asked who this supposed "suitable replacement" is
that's standing in the way of them having their match, and said they'd be
willing to wrestle that guy too, if that's what it takes. Sabu then made his
entrance, and the match was on, held under a one pinfall format. After Webb hit
Bailey with the Fang (moonsault van terminator), Sabu pitched Webb out of the
ring, and followed up by giving Bailey a triple jump moonsault to score the
victory. After the match, Webb put over Sabu on the microphone, and assured
Bailey
that on 3/6 in Highland, he will get him one on one in the Texas Death Match.

9. DANNY DANIELS (w/ Jim Fannin) def. "The New Age Punisher" B-BOY following
a tombstone piledriver. Daniels, in his first match back following surgery on
his ear, wrestled wearing headgear. Daniels successfully avoided B-Boy's
Facelift dropkick in the corner for the duration of the bout. As B-Boy went to
give
Daniels a shining wizard, Daniels pulled referee ART MENDEZ in B-Boy's path,
knocking Mendez out of commisison. This allowed RYAN BOZ to hit the ring and
attack B-Boy, just before second referee MICKIE KNUCKLES slid in the ring to
make a count, but B-Boy was able to kick out at two. Moments later, Mickie was
struck with a Daniels dropkick and was down, which allowed for ARIK CANNON to
hit the ring, and surprisingly deliver the Glimmering Warlock to Daniels,
rather than B-Boy (who he has to wrestle on Saturday night in Salem). Cannon's
interference wasn't enough to earn B-Boy the victory, however, as Daniels was
able
to hit the tombstone piledriver and score the pin.

10. BALLS MAHONEY & IAN ROTTEN & MAD MAN PONDO & "Metalhead" STEVE STONE def.
BRAD BRADLEY & RYAN BOZ & JIM FANNIN & CARMINE DeSPIRITO in a Texas tornado
style eight man tag team match with the ring ropes wrapped in barbed wire.
Fannin's men all came to the ring dressed in classic street fight gear. The
match
was a wild brawl which went all over the Lincoln Center. DeSpirito brought a
fork into the match as a weapon, which wound up being utilized by a variety of
those involved before all was said and done. Ultimately it was Pondo nailing
Fannin with his stop sign, Mahoney giving Fannin the Nutcracker Suite, Rotten
giving Fannin the Rotten Rush, and finally Stone giving Fannin the Stonesault
which led to Fannin being pinned. Post-match, Fannin also took a brutal
chairshot to the head from Balls. As the show came to a close, Ian Rotten
thanked the
fans for supporting IWA in Highland, and assured them that a lot is planned
for future events at the venue.

video release, with commentary by Dave Prazak, Eddie Kingston, and Arik
Cannon...
Attendance was 244, and the largest crowd thus far at the Lincoln Center...
In addition to Jerry Lynn vs. Danny Daniels, Nate Webb vs. JC Bailey in a Texas
Death Match, and Trik Davis vs. Cash Flo for the 3/6 event in Highland, it
was also announced that IWA, continuing in its effort to restore dignity and
athleticism to womens wrestling in the United States, will be holding a unique
six way elimination match. Tag rules will apply, as only two women will be in
the ring at a time, with one on each corner. Eliminations will occur until only
one wrestler is left standing victorious. Participating in the match will be
Daizee Haze, Rain, Mickie Knuckles, ODB, Lacey, and MsChif. 3/6 will also be an
independent wrestling double header, as IWA teams up with Revolution
Championship Wrestling to present fans in the region with two shows in one day.
RCW's
will be at 1pm in LaSalle, IL, while IWA's will be at 7:30pm in Highland. It
was announced that RCW's Vito & Sal Thomaselli will make their IWA debuts on
that evening. Additionally, Japan has claimed another from IWA's event that day,
as Homicide has been added to a Zero-One tour. Both he and Bryan Danielson
look forward to IWA competition as soon as their schedules permit.

IWA Mid-South returns to the National Guard Armory (located at 1100 N. Shelby
St.) in Salem, Indiana tonight, Saturday, February 14th. This event is titled
"Broken Hearted." Bell time is 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 & $8 and will be
available at the door.

--PAYBACK, PAIN, AND AGONY THIS FRIDAY NIGHT IN HIGHLAND!!

(We received the below E-mail from Chris Hero today, and he asked that it be
posted for everyone to read. Best of luck to Chris as he conquers Europe!)

This is extremely overdue, but I feel that I owe to you, the fans, a bit of a
farewell.  I'm sitting in a library right now, about 15 miles from Liverpool,
trying my best to keep up with my e-mails.  I'm touring currently for All S
tar Promotions all throughout England.  The promoter, Brian Dixon, runs shows
nearly every day and has been promoting shows for over 30 years.

It's been nearly a month since my last IWA match, and it was, without a
doubt, the biggest match of my career.  I wrestled for IWA Mid-South for three
and
a half of the most memorable years of my life.  The promoter, John Williams,
was like a father, and the fellow wrestlers, like brothers.  Just about
everything I know now, I learned in those three and a half years, and I owe
quite a
bit to Ian and IWA Mid-South.  Hell, I even lived with Ian and Patti for a few
months in 2001.  IWA was and will always be something special to me.  I've
gained memories, experiences and friendships that will last me a lifetime.  In
93
minutes, I defeated CM Punk but 20 minutes inside a cage was all Danny
Daniels needed to send me away.

I'm fortunate to have done and seen so much and I'm thankful that everything
has gone so well.  I've spoken with Ian and Prazak and I know they value my
opinion, so I may be gone from IWA Mid-South as a wrestler, but my influence
will still be around whether it be behind the scenes or through a training
aspect.

I'm really not sure how to word everything, but I guess what I want to say is
that sooner or later, the time comes to move on.  I work pretty steadily in
Europe, right now for All Star and for other promotions like wXw and such, so
I'm going to be rather busy for the next few months.  But, past that, I'm not
really sure what the future holds.  I'm generally an optimistic person, so I
have a feeling that everything will work itself out and fall into place
accordingly.

I'm not going to name any names because I don't want to forget anyone, but
thanks for everything.  The fans.  The wrestlers.  Long live IWA Mid-South.

Friday, February 13th is "Payback, Pain, and Agony" at the Lincoln Center

The scheduled Eight Man Tag Team/Ring Ropes Wrapped In Barbed Wire Match this
coming Friday night, February 13th, as part of the IWA event at the Lincoln
Center in Highland, IN is undergoing a bit of a change.

Ian Rotten & Balls Mahoney & "Metalhead" Steve Stone were set to team up with
the debuting Wifebeater of CZW fame against Brad Bradley & Ryan Boz & Jim
Fannin & Carmine DeSpirito in the matchup, but due to a weightlifting injury
suffered this past week, Wifebeater has been sidelined from competition for the
duration of the weekend's events. Taking Wifebeater's place on the
Rotten/Mahoney/Stone team will be the 2003 King of the Death Matches and Fannin
adversary
Mad Man Pondo! It is sure to be a wild eight man war this Friday night just
outside of Chicago with one of the craziest wrestlers on the planet added to the
mix.

Wifebeater was scheduled to take on JC Bailey the following night, Saturday,
February 14th at the National Guard Armory in Salem, IN. Bailey's opponent for
the Salem event has yet to be determined, and will be announced at Friday
night's event in Highland.

For those who had not already heard, the collarbone injury sustained by Alex
Shelley last week will keep him out of action for a period of 6-8 weeks, and
forced him from his scheduled sixth match in the Best of Seven Series against
Jimmy Jacobs this Friday in Highland. Taking Shelley's place will be the
current NWA TNA X Division Champion "The Future" Chris Sabin.

Now, onto some news items...

With the unfortunate collarbone injury sustained this past week by Alex
Shelley, which will sideline him for a period of 6-8 weeks, Jimmy Jacobs was
left
without a scheduled opponent for the IWA Mid-South Wrestling event on 2/13 at
the Lincoln Center in Highland, Indiana. IWA has signed current NWA-TNA X
Division Champion "The Future" Chris Sabin to take Shelley's place in the
matchup
against Jacobs. We also, as has turned into habit for the Highland events, have
a few tricks up our sleeve... in keeping with the idea that "you never know
who's going to show up."

Also, IWA is experiencing some growing pains as we compile, produce, and
release our first DVD set, the IWA Mid-South Best of 2003. What was originally
slated to be a two volume, four DVD (two in each volume) set, with a fifth
additional bonus DVD to the first 125 orders (with the CM Punk vs. Chris Hero 93
minute match) has now turned into a total of six DVD's. We're learning as we go
along... and the lesson learned this time is just how much we can fit on each
DVD.

Thus, Volumes I & II are now a total of 5 DVDs, plus the 6th bonus DVD. The
set of six is still priced at $50 (so it comes out to less than $10 per DVD).
As originally stated, only 250 copies of the 5 DVD's as part of Volumes I & II
will be issued, with 125 copies of the 6th bonus DVD going to the initial 125
orders. The shipping date for those who have already placed orders will be
next Thursday, 2/12. For those wondering, we are just under the 125... so you
can
still get the bonus DVD if you order soon. We will have DVD sets available
for purchase in person at the 2/13 Highland event as well.

Also, even with Volumes I & II now being five DVD's, we had to cut seven
matches from our initial match list which made up the set. But have no fear, we
will issue those matches, plus several more in addition to them, as part of a
Volume III, which will be available in the near future to "complete the set."
Volume III will be available at the cost of a single IWA videotape, just $15. It
was necessary to do this in order to put all of the matches we wanted
included in a Best of 2003 set in DVD format... as the total set, with the bonus
DVD
included, will now wind up being eight DVD's in all! Match lists for each
individual volume will be available shortly. We thank you for your patience.

* Saturday, March 6th, IWA will be part of an independent wrestling double
header in the general Chicago region, as IWA will hold a 7:30pm event in
Highland, IN at the Lincoln Center on the same day as Revolution Championship
Wrestling will run LaSalle, IL at 1pm. Already signed for the IWA event on 3/6
in
Highland is the returning Homicide, plus Jerry Lynn will be on the card to
defend
the IWA World Heavyweight Championship, and a whole lot more to be announced
in the coming weeks.

* We're back in Salem on 3/19, and Lafayette on 3/27.

* April 9th & 10th will be a double shot weekend featuring two major events
for IWA Mid-South Wrestling. 4/9 will be in Oolitic, IN at the Community Center
Gym, and will be "April Bloodshowers 2004." The Oolitic venue permits the
hardcore side of IWA in its true form, and fans will get their yearly
Bloodshowers on 4/9. Then, 4/10, IWA presents "Simply The Best 5" in Highland,
IN at the
Lincoln Center. This will feature several top technical wrestling style bouts,
including the already announced Matt Sydal vs. AJ Styles contest. More
information on 4/9 & 4/10 will be released as we approach the events, but make
your
plans now for what is sure to be a memorable weekend for IWA Mid-South in 2004!

* We're back in Lafayette on 4/17, and Salem on 4/24.

* Saturday, May 22nd will be a one night tournament to crown new IWA World
Tag Team Champions at the Lincoln Center in Highland, IN. Qualifying matches
will take place between now and then to determine the teams that will
participate.

--BAILEY MAKES WEBB SAY 'I QUIT;' STEEL CAGE MATCH 2/28!!
--BRADLEY & BOZ TO BATTLE SYDAL & DELIRIOUS IN TLC MATCH!!
--NEW WRESTLERS ARRIVE IN IWA MID-SOUTH!!

IWA Mid-South Wrestling returned to the National Guard Armory in Lafayette,
Indiana on Saturday night, January 31st. Here's what went down...

1. JAIMY COXXX def. EDDIE VENOM when Venom missed a running boot in the
corner, crotched himself on the top rope, and Coxxx covered him, with his feet
on
the ropes for leverage.

2. "The Tremendous" EMIL SITOCI def. "CK3" CONRAD KENNEDY III following
Tremendosity (reverse flying bodypress into a chinbreaker).

3. BJ WHITMER (w/ Jim Fannin) def. "Anarchist" ARIK CANNON following his
second exploder suplex executed during the course of the bout. Before the match,
IAN ROTTEN gave Cannon a pep talk about how Whitmer is a golden opportunity for
Cannon to keep working his way up the ladder in IWA Mid-South, and he needed
to seize that opportunity. Cannon put in a very strong showing, but could not
come up with the victory.

4. PETEY WILLIAMS def. CASANOVA following a snap neckbreaker.

5. DAIZEE HAZE def. MS. CHIF in an IWA Womens Division matchup with the
Daizee Cutter. The referee for the bout was Daizee's frequent opponent, and
sometimes tag team partner, MICKIE KNUCKLES, who called the match down the
middle. In
several instances, Ms. Chif took issue with Mickie's officiating, but the two
refrained from any physical contact considering Mickie's role as referee for
the contest.

6. MATT SYDAL def. DELIRIOUS to retain the IWA Light Heavyweight Championship
following a moonsault top rope belly to belly suplex. After the pinfall, BRAD
BRADLEY & RYAN BOZ hit the ring and attacked both wrestlers, which brought
CORPORAL ROBINSON, "Spyder" NATE WEBB, and others out of the locker room to run
them off. IAN ROTTEN announced that if Bradley and Boz are still angry that
Sydal and Delirious defeated them back in December, they'll get their rematch
against Sydal and Delirious on 2/28 in Lafayette, but it will be with tables,
ladders, and chairs stipulations.

7. JC BAILEY def. "Spyder" NATE WEBB in an I Quit Match. These two men
battled all around the Lafayette Armory for over 30 minutes of hard hitting
action,
which saw Bailey busted open early on from Webb's Fang (moonsault van
terminator). Webb set up three chairs inside the ring, stood on one, stood
Bailey on a
second, and hit Bailey with Soylent Green onto the third. Before Nate could
capitalize on the maneuver, BJ WHITMER hit the ring and gave Webb an exploder
suplex. This was followed up with further interference just seconds later from
BRAD BRADLEY and RYAN BOZ, who gave Webb their double horsecollar faceplant,
to allow for Bailey to force Webb to say "I quit." IAN ROTTEN ran Bailey from
the ring with a steel chair post-match, and announced that on 2/28 in
Lafayette, Bailey will have nowhere to run, and won't be able to have his
cohorts run
in, as it will be Webb-Bailey, pinfall or submission, inside a steel cage.

8. "Metalhead" STEVE STONE & CORPORAL ROBINSON def. BRAD BRADLEY & RYAN BOZ
(w/ Jim Fannin) in the main event tag matchup following Robinson hitting the
Boot Camp. Bradley and Boz effectively kept Robinson on the apron (and
continually knocked off the apron) for the majority of the second half of the
match, as
they dished out a double team beating on Stone. When Stone was finally able
to tag Robinson in, and it looked as though Corp and the Metalhead had victory
within their grasp, Jim Fannin took the attention of the referee. This brought
DELIRIOUS and MATT SYDAL out to ringside for a little bit of payback, as they
in turn distracted Bradley and Boz from the floor just enough for Robinson to
hit the Boot Camp and score the pinfall.

NOTES: The show was filmed for home video release, with commentary by Dave
Prazak, Ian Rotten, Nate Webb, and Arik Cannon... Fans in attendance saw the
debut appearances in IWA competition of Eddie Venom (Michigan), CK3 (Michigan
and
Canada), and Ms. Chif (Missouri)... In addition to the Bradley/Boz vs.
Delirious/Sydal TLC matchup on 2/28 in Lafayette, Ian Rotten also announced that
on
4/10 in Highland, as part of IWA's "Simply The Best 5" event, Sydal would get
the chance to do battle one on one with "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles... Danny
Daniels missed the event due to being kept for observation at the hospital after
sustaining an asthma attack while undergoing ear surgery on Friday. He will
return to action 2/13 in Highland... The 3/6 Highland event will take place as
part of an independent wrestling double header in the region, as our friends
at Revolution Championship Wrestling are holding an event in LaSalle, IL which
will begin at 1pm, while IWA will be running in Highland, IN at 7:30pm. RCW is
looking to set up a bus trip from LaSalle to Highland, and back, for those

IWA Mid-South returns to action on Friday, February 13th, at the Lincoln
Center (located at 2450 Lincoln Street) in Highland, Indiana. This event is
"Payback, Pain, and Agony." The Lincoln Center is just minutes outside of
Chicago,
off exit 2A on I-94. Bell time is 7:30pm. Tickets are $15, $12, and $10, will
be available at the door on the night of the event, and are currently available
in advance at the Lincoln Center box office.

IWA Mid-South Wrestling is back in action TONIGHT, Saturday, January 31st, at
the National Guard Armory (located at 5220 East 200 South) in Lafayette,
Indiana. Bell time is 7:30pm. Tickets are $15, $12, and $10 and will be

Ian Rotten has not received doctors' clearance to wrestle as early as this
this weekend, and as a result Corporal Robinson will team with Steve Stone for a
second Saturday in a row to battle Fannin's men in a tag bout, this time with
Bradley teaming with Ryan Boz in Lafayette. Ian was released from the
hospital late Wednesday.

Additionally, Danny Daniels underwent ear surgery on Friday. His
participation in tonight's event is questionable, depending on his condition
come bell
time.

--CORPORAL ROBINSON TO REPLACE IAN ROTTEN THIS SATURDAY!!
--IAN TO BE RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL SHORTLY!!

Ian Rotten has not received doctors' clearance to wrestle as early as this
this weekend, and as a result Corporal Robinson will team with Steve Stone for a
second Saturday in a row to battle Fannin's men in a tag bout, this time with
Bradley teaming with Ryan Boz in Lafayette.

Ian is expected to be released from the hospital at some point either today
(Tuesday) or tomorrow. Vince Jones took a few photos of Ian on Sunday evening,
which are currently online.

IWA Mid-South is back in action this Saturday night, January 31st, at the
National Guard Armory (located at 5220 East 200 South) in Lafayette, Indiana.
Bell time is 7:30pm. Tickets are $15, $12, and $10 and will be available at the
door.

Then, IWA returns to the Lincoln Center (located at 2450 Lincoln Street) in
Highland, Indiana (just outside of Chicago) on Friday night, February 13th.
Tickets are $15, $12, and $10, are currently available in advance at the Lincoln
Center box office, and will be available on the night of the event.

Ian Rotten's participation in the Eight Man Barbed Wire confrontation in
Highland will depend on his condition come the night of the event.
