IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Title

Dingo vs. Jimmy Jacobs

This
title shot was going to go to Ian Rotten on the original date of the
show. At the Jan. 3 Joliet show, Ian gave his title shot to Jimmy
Jacobs and said that if it was Jimmy's destiny to regain the title and
rectify the mistakes of the past...then it was time for it happen. Jim
Fannin didn't feel the same way and almost had heart failure on the
stage and swore that he wouldn't let it happen. Will Jimmy fulfill his
destiny or does destiny have other plans for Jimmy Jacobs?

Battle of TNA Knockouts
Mickie Knuckles vs. Payton Banks a.k.a. Rain

Mickie
and Rain have a long history in IWA Mid-South. They had a series of
great matches back in 2005 that saw Mickie on the winning side more
times than not. In 2004, Rain was able control the feud. It has been a
couple of years since these two have tangled but there is still no love
lost between them. Will Mickie run roughshot over Rain or will Rain use
her beauty and her brains to distract the referee and get a victory
over the Redneck Woman? Mickie will be at a disadvantage due to her
recovering broken leg but she won't use that as an excuse. Be in
Bellevue to see who the better TNA Knockout is and perhaps the winner
will be one step closer to returning to TNA?

DAVID vs. GOLIATH
Ricochet vs. The Necro Butcher

Ricochet
is one of the top high flyers in IWA. However, he probably only weighs
in at about 175 pounds. Necro is going to have at least a 100 pound
weight advantage. Can Ricochet use his quickness and aerial ability to
stay away from the madman known for destroying his opponents? Will
Necro use his size and strength to ground Ricochet and beat him to a
pulp? This is the ultimate styles clash matchup in IWA and it could
very well be the last time that Ricochet ever steps into a ring if he
can't stay away from the Necro Butcher.

Heavyweight Title Contenders Match

"New Horror" Sami Callihan vs. Tyler Black

Sami
Callihan's new year resolution is to prove to everyone by the end of
2009 that HE is the franchise and the future of IWA. He desperately
wants to be thought of as the Chris Hero of 2000 - 2004 in IWA history.
The guy that can do it all and wrestle anyone and not only win but win
over the fans as well. He's been a finalist in TPI, Strong Style and
Candido Cup. He's gotten victories in Double Death and over Mickie
Knuckles and Ian Rotten. The next thing on his checklist is to beat up
a former IWA Mid-South light heavyweight champion with tremendous hype
and fanfare on the internet. Can Sami top the MTV, ROH star or does he
still have more to accomplish before establishing himself as the
franchise?

Light Heavyweight Contenders Positioning Match

Trik Davis vs. Shane Hollister

Shane
Hollister will be making his IWA Mid-South debut and he has drawn a
very tough customer in Trikory Davis. While a victory in his debut
won't guarantee him a title shot, it will go a long way in guaranteeing
that he returns to IWA and that he will be taken seriously. If Trik
wins, whether by hook or by crook, the former IWA heavyweight champion
could see himself in title contention for the light heavyweight title.
Hollister has a lot of good press and hype behind him coming in to IWA.
Will he fold under the pressure or will we have another young rising
star in the IWA ranks in 2009?

Fan Requested Match

Chuck Taylor vs. Yellow Dog w/ Classie Lassie

The
fans were excited when this was announced for the original show
scheduled for Jan 2 and it will go down this Friday night in Bellevue!
Prepare to laugh. Prepare to cry. Prepare to be torn as to whom to
cheer for in this one ladies and gentlemen. If the same amount of kids
show up as the last time in Bellevue, it will definitely be something
to see how many of them Chuck can make cry.

Also appearing on the show:

Egotistico Fantastico

Jason Hades

Much much more.

Stay tuned to the message board for further updates.

Tables, Ladders & Chairs Grudge Match

Grits N Gravy (Elgin & Sami) vs. Michigan Militia (Brooks & Skyline) vs. Sex
Drugs & Wrestling (Chambers & Ash)

Elgin
teamed with Chambers at the first Bellevue show to take on the Militia.
Chambers turned on Elgin disgusted that he was using Sami Callihan as a
tag partner. That somehow was a betrayal to his Canadian roots.
Chambers promised that Elgin would never be able to get another
Canadian to team with him...including his former tag partner and man he
came to IWA with, Ash. It allowed the Militia to get a victory over
Elgin. Elgin and Chambers started an impromptu match against each other
when the Militia got involved again. They beat down both Elgin and
Chambers leading to the need for a 3 way. In order to make it a little
more interesting...tables, ladders and chairs will be allowed. Will the
Canadians side with the Militia or Grits N Gravy to make it 4 on 2
until the Militia is taken care of or will the past friendship of Elgin
and Ash mean nothing and every team fend for themselves? Maybe Sex
Drugs & Wrestling will work with the Militia to prove a point to
Elgin. The only thing known for sure is that chaos will ensue!

Much more to be announced for this event. Stay tuned to the message board for
further information

**************************Here are the results from the 1/17 TV Taping demo
courtesy of Scar from the IWA board:

Jim Fannin asked me to do the "Official" results in his
absence, admittedly i did not see all the action, so im sorry if there
are mistakes. here goes:

Ian announced that this show would be
broken up into 2 one hour sections (for the T.V. shot) and then there
would be a 6 man match for the #1 contendership to the World Light
Heavyweight title that would only be for the fans in attendance and the
DVD. side note, the ring has new ropes

Match 1

Devon Moore Pinned Prince Mustafa Ali w/ Trik Davis & Chuck E. Smooth

Devon
came out on top of a back and forth pinning exchange for the win. after
the 3 count Trik and Chuck both jump Devon, all three men held Devon
and began to try to put Ego's mask on him (yes, Ali is carrying Ego's
mask as a trophy, wearing it around his neck at times). Jason Hades
came to Devon's aid and got tossed from the ring for his trouble.
Egotistico Fantastico then made his way quickly to the ring, and gets
hit with a fireball from Trik.

Match 2

Ian Rotten & Mickie Knuckles beat Dave Allen and The Masked Masked Wearer Man

This
match was very one sided, so much so that Dave Allen never even got
into the match. MMWM took a lot of punishment from Ian and Mickie. Ian
and Mickie are guilty of gimmick infringement during this match. They
used the Iron Saints Kick (where each member grabs an arm and kicks the
opponent in the chest in turn), as this happened i looked at Sal
Thomaselli (who was on the stage) and he looked sad, maybe thinking of
how he and his brother used to love utilizing that move before Vito
turned his back on him. Ian and Mickie then used a double B Boy
dropkick to set up a Ace Crusher by Mickie and a stiff lariat by Ian.
both covered MMWM for the 3 count. Dave Allen threw his KO'd partner
over his shoulder to carry him to the back, knocking his head into
seemingly everything that he passed by. funny stuff

Match 3

Bill the Butcher w/ Kimberly Ka$h pinned Troy Walters

Ka$h
led Bill the Butcher too the ring by a chain around his neck and a hood
over his head, once the bell rang Ka$h took off the chain and as soon
as the hood was off, Bill charged for Troy. good back and forth
wrestling from these two, but Bill was just to much for Troy, hitting
him with a powerslam from the top for the pinfall. i have to wonder if
Troy was mentally ready for this match, or was his mind still reeling
over the fact that he is Kimberly Ka$h's second choice.

Match 4

The Hooligans defeated Da Soul Touchaz (Marshe Rocket & Trauma) w/ C-Red &
Dymond

C-Red,
escorted to the ring by his wife Dymond, was still showing the effects
of the Soul Shooters attack on him from the last show in Joliet,
wearing a neck brace and carrying his arm in a sling. The Hooligans
were able to isolate Mr. M-80 for most of the match, using every
underhanded, dirty, and, illegal tag team move in the book to keep
Marshe away from The Ghetto Gladiator. Well they couldn't keep him down
forever. Once Trauma got the tag he came like a ball of fire, clearing
house, hitting a spinebuster on Mason Cutter. With that, Marshe seemed
ready to help his partner, Marshe climbed to the top while the ref's
back was turned only to be shoved out to the floor. with that Trauma
was distracted and hit with a moonsault by Devin, and it still took
both Hooligans to keep Trauma down for the 3 count.

Match 5

Michael Elgin beat Jeff "The Hook" Brooks

Just
as he turned around to hang his leather vest on the turnbuckle, Elgin
was attacked from behind, and Brooks took control from there, even
getting Elgin set into position for that pretty shooting star press he
uses. But The Canadian Crazy Horse had it scouted and was able to move
out of the way, immediately putting Brooks into a Canadian Crossface.
Brooks had no options, he had to tap out. im sure that wont make
Christian Able and the other members of the Michigan Militia too happy.

Match 6

"Quick" Carter Grey w/ Kimberly Ka$h pinned Ricochet

Ricochet
dazzled the crowd with the running backflip up the wall entrance that
we enjoy. I didnt get to see all of this match because i was having
problems with the company credit card machine (Sox, couldnt you wait
till int. to get your KOTDM tix? ),
but what i did see was a lot of interference by Ka$h, for which she was
met with chants of "Booze Hag". Quick was able to hit Ricochet with the
box cutter for the pinfall victory.

end hour 1

Ian had a
few announcements: the 11th entrant into KOTDM is BJW star Masada! the
KOTDM finals this year will be a 4 man final, in other words only 3
rounds.

Match 7

Juice Robinson beat Jason Dukes

Dukes
hit Juice with a flip through the top and second rope from the ring to
the floor to which i saw Dukes look a fan directly in the face and say
"pretty good shit huh?". Dukes went for a high cross body off the top
that Juice rolled over for the pin. Dukes was not happy about this, he
got a chair and after a shot to Juice's ribs Dukes hits a reverse
Kennedy roll on the chair. Dukes is boo'd all the way to the back.

Match 8

Michael Elgin pinned Jason Hades

Hades
went for a Killswitch early, Elgin reversed it into a Alabama slam.
Hades fought back and positioned Elgin for, and hit him with, a top
rope frog splash for a near fall. Hades then again tried to get the
burly Canadian in position for the Killswitch, Elgin reversed it right
into a Canadian Crossface that Hades was able to get out of but right
into a Davy Boy power slam for the 3 count. This match was followed by
a thunderous IWA chant, followed by a "Hades" chant. While he was on
his way to the back Elgin was attacked by Kris Chambers, Hades helped
to run him off.

Match 9

Zach Gowen pinned Kris Chambers

Good
back and forth action until Chambers thought he was going to use Zach's
prosthetic leg against him as a weapon, that prompted Elgin to make a
ring side appearance in the match. While Chambers was distracted with
Elgin, Gowen hit Chambers with a low blow, that allowed him to use the
leg against Chambers, and sets up the one legged moonsault for the
pinfall victory.

Match 10

Ricochet pinned Devon Moore

Before
the bell Ricochet slingshot himself over the top rope as Devon was
still making his entrance. The match continued outside, there was a
spot off the stage but i was unable to see it. Devonm hit Ricochet with
the SSP off the apron to the floor, but Devon would fall to a double
and a half senton by Ricochet. Both men shook hands after the match.
There was a "thank you Devon " chant after the match

Match 11

Trik Davis w/ Ali and Chuck E. Smooth beat Egotistico Fantastico

Ego
came out with his shoulder wrapped. Trik tried to steal Ego's "sit a
guy in a chair and hit him with a flying clothesline" spot(while
wearing Ego's cape) but, while Ego was sat in the chair, he saw Trik
coming, and was able to trip him up with a drop toe hold, face first
into the chair Ego was sitting in. Trik was able to gather himself up
to sit in the chair and while Chuck and Ali were tending to him Ego was
able to regain his cape and dive over Ali and Chuck and hit Trik with a
flying clothesline, smashing a chair in the process. Chuck and Ali,
still sporting Ego's mask, interfered in this match as much as they
could. Ego hit Trik with the Taco Pizza into the turnbuckle, as he set
him up on his shoulders to finish him of, Chuck grabbed Tricks hands,
Ego was able to pull Chuck into the ring, as the ref turns to get Chuck
out of the ring, Ali low blows Ego and that allows Trick to get the
pinfall.

Match 12

Quick Carter Grey w/ Kimberly Ka$h beat Dingo to become the new IWA-MS World
Light Heavyweight Champion

The
ring could not contain this match, these wrestlers brawled all over the
arena. Dingo was able to irish whip Quick into the chairs, followed by
an irish whip into the brick wall. The next significant action was when
Quick colided with the ref, knocking him down and out, Dingo used the
opportunity to hit Quick with a fishermans buster. Dingo went for the
cover but there was no ref to make the count, the crowd counted
loudly...1....2....3. That is when Ka$h saw her chance to help, she
jumped on the apron and distracted Dingo. Quick was able to regain his
senses and dug into his apparel and pulled a bag of powder and hit
Dingo in the face not only once, but twice, with the powder. At that
moment Jason Hades appeared to attempt to nullify Ka$h who was still on
the apron and trying to hand Quick some kind of foreign object. He was
unable to stop her and Quick hit Dingo with the silver piece of metal,
and then shoved in Hades' trunks while his back was turned. The ref
comes too and Dingo is pinned. Quick is the new IWA-MS World Light
Heavyweight Champion. Hades tends to Dingo who has been busted open,
Dingo finds the object in Hades trunks and was not happy with this
finding at all. Dingo screamed "why did you do it Hades" to which Hades
could only reply "i didnt do it". Hades exits the ring only to have
Dingo follow him, accusing him all the way. Hades had had enough and
the two former LTHW Champions shove each other to the locker room area.

end hour 2

Match 13

Ricochet won a 6 way match for the #1 Contendership to the World Light
Heavyweight Title

Too
much action in this one, im not even gonna try to put it into words.
Here are the facts, this match was tag style, 4 men on each corner, 2
in the ring. This match had Ricochet, Prince Mustafa Ali, T.D., Sal
Thomaselli, Devon Moore, and Troy Walters. Ricochet pinned Sal for the
victory. After the match Quick and Ka$h appeared on the sound stage
Quick grabbed a mic and stated that none of these guys would ever get a
shot at "his" title, and that he has another booking next month, so
there will be no title defense. Ian gets a mic and informs Quick that
if he is not in Joliet on Feb. 7th, he will be stripped of the title
and he and Ka$h will both be fired. Ian also says Quick will defend
against Dingo AND Hades on the 7th. Quick is then chased from the ring
area by all the participants of the match.
side note: Ali took a
nasty fall from the top to the floor. the extent of his injury is not
known at this time. i didnt see exactly what happened but it appeared
to be his knee that was injured.
